Finally a good«Joint» on Rt40 in Ellicott City! Beef Brothers deli is the real deal. Had a chicken cheese steak with all the trimmings and it was very tasty… perfect roll, hot and gooey, add whatever toppings your heart yearns for… faagettaboutit. My son had the cloak and dagger… corned beef, slaw, Russian dressing on rye, another gastric win. The real highlight was the homecut fries… fried to perfection, very crisp and not greasy, thinner cut makes all the difference. Can’t wait to return and try another sandwich or Pizza. They deliver too… and did I mention great beer selection and wine… welcome to the neighborhood, we’re glad you’re here!

Found this place & wanted to give it a try. Steak & cheese with Boardwalk shoe string kind of fries. Sub was great, bread tasted fresh. I loved the fries. Crispy & not greasy. Happy they can deliver to my area too. I will be coming back to try other items.

Love this place! Been there multiple times. It’s now our family’s go to spot. We’ve eaten at the restaurant and also gotten home delivery. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. The delivery is always fast and on time. Our favorites include the meatball sub, the Beef Brother sandwich, the pizza and the chicken cheese steak. The fries are awesome too and definitely don’t forget to order wings. The wings here are definitely the best in the area. They even have beer and wine and lots of TVs with various sports so you can watch games while you’re there. Another bonus is that they are locally owned. Great to be able to support local businesses! We’ll be back soon!

This place is a gift to EC. The cheese-stake with fried onions, lettuce and mayo was amazing. They were quick and the food was amazing. EC needs to support this awesome, locally owned business. Shop small!

Ordered 8 lbs. of shrimp salad for a party. The owner accommodated my need for an early pick-up, and he told me it came to a little less and only charged me for 7 lbs. I appreciate the honesty and the courtesy and the shrimp salad was delicious! Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.

Great food and amazing owner! Went in for a cheesesteak and fries. Way better cheesesteak than Roma’s nearby and the fries here are delicious!

Upon further reflection, my initial review of Beef Brothers had an unnecessarily negative tone. I should never review a new restaurant after having a bad day, because these guys are obviously trying to establish themselves in a new location and constructive reviews are what they deserve, not snark. So here is my «take-a-deep-breath-and-count-to-ten-before-you-write-it» review: Pros: Reasonable prices, personable service, burger was tasty, fries are good(they are shoestring but have that«down-the-ocean» flavor we all love), corned beef on the Reuben had excellent flavor. The wrap and lettuce for the chicken salad wrap were fresh. Place is clean, although we did take-out rather than dine-in. Cons: Hardly any kraut on the Reuben! I’m a kraut guy so that was a big disappointment. I’m sure they would have put more on if they knew. Chicken salad is different than we are used to, it has very little mayo and doesn’t have the usual add-ins we associate with chicken salad(relish, onion, celery etc.) so if you like the add-ins have them add the condiments and mayo to the sandwich before they wrap it. A few stumbles, but overall they were OK, and they seem more than willing to keep their customers satisfied and work with them. Good luck making it here in Ellicott City, Beef Brothers.

My family has been here multiple times and we all really enjoy it. I ordered the beef brother sandwich and it was great. My mom was saying how fresh the salads are, but I don’t eat salads so what do I know. There’s good prices(since my friends and I can afford it), good food, and good customer service.

This was our first visit and the food was great! We ordered a variety of items including a cheesesteak, burger, chicken wrap and Powerhouse wrap and all were good. We especially liked the tasty fries! Will definitely go back…

I have gotten lunch from here twice once delivered and once in the restaurant both times the food was really good but when it was delivered, the roast beef sandwich was kind of falling apart and the bread seemed too thin to support the amount of meat the put on it. Still a good sandwich but I wish it had belt together. In the restaurant, I got a turkey wrap with fries and both came out fast and I could tell the fries were fresh. The wrap was packed tightly and didn’t fall apart. I felt the problem with the sandwich was the delivery but I can’t complain too much because Beef Brothers always has coupons for free delivery and discounts. A good spot for a quick lunch or dinner with okay prices that become good deals with coupons.

