This is a great time for anyone. Beautiful place on the Cartecay River. There are 2 different floats. The hour float is the one we went on. Loved the views along the way. Huge area for picnics. Lots of toys for the kids to play on when you get back, tricycles and such. I want to come back and camp here sometime. Definitely worth your time.

I called to make sure they were open(due to the heavy rains) and they said that they were. When we drove out there, the gate was closed. I called the number and they boy that answered the phone said that the guy there for the day was probably going to get a group off the river. After waiting on the side of the road for 40 minutes in our running car for someone to get back(they never showed) we left and went to the Cartecay River Experience, a company we passed to get to Ellijay River Outfitters. We had a great time with Cartecay River Experience; I’d definitely recommend them over Ellijay River Outfitters.

This is a great alternative if you’re looking to get away from the crowds over in Helen. We went this Father’s Day and didn’t see a single soul on the river. Jason and the folks at Ellijay River Outfitters were super friendly and helpful. It was a perfect tubing day really, and to top it off, the price was right.

We used them for a group Memorial Day tubing trip and they were fantastic. The process was quick and easy and the prices for tubes was good($ 10/tube). Their price also includes transport and any safety gear you need. They also allow you to rent tubes for coolers which is awesome! The trip we did was about 4 hours and so much fun! They even checked on us(from the bank) about half way through the trip just to be sure we were good(which we were!). We were in a large group of 11… and the tubes were in good condition. No holes, deflating, etc… I HIGHLY recommend this company and WEWILLBEBACK!!! Thanks Jason and the rest of you guys!
