Our family tried several churches in Elmhurst which were lovely. But when we sat and listened to Pastor Cliff Lyda deliver his sermon, we both felt like he was speaking directly to us. He is amazing, funny, down to earth, and in the most humble way delivers such wisdom. The music – oh MY! If you want to hear the voice of an angel – or someone that belongs on «The Voice» then listen to Gail sing and be prepared to be bowled over by her faith. A fantastic, friendly congregation, very relaxed, in my opinion it was a little more liberal like I am, but I bet there are some conservatives, but we just all talk like old friends, not really political. A loving, wonderful, amazing place.

My husband and I wanted to find a church that we could call our own. We had gone to a few churches, but could not find one that was right for us. Hubby was raised Lutheran and I was raised Catholic. We had a good friend that was a member of EPC, so we decided to give them a try. We fell in love during the first service. It is a church that welcomed us with open arms. Pastor Cliff’s sermons feel like he is talking directly to us and about us. We became members shortly after our first service. We actually enjoy going to church on Sundays.
