The food is great. The burgers are the best in town. They have large portions of fries. The only downside is the cost of their milkshakes. They seem overpriced. But overall worth the wait for the drive through.

Really good drive-thru. Great burger! Fries still have some of the potato skin and are served fresh and hot. The shakes are among the best! If you are within a one hour drive from Elma it’s worth the drive!

Milkshakes are great. We are here, late. Wasn’t the top pick. Turned out to be reasonable. We’re giving it four stars based on the fact that it’s a roadside Drive up burger shack.

Exactly what a small town drive-thru should be. Great burgers but I go for the fries and gillam sauce.

Yummy home style burger and fries! Very friendly ;) A bit pricey but would probably spend same amount at gross chain burger place.

Delicious burgers, fast service with a smile. Toasted bun, grilled onions, plenty of lettuce. Juicy burger. The tots could use some seasoning. Generous portions. Clean bathroom in back. Perfect for drive thru and on the go.

Great service first of all. I recommend calling your order in ahead of time. Only because they can get very busy. The food is excellent and the employees are very polite. I can see why some may think it’s pricey but it’s not that much more than going to mcyds, only this food is delicious! And well worth the extra money. So quit your crying :) or go get a sloppy squished big mac for $ 5! I’m going to Smitty’s RIGHTNOW!

Decided to give this place a try on our way to the coast. So glad we ignored the negative comments, this was worth the detour off the highway. Yes, the place is tiny so you have to eat at one of two picnic tables or in your car. But if you’re looking for old school drive in food this is better than average and if you’ve been to other drive ins then you also know these prices compare to similar places. But yes, it’s more than a chain fast food place. We were a group of 7 and our bill was $ 57 for burgers and fries and milkshakes and sodas and mozzarella sticks and way more food than was needed. I recommend the turkey club by the way. Worth every penny and we’ll probably stop again on our way back!

This is the best place to get a great burger, fries, and a milkshake! My parent’s started going there in High School and they graduated in 69. They started bringing me there when I was born in 79 and I couldn’t be happier with there burgers then, then I am now! Great place to bring the family for some great food!

Over priced. Be prepared to blow 25 to 30 bucks for two people. Call up shoe jacks tavern for a burger to go, you will be way happier!

Have came here since I was a kid! Everything you get here is amazing! Bacon cheeseburger combo with tots are the absolute best! The portions of their drinks nad fries are not giant, however the fries are so delish and the burgers are huge, fair trade in my opinion! We come here as often as we can when we come through now!

The first time I went here, I got a plain hamburger and wasn’t impressed. But I gave it another try because there are literally no other fast food restaurants in the area. I got the cheeseburger deluxe, I think.(Whatever number 2 is.) It was so delicious. I am now obsessed with grilled onions, but no others are as good as the ones here!

Good old fashioned hamburger stand. You could really taste the seasoning on the burger. The meat wasn’t overcooked and was juicy. The chocolate milkshake was solid and really hit the spot. Tator tots were crispy and tasted great except for maybe a touch too much salt. Overall, a great stop on the way to the beach from Seattle!

its an ok place to pick up some food. I wish they had bigger drinks. I was crazy thirsty and their large size didn’t quench my thirst. their burgers and fries are ok.

One of the increasingly rare hamburger stands that really knows how to get that exquisite old fashion hamburger flavor combination just right. The right sweet bun, grilled right, the right quality meat, just greasy enough, the right order of the lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion and, for me, just mustard for the spread. This combination, this hamburger is a real zinger. I don’t bother with filling up on fries, I order two burgers instead. Wish we had one of these in northern, CA where I live. This is a definite come back place. 5 Stars for getting the classic hamburger right.

I only stopped here without pretrying the food and ordered chicken for 10. We decided on 16 pieces. They sell the chicken in groups of four. Everyone in our group enjoyed the chicken, but 16 pieces was a little short for 10. Some of the pieces were on the small side. This is all we had so can only speak about it. I did come cold and was served quickly which was appreciated. The only seating was under an easy up on a picnic table. Not a good thing in bad weather. If you don’t want to eat outside take it home.

If you want to wait abit, and have the greasiest burger you ever had, try here! Was not impressed at all, I waited for 15 minutes in the drive thru just to get soggy buns from the grease. Fries were on the burnt side. Milk shake was run of the mill.

We stopped by for burgers, fries and peanut butter milk shakes on our way to Spanaway after our razor clam digging adventure. Always a real treat as I think their food is the best around
