My solar panels were installed in 4 hours. All the legwork and paperwork were done by solar city. I never left my house. So far everyone has been very responsive. There are no costs and I’m waiting for it to be finalized by Con Edison and then I can find out what the savings will be. No matter what, I’m happy to be helping the environment and keeping down energy costs.

I was just installed on 7÷24÷15. The crew was amazing. They did a great job installing I was truly amazed it only took 7 hours. The neatness of the job was fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing my bill chopped in half, and even more as O & R raises their rates.

We had our solar panels installed in September and have seen a drastic reduction in our electric bills. John Finnegan and the crew were extremely professional and helpful throughout the whole process. Especially with what they had to go through to change out our electric box! And the whole thing was free! Would definitely recommend using them.

Our system was installed in Sept. of 2014 and the entire job was completed in one day. Awesome work by all the workers involved in the installation of the panels. Mike DePalo was our Solar City Representative that came to the home. He was extremely knowledgeable with every aspect of Solar City and their product. He was honest, and very professional. We couldn’t have been happier with his service. Through out the entire process he was there for us. He still is answering and assisting us with everything involved with getting the system going. The entire process has been great. We really appreciate that SolarCity handles everything for us. Definitely a GREAT company to work with and would recommend them.

We just moved from Brewster NY to White Plains. Which means that our utility provider went from NYSEG to Con Edison. Our electrical costs overnight doubled!
Up until the moment we signed up with Solar City, our monthly average was $ 218. Now for a flat fee roughly $ 100 we are both helping the environment and putting money back on our pockets.
Christian Toebe from SC came and gave us a demo and after doing research of the various systems available, SC seemed to be the easy and logical choice.
The whole process takes about 4 months from signing up until the system is actually activated.
Except for a 30 minute trip to get a form signed by a notary, all the paperwork and contracts and communications have been done by email and online.
Solar City filed out all the paperwork with our town for the building and electrical inspections, permits, forms to file with Con Edison, basically everything.
At every step of the process we would get email updates on the progress and expected dates for completion of each step.
The installation crew was polite, friendly and took the time to answer all my questions while they were here. Did I mention that they did the install in the pouring rain? The crew chief said they basically work through rain/​snow/​heat/​etc.
Our system was activated 4 days ago. The online monitoring system kicked in after 2 days and we can now watch the system as it converts the suns rays to electricity on our iPhones or computer.
It’s a no brainier. We didn’t have to spend a penny out of pocket and are now saving at the very least $ 1200 a year.
