I’m sooo surprised to see these bad reviews regarding Dr Donn. I have been seeing her for about 10 yrs. I find her to have great bedside manner. I feel very comfortable asking her anything. She has always been attentive to my needs. I find her a breath of fresh air.

Avoid if possible!
I don’t have a problem with doctors who are straight to the point, as long as they are meticulous about their profession. From my experience, I felt Dr. Donn didn’t take my symptoms seriously, and was dismissive. She was not organized and also didn’t like to be questioned and often seemed discombobulated. Furthermore, as for empathy, it’s definitely out the window. I went to go see Dr. Donn today, in regards to some discomfort and red flags I have been experiencing lately. She gave me her unwanted advice about my hyphenated last name. She continued to explain why I should stick to one (Unbelievable). Now since, we got that out of the way. I gave her a brief history and what I would like her to look for. The so called examination took less than 1 minute. I was confused, and assumed she would use an ultra-​sound to detect if anything was wrong. She said, I need to be seen by a doctor and to book another appointment. To my understanding she is a gynecologist. She said, she doesn’t like using «these machines» and it’s only for her pregnant patients. I was genuinely worried. She told me to get to the emergency room. I was completely flabbergasted and put my clothes on. She didn’t say a word, not even bye.

I feel it is my duty to write my experience for others and even the Doctor’s. I have gone to her for years at her Greenpoint office. Yes, she is a bit blunt and coarse but I overlooked it. I had lost an Aunt to ovarian cancer and went to her to get advice and make sure I didn’t have it. She cleared me and gave me advice about what to do to avoid it. A year later I was having problems and I thought they were hormonal but she started freaking out that it could be ovarian cancer and had me do many tests. One was an excruciating biopsy where she told me it would be quick and I could go back to work. I was in so much pain I passed out. The nurse who is great said I should have had someone with me.
I go a few weeks later to get the results and she is reading them out and then says «Thank God ovarian cancer doesn’t run in your family or I would think that is what you have.» I was stunned and said «My aunt had it, that’s why you did all there tests.» Then she says, and this was the ultimate slap. «Oh, she couldn’t have had it or she would have been dead in 5 years» I said «She was dead in less than one year.» Then she starts shuffling papers and orders a blood test for tumors. Why wasn’t it ordered in the first place? Then she says «We’ll wait a few month and then see what happens.» I ask if I should just have them removed. and she says «Well, that’s up to you.» And leaves.
I will never go to her again. How can you be so unprepared? I was in a panic for two months and it turns out I am cancer free thank God. I changed doctors.

Dr Donn, is by furthest the best ob gyn I have came across someone recommended her to me and it was love at first sight. I have went to Dr. Donn since I was 16. Years old so I have a good 4 years with her she delivered my baby girl who is now 3years old through emergency c-​section and might I say she did a fantastic job on my bikini line I’d have to say if it wasn’t for me having lost my insurance I would still be with her she’s very caring and patient and understanding she broke everything down for me and gave me a lot of good advice me being a first time mommy and young she help calm my anxiety about the whole pregnancy and let me say my pregnancy was bad hyperemsis for the first 5 months morning and day. Dr. Donns Queens location isn’t so nice looking but the Brooklyn office is nice and for the staff ana the blonde one and the Indian one lovely ladies also understanding

By far the worst experience I ever had with a doctor! She’s extremely rude and unprofessional. I actually gave this doctor a few chances. The deal breaker for me was when I asked for my test results she said why do you need them? it’s extra paper work in your house, I still insisted. she said its a waste of my ink! I am like don’t worry I will pay you for the copies! which was around $ 10 dollars. What a cheap a$$. And btw when your waiting for your test results she makes you wait for weeks! does not follow up or anything! If something is wrong with your test results she’ll call and break it down to you in the most careless way! Runnnnnnn or stay if you like, you will regret!
