Take out restaurant with hand stretched fresh dough 10″ and 16″ pizza, and a 10″ gluten free option. We also serve hot and cold subs, burgers, fries, chicken tenders and nuggets, salads, daily soup specials, a full breakfast menu that includes ready to go breakfast sandwiches and breakfast pizza on Fridays. We also have a full convenience store with groceries, beer & wine. We specialize in getting you in, out, and on your way!

History

Established in 1897.

Mike’s Country Store was opened on Water St. in Downtown Ellsworth in 1897 by the Povich family. The original store burned in the great Ellsworth Fire of 1933 and was rebuilt shortly after where is still sits today.

Jeff C.

Business Owner

Jeff Clark is a native Mainer and has been an Ellsworth resident since 1999 when he got stationed in Southwest Harbor for his final tour in the US Coast Guard. Jeff went on to a career in real estate in 2002 and opened his own real estate office in 2006. In 2008 Jeff purchased a 2^nd real estate office in Downeast Maine. In 2014 when word got out that Mike’s was going to close after 117 years, Jeff and his wife Melissa decided to purchase Mike’s to keep the history alive.
