Specialties
Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and high kill shelters, primarily those in the Los Angeles and San Bernadino, California high kill shelters, and place them into loving and forever homes.
Emerald City Pet Rescue runs entirely by dedicated volunteers who offer their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, transport and care for these animals. We Are a Rescue Group, Founded by Vivian Goldbloom.
Emerald City Pet Rescue is dedicated to the following goals:
Rescuing stray animals from high kill animal shelters, primarily the dogs and puppies of the Los Angeles and San Bernadino high kill shelters, who have not been adopted and are scheduled to be euthanized.
Emerald City Pet Rescue takes the animals who have been in the shelters the longest and will die unless rescued. Securing a no-kill facility where rescued pets can be safely sheltered without the threat of euthanization until we find adoptive parents.
History
Established in 2011.
Vivian Goldbloom, Founder, Emerald City Pet Rescue, Seattle, WA. Since childhood Vivian has been rescuing all types of animals, bringing home strays, injured birds and animals in need of love, luckily, her parents and siblings were also game. As an adult she became involved with animal rescue organizations and at 25 became a vegetarian. She decided 2 ½ yrs. Ago to put together a group of like– minded individuals that has become Emerald city Pet Rescue. Vivian believes in complete vetting, up to date vaccines, neuter/spay and microchipping any dogs, cats or horses being offered for adoption. She also makes sure any dentals, eye procedures, or anything else the animal needs is done prior to the animal being adopted because every animal, whether old, sick, purebred or mixed deserves a chance at a happy life. «I believe that all animals are sentient beings. They feel pain, agony and fear. They also feel joy and happiness and are an endless well of love in our lives.
