Medifast Weight Control Centers

I started at the San Marcos location seeing Kate (who has recently become the location manager here) and now I am seeing Silvia since I switched locations to be closer to work. Both of these ladies are amazing! You can tell they genuinely care about your success with the program and they are with you for the good and bad. If you are considering starting a weight loss program I highly recommend calling to schedule an appointment and they will coach you through the difficult weight loss process while helping to teach you better food choices to keep the weight off.

I have struggled with my weight since childhood, and so have tried
multiple different programs and means for weightloss. Medifast has
been the only program that’s worked for me. I started my journey in
May 2013 at my heaviest, and by January 2014 I was the slimmest I’ve
ever been. The program is easy to follow, and the counselors are
wonderful. Due to moving (both myself and my counselors), I’ve been
to three different centers. All the staff at each center are warm,
encouraging, and available. They hold you accountable without shaming
you, and celebrate your victories with you. I am very happy with my
results through Medifast, which is why I continue with them!

This is my second round with Medifast and this time I decided to get some help with a counselor. I’m at week 3 and I’ve lost 10.8 pounds and over 6 inches. Tiffany is very helpful and friendly and they have all kinds of tips and tricks to help you stay on track. I will update my post as soon as a few more weeks pass ;))

I started with Medifast on March 10, 2015. Since that time, I succeeded in reaching my 14 pound weight loss goal in 35 days, which was ahead of schedule. Then went on to lose an additional 4 pounds. My success was due to a great Medifast program that provides you with the foods you need, a wonderful program structure and very supportive counseling. Over the last 20 years I have tried other weight loss programs but none of them compare to The Medifast program. Thank you Medifast! I’m very pleased with my result!

I am writing because this is the year I am finally making and sustaining changes. Yes, I have tried many plans: Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Thin for Life; and many popular diets: Paleo, no white foods, high carbs/​low fat, high fat/​low carbs, and too many more to mention.
I had also tried Medifast in 2012.
Despite my best intentions – my weight fluctuated between 5 – 10 pounds – and my weight crept back up to my pregnancy weight by December 2014. Though I exercised, I also found that I needed to nap nearly every afternoon. I did not feel healthy despite others’ comments, «You look so happy…»
2015 became the year I decided to come back to Medifast and try again. So far I have lost 11 pounds. It has not always been easy. Though it would be great to see the scale drop a few pounds each week, sometimes it stayed the same or even went up one or two pounds. At times, I have felt really discouraged.
That said, my counselor, Kristin, has been there every step of the way. We chat about what seems to work and not work for me. During the weight loss phase, almonds seemed to stall my weight loss efforts, even though they were an acceptable «snack option.» Kristin advised me to think about other options if I got «the nibbles» during the weight loss phase.
In the transition phase to Maintenance, I realized that the «grains» were not working for me. So we figured a way for me NOT to have them as a regular part of my food choices and now I am holding at 11 pounds down.
Recently, I have added weight training (lifting weights). In a mere 2 months, I have lost 1.7% body fat and gained 1 pound of lean muscle despite seeing the same weight on the Medifast scale. These are HUGE changes when I am only 5 feet tall and 108.7 pounds. I suspect that as I continue transitioning and weightlifting, I will lose a few more pounds and exchange even more body fat weight for lean muscle weight. I just love the body analysis machine; it tells me just where changes are happening in my body!
Kristin’s positive encouragement, Sam’s pep talks, Silvia’s warm and friendly smile, and Alan’s cheery reminder phone messages have helped me stay the course.
I will probably never be one of those people who «forgets to eat» or is naturally thin. At 53 years young, however, the Medifast staff, and Kristin in particular, have helped me realize that I can enjoy occasional treats and still remain healthy and fit. I can’t say enough about my experiences this time and KNOW that if/​when a person is REALLY ready to commit to change, the Medifast staff at the Encinitas branch is here to cheer every victory and work through every challenge.

I lost 40lb with Medifast and I’ve been able to keep it off! There are lots of great tasting meals and the counselors are so helpful. I would have to say the most important part of this program is coming into talk with your counselor on a weekly basis. She kept me on track and the monthly body scan is great!

Outstanding program and a very capable and caring team who helps keep clients on track The program makes sense because it’s high protein and lower carb. It also got me into the habit of choosing better meals and healthy snacks, which carried over to my kids — so we all benefit.
