French Nails & Spa

I’m so happy I found this nail salon! I made an appointment and they were on time which is so nice! I’m so bummed I didn’t get my nail technician’s name, but she did an amazing job and was so so sweet! I’ll be back for sure!

They had me at: «Would you like champagne?»
They treat you to a glass of champagne, white wine, or red wine when you get a spa pedicure! SUPER COOL. It makes a visit to the nail spa feel even more relaxing.
I’ve been here several times for gel manicures and gel pedicures. They have a massive amount of gel polish color selections. Big plus! I’ve always been happy with their work.
They’re located by Solace and Whole Foods in Encinitas.

I’ve been here a few times, all walk-​ins and each time was a good experience. No wait, and quickly attended to. On one of the visits, I had a mani/​pedi and 2 ladies were available, so I was able to have them done at the same time. Actually, I was the only person in the salon for my entire service (opening hour, on a Sunday), so take note on that. I’ve had both gel and normal manicures here, and I actually prefer the regular. Not only is it cheaper, but it still lasted on my nails for 2 weeks with no chips. I selected an Essie brand polish, which I have found to be the longest lasting, both with home manicures and going to get them done. My pedicure was also very nice, and I got one of the «premium» services, which included a scrub. I don’t do the add-​on all the time, but it was pretty nice. I didn’t notice too much of a difference a few days later, thought. I will say that with the normal manicure, I noticed a few bubbles in my polish job immediately after leaving the salon. I’m not incredible particular, and they were small enough that I was the only one that knew they were there since generally other people aren’t examining my nails. Good prices, and good service, I imagine I’ll return here for the occasionally mani/​pedi services.

I LOVE this nail salon! I went as a walk-​in and was helped right away. Sam did my full set acrylic nails and he was very attentive and nice. He listened to me and made sure I was happy every step of the way. He even showed me his Instagram for my ideas on the shaping of my nails. Will come back and ask for Sam every time!

A little over a month ago I was in need for a last night minute full set, I called around to a few places and there was an appointment available here.
Walking in the place is very clean and open, they have a very wide selection of colors including everything in gel. Being very picky about my nails I told Sam exactly what I wanted. He never questioned anything but instead did exactly what I asked. He was very nice and you can tell he likes his job. He makes sure that everything is perfect and I have never had my nails done so well. I have since been back for a fill.
This will definitely be my new nail salon.

I was in need of a fill and a few nails to be glued back on so I googled somewhere near my job, and found French Nails & Spa and a few other places nearby. It was short notice, but they were very polite on the phone and welcomed me right on in. I had Sam, he did a fabulous job, asked me exactly how I wanted my nails and confirmed I was happy every step of the way! They even gave me a complemetary glass of wine =) (I mean come on!) Also HUGE selection of gel colors and very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be back!!!

I moved to Encinitas a little over a year ago and am so lucky to have finally found French Nails. Please let me say I have been everywhere in this town… and this place is by far the best for several of my needs.
First and foremost T… she does the best eyelash extensions I have ever had in all of North County and Orange County. I have been to a handful of «specialists» and she is by far the most talented. My eyelashes look and feel beautiful every time I see her. She is kind, patient and her technique whatever it may be lasts and looks so natural. I truly would ONLY recommend T for eyelash extensions in California. It’s so relaxing I fall asleep every single time!
If you are looking for the most perfect shape «coffin» nails Sam is your man. Though he isn’t there as often, he is legit, does a great job and is fun to chat with.
Though French Nails is smack dab in downtown Encinitas I find their prices to be very reasonable. Their salon is very clean and I truly appreciate their services.

I have been coming here regularly for a year.

I totally lucked out with this place. I found it via Unilocal and so glad I did! I’ve been going to Carina since I moved here in July and she is amazing. My nails looks so good every time and Carina is so nice… she makes a point to remember all her customers and I love that. I will be sticking with her for years to come! Oh and the salon is very clean and they give you ice cold cucumber lemon water every visit :) it’s like a gift with purchase!

Love this place. Ask for TINA! She left for a little while and Im so glad thats she’s back! She’s the cutest and does such an amazing job. I always get gel manicures and they last for at least two weeks.

Love this nail salon. Clean, affordable, has many varieties of gel colors. Carina is AMAZING. My nails last for over 2 weeks!!! Friendly staff, great pricing, definitely recommend this salon to all my friends in the area! Thank you Carina for always taking me in & making my nails look fab!

CARINA is the best. I’ve been going to her for 7 years and followed her to this salon. It’s very clean, nice and relaxing. She mixes the pink and white powder to create an awesome light tone for my nails that lasts awhile and doesn’t chip
They literally have 1,000+ different colors to chose from which I love.

STAY CLEAR! I had been going here for a year for regular Manis and pedis. The only place I had gone to. I got and toe fungus last June (2014) I had to spend $ 300 in dr visits and prescriptions! I fought it for 6 months. It finally went away and is now back with a vengeance (April 2015!)The podiatrist told me once you have it you will always be prone and it will most likely come back. IT’S NOT WORTH A $ 34 dirty pedicure in an dirty basin with dirty tools! Pretty disgusting and my bad for going there! I work on my feet and it’s very painful, can’t wear closed toe shoes and it’s so ugly… I will post a picture.

Nice salon and very friendly staff. First impression walking in, nice mani and pedicure stations and very clean. The woman who did my gel manicure was very nice. The work she did was great. I have small nails and she was very meticulous and took her time. She did about 3 color coats and the whole appointment lasted about an hour. At the end she gave me an arm and hand massage, which was very relaxing.
The salon is competitively priced. I will definitely be going back to try their pedicure services.

I’ve only been here twice now, but I know I’ll keep coming back. The staff is friendly, they’re open on Sunday, I never wait long and they do a GREAT job!
Today I stopped in for some festive nails for the holidays. I provided a picture of what I wanted and Kendra totally delivered! I think she had as much fun creating my design as I will showing it off.
Another perk: they don’t pull out a kitchen timer when they start your foot massage. Pure quality.

Great nail salon in the middle of the action on Hwy 101… between Solace and Whole Foods. The salon layout is very open, bright & tranquil… cucumber/​lemon water brought to you upon arrival (& choice of wine if you’re in the mood!), offers TONS of nail design options (you get 2 free designs when you check in on Unilocal), which I feel is hard to find in the Encinitas area and overall great selection/​variety of polish colors.
My last shellac lasted full 3 weeks (actually 23 days to be exact)…during tons of summer swimming, that was a pleasant surprise!!! My new go-​to place for sure!
