Zumiez

I went in to the Zumiez store on Bay Street in Emeryville, CA and was helped by a man named Jojo on Friday Jan. 29^th, 2016 at approximately 12pm. Now, I have never done reviews on Unilocal before but hopefully someone will read this and will aware of what happens before they come and shop here. I came to the store to return shoes I had purchased online. As I was walking towards the counter, I noticed the man talking on his cell phone, I didn’t say anything because it is not my business what he does on the clock just as long as his does my return. So, he proceeded with the return not fully concentrated because he kept checking in with his friend saying he will be right back on the phone with him. He finished the return and gave me the receipt. I believed that was the end of it because how could you mess up on a return when the computer tells you what to do?
Well, I was wrong I checked my bank statement when the return posted on Sunday Jan. 31^st, 2016 and it said I was refunded $ 8.21 by Zumiez. Mind you, I was supposed to be refunded $ 82.11. I don’t know about you but the difference of $ 73.90 is a lot of money, especially as a college student trying to manage her money. My initial thought was that the gentleman kept the rest of the money. I hoped this wasn’t the case, but I went back to the store Monday Feb. 1^st, 2016 early in the morning to see if there was anything that could be done.
Rest assured, I got the difference back thanks to the manager, Rosario. She already knew about the return before hand, which made the process of getting my money back quick and simple. Thank you, Rosario.
To Jojo, I’m sorry I had to put your name on blast but what you did to me was unprofessional and rude. I do hope you learn from the situation and don’t continue this pattern of horrible customer service. The best of luck to you.
