Established in 2013.

The firm’s owner practiced criminal and DUI defense for a large criminal law firm in WNY. After seeing a need in the rural counties for a local firm that focuses solely in DWI and Criminal Defense, The Law Office of John C. Nelson was created.

Meet the Business Owner

John N.

Business Owner

John grew up in Arcade, NY and attended Pioneer High School. He graduated with his B.A. from Canisius College. He attended Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Throughout law school, he clerked for a criminal law firm in Flint, Michigan. Upon graduation, he externed for Dekalb County Georgia Superior Court Judge, Tangela M. Barrie in Atlanta, Georgia, researching and writing criminal issues and cases.

After being admitted to the NY Bar, John practiced primarily criminal defense in Arcade, NY at the Law Office of Ward & Kutzuba. He was then recruited by The Trbovich Law Firm practicing solely Criminal and DWI Defense.

In addition to practicing law, John teaches Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law at Genesee Community College. He is an avid golfer and skier residing in Ellicottville, NY.
