We offer traditional Martial Arts training with emphasis on practical self-​defense, fitness, flexibility, endurance and conditioning. Additionally, we also offer weapons classes in traditional weapons such as long staff, Nunchuku, Kama, Sai and sword.

Our children’s program’s teach concentration, respect and courtesy, self-​discipline and overall fitness. We also have monthly programs for children that change monthly, focusing on important subjects such as responsibility, discipline and perseverance.

Lastly, our Karate birthday parties for kids are a great way to make your child’s birthday memorable and exciting.

History

Established in 1999.

Founded in 1999, Encinitas Karate continues to thrive by providing exciting, high energy classes to adults and children in Encinitas, Olivenhain, Carlsbad, La Costa, Rancho Santa Fe, Cardiff, Solana Beach and other surrounding areas. The now solo-​owner Master Santhi Castle actively teaches most of the classes, supported by an excellent team of dedicated instructors. Encinitas karats studio has been at the same location for the past 15 years, providing life changing results through martial arts training.

* Trained in traditional Karate in Malaysia from 10 years of age.

* Awarded Junior Black Belt at age 15 in 1987.

* Awarded First Degree Black Belt Shotokan Karate in Malaysia

In 1989.

* Began training in Tang Soo Do Karate in 2000 under the

International Tang Soo Do Federation.

* Awarded 1^st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do in 2002 at the

43^rd World Tang Soo Do Championships in Panama, under noted Grand Master Chun Sik Kim

* Awarded Second Degree Black Belt in 2004, under World-​renowned Grand Master Chun Sik Kim.

* Tested and promoted to Third Degree Black Belt in 2007.

* Certified Instructor by the International Tang Soo Do Federation.

* Tested and promoted to Fourth Degree Black Belt in 2014.
