Meeder Design & Remodeling

Appointment set with the office for Patrick but no show and no call. Second appointment set and Patrick arrived over one hour late. Discussed our requirements but never received a quote as promised or even a call. It was a decent size job. Incidentally, I was told that I would probably need to run new electric to an area that would switch over to LED lights even though I have new service in the house and the overall draw would be less with the LED’s than the old style bulbs. I was suspect and now after reading some posts I think I dodged a bullet by not hiring Meeder.

Had new siding installed 2 years ago by Meeder construction … The sales pitch was great, and I was told that they would be back for touch ups and power washing… after the wrong siding was ordered (had to add new moldings to correct the mistake)…I was going to remodel the front porch … A job Meeder construction promised they would do. (never done!)The overall job was a slop job … I called Meeder construction personal cellphone and business phone with answering service no one ever returned my calls… this was a pretty big job and we worked around my budget… however I called back this year (after zero response last year) in one last attempt to get the shotty work corrected no calls have ever been returned… nothing has ever been resolved… and Meeder construction has lost off on a major kitchen remodel that I am planning this year. One job was done to my satisfaction… A new door that I ordered from HomeDepot was installed beautifully… buyer beware as I said before beware! beware!! beware! this
Man does not return calls after the work is halfway done!! still two years later it looks halfway done… pictures are below you decide for yourself.

Project: Exterior remodel on a 1917 home
Met with Patrick the younger owner and really liked him! He was nice, had great ideas, and spent a good amount of time going over his materials. We talked about what we wanted and budget, and took his list of previous jobs and drove around to see them. We were excited about the next meeting.
So, we had to delay the 2 week followup he wanted because of work. We called and left 2 or 3 messages without reply to set up an appointment. Finally someone answered and we made an appointment and stayed home from work one morning so we could both be there but… no show! Called the «on call» service and they said they would call his cell and have him get back to us, must be an oversight etc… nothing! He never called us again! Ever!
Maybe he is too busy or has too much business, but we would have been a 30−40G project. I’m glad we learned BEFORE the project how hard it is to get ahold of him and how well he follows through on things. Not recommended.

We used Meeder this past spring to redesign our family room, paint our kitchen, remodel our laundry room, and remodel a powder room. We were very pleased. After meeting with the owner, every person we worked with on his team was professional and talented. The designer was awesome, she had great ideas on how to maximize space in our laundry. The painters were total rock stars — the best painters I’ve ever seen. The contractors were all extremely polite, thoughtful, and skilled.
Everyone was very detail oriented and that resulted in new spaces that we are totally happy with. I highly recommend Meeder and we will definitely use them again in the future!

Project: Tile removal, Hardwood Floor and Carpet Installation, 2300 Sqft
Completion Due 1÷31÷2014. We closed the project on 2÷7÷2014, project unfinished.
Good initial meeting with the Meeder owner and working through the quote process.
Unfortunately, It all stopped there.
Meeder did not honor our original written contract agreements.
The lead contractor was rarely at our job site. Poor to zero communication.
Their Lead Contractor and crews had no reasonable over-​all respect for our home and property. They parked their work trucks in our garage. Our 1^st Floor Bathroom is totally abused by crew usage. Urine everywhere including walls and floors. The new hardwood floors had salt stains and mars from their construction crews coming in and out of the weather. No protection was laid down on the newly installed flooring. No protection provided for our Stainless appliances. We ended up wrapping the appliances ourselves.
Due to the lack of Meeder involvement, I personally had to over-​see most of the project activities including the entire Carpet installation project from scheduling measurements, to the organization and overseeing the entire installation. I had to personally scrape, sweep and vacuum to prep for the carpet installers. Meeder was continually asked for 2 weeks to complete and never did.
Re-​installation of the shoe molding issues. Unacceptable quality with gaps and inconsistencies to the new flooring.
All home Air Ducting was full of tile and cement board debris as well as hardwood floor pieces. I had to personally remove debris and vacuum out all ducting.
Entire home cleaning was part of the contract but not honored.