Honestly, the food here is passable. It’s not stellar but at the same time, it’s not so bad that you’d send it back. I got the beef brother sandwich — I’m assuming it’s their signature dish since it’s named after them and it was pretty bland. On the other hand, the fresh cut fries were too heavily salted to the point that I could only eat a few of them. If they seasoned their fries less and their meat more, the place would probably be pretty good.

First off, how can you be from Baltimore and not offer recycling for bottles/cans? Have these people not seen John Waters’ Serial Mom? Do they not realize they are now in Howard County – we recycle here. Second, the food was just okay, and by just okay I mean edible and the preparation and serving areas were clean. I read in the paper about this amazing hot dog they have – only they don’t have it. So, I tried their signature beef brisket sandwich. The roll was gross, sort of stale and fell all apart. The beef was like thicker cut Arby’s style beef, as in – not really real. The color was odd, the texture is off, it’s chewy with binders and nasty. They offer a choice of coleslaw or potato salad. I chose the coleslaw – right out of a huge tub, disgustingly over thick mayo and a gross sour taste. My other half had a meatball sub, it was good, but how hard is that to screw up? The restaurant was clean and the décor nice, but it just felt like a chain. The counter was run by a bunch of kids who were presentable and efficient, but had zero personality and no pride of workmanship. We were so disappointed, we had read/heard great things about this place and over all just kind it’s of «meh».

I love this place! The food is pretty good and a good portion. I love the egg salad on rye. They deliver, which is convenient for me when I just don’t feel like going out. I tried the burger and fries and wasn’t a huge fan(there’s a lot of burger places around here to compete with), but their regular sandwiches are very good. The delivery staff are very friendly.

Great sandwiches but better pizza! I was very surprised how good this pizza is. We have a lot of options, but Beef Brothers will be our«go to» place. Fresh ingredients, very good crust, and a generous amount of sauce.

I had the Reuben and it melted in my mouth! The fries were nice and fresh. The sell beer and wine which is always a plus! The staff is friendly and the food came quickly.

This place is a solid meh. Nothing was bad but nothing sartorial either. I had a cheesesteak that was fine but not exciting in any way. My boyfriend had the«brisket burger» which was also fine but there was no hint of anything resembling brisket. The fries were the best thing we had, thin and crispy, but not worth going back for. The service was fine and the staff was friendly. With the huge variety of options in the immediate area, Beef Brothers just doesn’t do anything to distinguish itself.

Got one of their specialty sandwiches the beef brisket and it was not good. Meat was cold, sandwich was pretty dry and bread was old. It came with coleslaw that had a off taste to it and had way too much mayo in it. Only thing worth eating was the fries.

Awesome. Finally a good deli in EC. Proper Baltimore recipes for shrimp salad and MD crab. Fries are great too. All of the sandwich salads have little mayo and tons of flavor. Chicken breast perfectly cooked. Highly recommend. And they deliver! Will be trying that next.

Great food! Excellent staff! They also deliver. Even to some places no one else will, which is great in this area. They have amazing pizza and the best chicken parmigiana. A great locally owned shop displaying Maryland pride. The Maryland Wall showing great history in local sports is worth the trip, the food and service is a bonus. I haven’t even gotten to the fact they serve beer now as well. Stop in and get some genuine old bay wings and a natty boh.

I love this place and am excited it is here in EC. We need a good deli. Better quality food than fast food, but not a sit down and spend a hundred bucks to feed the family either. I saw one person’s review which said the subs/sandwiches didn’t have enough meat. I think they are sized really well. The bread is awesome and the flavor is excellent. They have an option for half pounder for your sandwiches(for the big eater). I like that because I don’t want to pay a larger price for more meat when I wouldn’t eat it anyways. If you need lots of food to fill you up, try the half pounder or request double meat on your sub. They offer that which is awesome for the big eater. Their matzo ball soup is my favorite and I love the Reuben. It is so nice to be able to get something other than a burger or a sub, fast and close by. Lastly, the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. It’s not bare and cold. It’s welcoming and easy going. I highly recommend this place!

