We love food. We love creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. And we only accept a limited number of events, ensuring that each receives our full attention and has a top flight team of chefs and service staff. Our Chef/​Owner trained in some of the world’s greatest restaurants and he has recruited a team of chefs with similar backgrounds.

Whether it’s passed appetizers for fifty or a gala celebration for one thousand, we provide warm, friendly and professional service combined with delicious, beautifully presented world class cuisine.

We offer a full range of catering and event services for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Our kitchen and office is centrally located in Emeryville and we cater large and small events throughout Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Wine Country.

History

Established in 2004.

It was early 2004. Ethan and Tisa Mantle were seeking the perfect name for their new catering company. A few months into the search, Tisa came across the Latin root word componere in a food magazine article. It means «to bring every piece together» and captured their desire to build a company that obsesses about every detail of the client’s experience, from the first hors d’oeuvres to the last sip of coffee. Componere Fine Catering was born.

Business Owner

Owner/​Executive Chef, Ethan Mantle graduated from the CIA in Hyde Park, NY, where he received the Wine Spectator’s Award for Excellence and was the class graduation speaker.

His culinary training includes:

Georges Blanc in Vonnas, France, The French Laundry, Fleur de Lys, Farallon, Erna’s Elderberry House in the five star inn Château du Sureau, and the Lodge at Pebble Beach.
