Mullinix’s Auto Body Frame & Paint

I had work done on my car there back in 2011. I’m writing a late review now, because I need work done to my car again and I will not be going back to Mullinix. Overall they were friendly enough but I found the work to be sub-​par. My brand new honda was only 3 months old and I needed the right rear quater pannel replaced and rear wheel replaced/​re-​aligned. Since my car was so new I hoped it would look just like new again when it was finished. Well it didn’t. It looked about 90−95% new. At first glacé it looked great, but when you got up close there were faint but noticable paint drip marks on the final coat of paint around the edges. They were only noticable up close (about a foot away) but they were there. Also there were tiny air bubles in other parts of the paint. So small that we are talking like the size of a pin head, but STILL if you are paying for a job you expect it to look perfect, right? So I had to bring my car back twice for them to try to fix these imperfections and they never got it perfect. It got to the point where it looks about 95−96% perfect but I know if I know where to look, the imperfections are still there. BTW, this was a State Farm certified body shop, so take my advice, DON’T USE A SHOP THAT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY RECOMMENDS! There is a reason they recommend them and it’s not cause they’re the best, lol. So in summary, it wasn’t the worst experience ever, but if you are looking for perfection, look elswhere. I am, from now on.

When I needed auto body work a few weeks back I was lucky enough to find this shop. After calling around to several competitors I found this shop to be as good as it gets. They were friendly from the initial phone call (when they hadn’t even won my business but answered all of my questions) to when I pulled my shiny and repaired car out of their lot. Their work is superb and their customer service is unparallelled. I would recommend them to everyone!
