Nothing says«I love chocolate» other than being greeted the minute you walk in with an oversized sample of home made delicious sea salt caramel fudge. The sample was so generous I felt like I had cheated them of giving me 1⁄3 of their fudge. That or the gentleman knew I was looking to satisfy my «hormone raging, estrogen induced, emotional inner I-hate-my– body teenage girl, only chocolate can comfort me» attitude. Sighhh, I am woman. It’s complicated. I happily settled with the Signature Chocolate Turtle ice cream in a dish. That’s pure joy creamy frozen milk chocolate with a ribbon of caramel and chunks of salty pecans. Ooyyy, I am no longer a threat of crazy. Only happy feelings right here. Also bought a caramel apple. Geeez, I will never buy those Affy Tapples from Jewel Osco anymore. That $ 4 was so worth it. That caramel is sinfully good. Darn you Kilwins and your magical ways.

Omg sooo good. I’ve had their in-house made fudge. I love all of them(salted caramel, turtle, and marshmallow filled fudge). They also make ice cream with the same fudge flavors. Very delicious and rich ice cream flavors. Also had chocolate covered marshmallows(come in dark and milk chocolate). Staff is always super friendly when you come in. Definitely want to try other things they have like chocolate covered sweets, caramel apples. The only con, not for me but my niece. They make everything on the same counter including nuts so I felt AWFUL when I had to tell me niece we couldn’t get anything! :-( Oh and I was eating ice cream outside and started to smell the fudge coming out of a vent. Genius! !! Lol You can also watch them make the goodies in the front window.

Good Lord! Great, great, great, treats for a hard days work. However, I cant pay their prices. Way out of my league. My wife deserves the best… and they are right there at being the best, but an $ 8 bear claw. Just can’t do it. I’ll buy my wife that $ 8 bear claw again but she can’t do enough trapeze acts at the 11 pm hour to make it worth it. Elmhurst, as a whole, has some dinero, but not that much that will be able to keep those doors open. I hope they adjust their price points so they don’t become another Elmhurst treat store to come and go.

The chocolate peanut butter ice cream is intense! The most rich and flavorful chocolate I have ever experienced in an ice cream cone. Perfect peanut butter. Sadly, their chocolate candy is lacking in chocolate flavor, as is the fudge. And although the caramel on their caramel apple is buttery enough, it hasn’t been scotched long enough to give it that slightly burnt flavor that makes caramel so rich.

Good God I thought I died and went to fudge heaven! Walked in and both employees were extremely kind and helpful. Right away they offered us fudge and ice cream samples. I felt guilty for wanting to try every single type of fudge, but not too guilty. The salted caramel fudge? Yes, please! Their ice cream was wonderful. It’s a little pricey– my friend paid $ 8 for a two scoop waffle cone. Worth it, of course. I walked out with a small cup myself. And a little bag of goodies I finished off later that night.

The fudge is the bomb diggity! By far the best fudge I’ve ever had. Also, the apple pie apple is my new favorite. The employees are super friendly there, excellent customer service. I highly recommend it!

Stopped in– even tho it’s snowing!- and got a scoop of the Sea Salt Caramel ice cream. Delicious and a HUGE scoop! Had a sample of the peanut brittle-made in house– and wound up buying that, sea salt caramel sauce, toffee crunch and chocolate covered pretzels. The owners are very personable and the product is high quality and worth every penny. Give them a try!

I’m so happy Kilwins has opened up in Elmhurst. What an amazing place! The ice-cream and fudge is outstanding! I love how you can smell the fudge being cooked from outside the store. I will for sure be going back again for more soon.

Brand new to Elmhurst. Just did lunch across the street. Noticed they were open for business. Wanting to try their ice cream, we walked across the street after lunch to get a cone. Very well designed store, super new, clean, and very nice people working there. The good: Gave me a sample of the fudge. 5 star fudge. Then ordered one scoop cone mint chocolate chip. 4 star for the ice cream. Now the bad: They would have had me once a week after lunch for a cone, but… When the girl working there told me the price of one scoop of ice cream, I nearly fell over. $ 5.18 I’m sorry, but that is just too much. There is no ice cream worth that much money. I’ve always been a fan of local small batch ice cream places. But this is so over the top, I don’t know how they will stay open til summer. Please rethink your prices. I would love to come weekly for a cone. Called other places to see about pricing.(same cone, same size) Homers Wilmette, IL $ 3.28 Baskin & Robbins Elmhurst, IL $ 2.99 Cold Stone Elmhurst, IL $ 2.48 Oberweis Western Springs, IL $ 3.29 I’ve been messaged about Frozen Yogurt with toppings being the same price. That’s great to know, but it isn’t the same thing. So I called the Hyde Park Kilwins, their price for a quart of ice cream is $ 14.15 When I buy two prepacked at Baskin & Robbins It’s $ 9.

This is my very first Unilocal review and I had to do it for this place! I had the Kilwin’s Tracks ice cream in a chocolate waffle cone. OMG! The ice cream was heavenly with giant peanut butter truffles and fudge running through it. I don’t think I can get ice cream anywhere else ever again. Also the fudge and caramel apples are to die for. Highly recommend this place. Worth every penny!

My Mackinac fudge ice cream is excellent. I’ve never been to a Kikwins but it must be popular because it’s January 31, snowing, 9:30 pm and they are packed! My Mackinac fudge ice cream is excellent, the girls had caramel apples and love them. We will be making Kikwins a regular stop for us!
