This is my favorite place to go for a great glass of wine and some awesome bread sticks. Their cheese plates and flatbreads are fantastic too. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, makes for a fun and relaxing evening out.

I’ve been there three times and every time I’ve been there it smells like sewage. They have a great selection of higher end wines, but I can’t stand to shop for more than 30 seconds. Definitely prefer Tannins.

Relaxing and fun tasting room that has something for everyone — wide selection of wines to taste, beer selection, light food to nosh on. The music system sounds great and the staff are helpful, relaxed and informative. Bottom line — fun.

A fav with the girls. Three of us enjoyed this gem on a Wednesday evening. They had $ 15/bottle specials and two of us enjoyed a lovely Italian Pinot Grigio, La Fiera. It has become a favorite! Owner is fab and attentive. Beautiful ladies room. Atmosphere is great.

I think Cuvee Cellars is one of three wine bars in Elmhurst. I have tried one of the others as well, but Cuvee easily tops the other with its great service and attention to the patrons. After I tried a couple different whites at Cuvee tonight, one of the owners(Craig or John?) suggested I try another that was very interesting(almost with a red’s complexity). But then he topped off my tour of two different sauvignon blancs and a pinot grigio with an excellent cabernet that provided a very smooth finish! Also, they had a live singer/guitarist! I’ll be back! :-)

Einfach klasse! Ich komme gerne wieder! - This is a really good spot. Here we have had a wonderful evening with amazing delicious wines. The service is great and accommodating … This combined with its beautiful interior, can the many good wines to buy and consume, as well as live music on Saturdays is Just great! I’m looking forward beeing here again!

Great selection of Pinot Noir and wine in general. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. A must stop place in the neighborhood. Ambience is laid back. Spring Road needs more places like Cuvée!

I went to Cuvee Cellars on a Saturday night with two of my girlfriends for a «Mamas Night Out.» This wine bar was an extremely pleasant surprise! The atmosphere in the wine bar was absolutely wonderful and relaxing. The lighting was low, but not dim. The seats were comfortable with plenty of throw pillows. The live band was fantastic — featuring a mix of 70’s to 90’s pop and rock hits. The bottle of Riesling I purchased with one of my gal pals was wonderful — crisp and not overly sweet. It was so good that I purchased a bottle to bring home with me. They have a small menu of upscale cheeses and chocolates. We purchased a dark chocolate plate — and it was fantastic. They also have a selection of gluten-free apple and pear ales, for those so inclined. I would definitely return for another«Mamas night out.»

Spring Street in Elmhurst kind of has that old timey Main Street USA feel to it – there’s a tavern, a bank, a mechanics garage, some family-owned restaurants, a hardware store and then BAM! – a sleek and shiny wine bar. Cuvee Cellars is tops on my list for sipping and browsing. I’ve wanted to visit for a while and we spent a nice time sipping on wine, noshing on a fruit/cheese plate and browsing for bottles to take home. The gent behind the bar was very helpful and very knowledgeable about wine without any pretension or snobby attitude. His recommendations for reds were exactly what I was looking for, so much I so I bought a bottle to enjoy at home as well. At the bar, there are several wines available by the glass and bottle and a small menu of small plates like cheese/fruit, hummus, charcuterie and chocolates. They don’t offer wine flights per se, but the short pour option(about $ 6 each) makes making your own flight pretty doable and affordable. There is some craft beer available as well as a full bar – which surprised me. But it’s a nice option because there’s always one person in your group that doesn’t like wine, right? The wine shop has an array of wines from the US and abroad, and there are many quite affordable bottles. There are also some sleek wine accessories for sale. There’s live music on Saturday nights and seasonal wine tastings throughout the year. The vibe while I visited was totally laid back and relaxing, but I plan to visit soon for live music Saturday nights!

Wine-o wanna be right hurrrr! I always thought wine-o meant that you really like wine, or know a lot about wine. So I like to still use it that way. I came here my first time to see my friends band do an acoustic set. Yes, they have live music on Saturdays from 8 – 11. I shared a couple bottle of wines with some friends and had a great time. It’s pretty small so theres not a ton of tables but I’ve never seen this place super busy. My only problem is that if you buy a bottle of wine to drink instead of a glass, theres $ 10 added on to drink it in there. My second time out was again to see some friends play but I was not really in a wine mood. They do have some beers and I was very excited to see that they had Two Bros Prairie Path because its… can you guess? GLUTENFREE! Woooo! Needless to say I was a happy girl. A couple friends had ordered cheese platters and they looked super tastey but I was not one bit hungry unfortunately. I kind of want to go back just for the cheese though! Basically, this is a nice little place for a quiet fun evening out!

Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for a glass of wine. The service was terrific. We were there early evening and the staff invested time with us on the wines they were pouring. A very nice local spot.

Cuvee Cellars is a wine connoisseur’s wine bar — or a connoisseur wanna-be, like me. The staff, especially the owners, are incredibly knowledgable about their wines and always have a fantastic recommendation. Their appetite seems to be for more of the domestic varieties, with a heavy concentration on cabs, pinots, syrahs, and merlots. They also carry a split of about 75% reds and 25% whites — but I will say that the whites they carry have all been phenomenal. I’ve attended wine tastings and had a drink at the wine bar, all which have been pleasant and educational experiences. But since they are in my hood and at the tail end of my running route, I generally stop here at night to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner. Thankfully they excuse my sweaty appearance and still help me! As a mostly zinfandel, syrah, and malbec drinker, I am happy to say that I’ve expanded my wine knowledge and tastebuds here at Cuvee, as I have tried different domestics that I might not have somewhere else. Glad they are in my neighborhood and hope they continue to do well. Oh, and they offer local music on the weekends!

Cuvee Cellars is a cute little wine bar walking distance from my home. What could be better, right? I’ve been here on several occasions to buy bottles as gifts or just for the house and the woman who works there(the owner, I think) is always very helpful. She doesn’t even blink an eye when I say I don’t want to spend more than $ 10 on the bottle that I’m going to drink alone while watching Desperate Housewives and everything she recs is fabulous. I have bought a couple gifts there as well and have gotten rave reviews from the recipients. On one occasion my husband, sister and sister’s boyfriend went there for the evening to try some of their food as well. They don’t have a big menu… mostly appetizers but when they did have was excellent. I had some parma ham that was to die for and a goat cheese spread that was amazing. The server suggested a bottle of white that we all liked based on what we told him we were looking for. And they even had a simple Miller Lite for my sister’s boyfriend so he was happy. I will say that the service that night could have been better. There were a couple times we kept looking for someone to come back and take our order or get us another bottle(we were outside and i think they just forgot about us a little). All in all though, I’m happy to have this place close to my house and I will for sure be back for the eats.

Oooohhhh Cuvee. The following review is based off of the last wine tasting they had, the Spring Wine Tasting… We decided to check it out, my husband and I… why not? Well we walked up and it was clearly packed to the gills(the windows were steaming up). we held our breath and decided to jump in. We should’ve sat on the edge… The place had too many people in it, it was cramped and hard to get around. We moved our way to the register and paid our $ 10. They handed us 2 stemless glasses, stemless glasses. you can never get the right feel of wine in those, personally can’t stand them. We cruised around talking to some of the vendors and tried their wares, some impressive, some not so much. This is where it truly goes wrong. The vendors are supposed to want to sell their wines… it’s called a tasting… this one vendor certainly did not want to seem to be there. he never really talked to us, never told us anything about any of the wines we tasted. what he really was interested in though was playing around with this young child that was running around… telling knock knock jokes… I believe this young man was the son of one of one of the wine shop owners, he should not have been there. The wine tasting was absolutely not the place for a young child. And by this distraction it left a very sour note in our mouths… let’s just say we left empty handed. I’m sure we won’t be back…

We stopped in for a visit last week, I have to say that the new wine bar in town has a nice feel. They have only a few wines by the glass, but you are sure to find a very nice one. We had the cheese plate, it was very very good, and enough cheese for 2 people for sure. It came with some flat bread and crackers, was very good. The owners are friendly, helpful and in my opinion educated in fine wines. Owning a restaurant and wine bar in the same town there is plenty of room for a good wine bar, and I HOPE they continue to be a great wine bar! The glass of Silver oaks sure hit the spot, they should do very well in Elmhurst!

As a wine bar fan and having lived and worked at a winery in Sonoma, I am picky to say the least. The folks at Cuvee know their wines and they are down to earth and friendly. They pour incredible wines by the class like Silver Oak and the prices are very affordable. It is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The décor is fantastic and it will be the perfect place to hang out either before or after dinner.
