Dr. Galli has been practicing Dentistry for over 17 years and has been practicing in Encinitas since 2000.

History

Established in 1995.

r. Galli and his wife moved back to San Diego in 1998 after he attended UC San Diego from 1985 – 1990 and after he finished dental school at UCLA in 1994. He started his private practice in Encinitas in 2001 and has lived in Encinitas since 2004. His two kids attend El Camino Creek Elementary and Oak Crest Middle School, and will go to La Costa Canyon High. Among his passions are serving in the Men’s Ministry at his church, surfing with his kids, and «family board game night» at home.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Galli. I went to the office for a cleaning and also to fill two cavities, which I already knew I had from a visit to another dentist. Once I heard I had the cavities, I specifically visited Dr. Galli as I had heard good things about him and I didn’t feel comfortable trusting the other office with the fillings. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of time Galli spent personally cleaning my teeth rather than relegating all tasks to assistants like you often see in dental offices. Also he didn’t try to scare me about all sorts of future work I’ll need like some dentists do. The fillings worked perfectly — I didn’t notice them at all once I left the office. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff as well.

I used to be scared to go to the dentist. Now every time I come to Dr. Galli I am excited! Him and his staff and wonderful! I have had some horrible past dental experiences and Dr. Galli and everyone there put me at ease and made sure I was ok and comfortable the whole time. He will always be my dentist and I’ll never be scared to go to the dentist again! Thank you Dr. Galli and staff!

I almost don’t want to write this review as I am concerned that once people find out how good Dr. Galli is, I won’t be able to get an appointment!
I was with my La Jolla dentist for years but she moved and the replacement dentist was not very thorough. My Wife had been going to Dr. Galli and said he was excellent. And she was right! Explains everything very well and his assistants are very thorough and offered great service. I go there several times a year for cleaning and they just replaced a crown. They make their own crowns on site with an advanced imaging system. This means only ONE visit for a crown replacement!

As a new client of Dr. Galli’s, I recently went into his office for my regular cleaning. The dental hygenist asked if I was using my nightguard to prevent recession and grinding at night. I indicated that I did not like wearing it, but was complying. She mentioned this to Dr. Galli and after he further questioned me, I explained that my older nightguard was uncomfortable and I felt like I was still grinding on it at night. He suggested making another type of nightguard with different material and more slimline. After it was made, he took time to perfectly adjust it to my mouth. After wearing it the first night, I noticed that my jaw did not feel so tight! Finally, my muscles did not feel bruised in the morning with the new nightguard! He even called me a couple of days later to see how it was working out! Now that’s patient commitment! Thank you, Dr. Galli, for listening to me and going above and beyond to create a more appropriate nightguard for my use!

Dr Mark Galli, DDS, is an excellent dentist in all ways. He’s professional, has excellent skills, has high ethical standards, is caring, and a just plain, easy-​going nice guy. All dentists are not created equal — as some of us have found out the hard way. I’ve had a lot of dental work done (& redone) over the years, crowns, root canals, implants — you name it, some great, some not so great. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Galli a few years back. He’s really good.

I hate the dentist, but Dr. Galli is actually one of the few not to worry about. He and his staff are not only friendly as all hell, but talented in not tearing up my gums during routine cleanings. Plus their office is really nice, and apparently he’s big into ortho too if your bite is gnarled. On my initial visit, they performed a comprehensive x-​ray that wasn’t covered by my insurance, so you might want to have them get pre-​approval of some sort if you’re expenditure-​averse, but other than that it’s been nothing but dental joy.
