History

Established in 2014.

Started in November 2014, Ellicottville Salt Cave and Halotherapy Spa provides an alternative, holistic, salt inhalation therapy to relieve respiratory ailments. A 45 minute salt cave session is equal to 4 days at the beach breathing in the healing salt air. The Salt Cave is built from pure pink Himalayan salt boulders, imported from Europe. Treatments benefit respiratory issues such as asthma, allergies, colds, and congestion.

Tracy’s decision to open a salt cave, in Ellicottville, began when she made some changes in her life. The Arcade native had worked as a massage therapist for about 10 years. A couple of years age, she found herself as an «empty nester» and she needed a change, so she decided to sell her house and move to Asheville, N.C. While there she experienced the healing benefits of Himalayan salt first hand. She became fascinated with the story about salt caves and began to do research about it. The culmination of all this is the Ellicottville Salt Cave, a place where she can share the healing benefits with the area that she loves.