This place just opened a few weeks ago on Rt. 40. I have been their twice. The first time I had a reuben sandwich and the second a cheesesteak sub($ 8 and $ 7.50). For an additional $ 3, you can get a drink and fry combo. Let me just say that I left both times still feeling hungry. I cannot say the same for any of the other local sub shops, delis, or competitors. The reuben was what I would call«understuffed» and the sub was much smaller than typical. The fries are good… fresh cut thin and tasty. The sandwiches were tasty too but you just can’t help thinking you got cheated. This is Boar’s head deli meat. Yes, good quality, but I can get that at Harris Teeter. I guess I was hoping for a more authentic deli, meat cooked on site, with overstuffed sandwiches? This place is not that and just didn’t meet my expectations.

Decided to try lunch here today instead of across the street. Ordered the chicken cheese steak combo, fries was good alone but even better w/Vin & ktchp. The sub was clean; meat to bread ratio, bread toasted nicely but u may want a lil more lettuce. My only downside was I was too full to try the slice of pizza, but there’s always next time. Lunch traffic was steady and the food came out within that 5 — 10min window.

Decent first visit — we got take out last night. The shoestring boardwalk style French fries were definitely the stand out. 5 stars for those! The Reuben was a winner too. Cheese pizza slice was decent & it’s convenient that they sell by the slice. My shrimp salad wrap had great flavor, a good amount of old bay, but they forgot my lettuce and the portion was very small it left me still hungry. The prices were great and the food tasted pretty good, but the portion sizes were nothing like the photos on their web site, which I felt was misleading. I wish I would’ve snapped a picture of my wrap, it was sad! Anyways, now I know what size to expect for the future. Looking forward to trying them again and updating this review. Overall, a great addition to the area.

I used to go to Beef Brothers in Baltimore during the work week! I’ve been craving my build your own salad with the most delicious grilled chicken since the spring! Once I found out they were open in Ellicott City I got here as quickly as I could. The food tastes just as great as before but now the atmosphere is even better! The perfect place to chill out and watch a game on one of the many TVs. You could also drop by for a quick meal to take home after work. Can’t wait to come back!

Been waiting for this place to open for months! Until now there have been no good delis in Ellicott City. Went today for lunch with my daughter and granddaughters. I had the Brothers Brisket, my daughter had a corned beef sandwich and the girls had chicken fingers and fries. Everyone was happy with their lunch. My brisket sandwich had some pretty good brisket with horseradish sauce and onion(wish it had been more — you can get ½ pound for about $ 3 more). Neither the horseradish sauce nor the onion overpowered the brisket and made for a nice change from barbecue sauce. The only downside so far is the size of the place. Maybe 10 barrel tables for four or five and one large table for 8 or so. I’m afraid it will be hard to find seating when more folks learn it’s finally open! Will be going back tonight with my wife to continue working through the menu while we can.

Well they are finally open! I don’t have too much to base this review on. I went in– it’s a cute place with photographic memorabilia on the wall and barrel tables. They have about 10 tables, if I had to guess. This is probably more of a «get it to go» type place. It’s a subs, ocean fries, Reuben’s, NY pizza kind of joint. They do however have a make your own salad form! Apparently they keep it on file, to save you time! They do deliver! I can see this place slammed on game days! Perfect for that group of teenagers needing a fill up after a game. Well my Rueben was good! It had grill marks and was served hot! Sorry this was the only item I ordered for now. I will be back! Just happy Ellicott City has a new place!
I went for carry out the other night. I got the corned beef ½ pound sandwich. It was very good. I also got a small matzah ball soup. The soup was ok but worth the money. They also did not give me my pickle that was supposed to come with the sandwich…
