Things don’t always seem they way they are. The reason why i wanted to go from the siding is to keep the combs intact 100% in order to save the brood (babies). I know access could be made from the drywall; i am the one that make that hole; the reason i did not pull the comb that way was because it could destroy the comb thous killing the babies.

Also I would be amazed if there is 70 lbs of comb, this is not consistent with hives this year. Ask any beekeeper. Bees are crashing.
