The best Chinese food I’ve found in Maryland gives it four stars, although I’m probably grading on a curve based on a major lack of good Chinese food in this area.

This is a decent, but far from outstanding, Chinese take out place. It’s clean, reasonably priced, and the food is pretty good. I don’t recommend the wanton soup, but the Double Delight is worthwhile for anyone who likes Kung Pao. The staff is friendly and there are a couple tables in the back, for anyone who feels like eating in the store. While I was here, they had on some college baseball. I listened as a steady stream of locals called in their regular orders, then saw them pick them up. Nothing wrong with the place, but also not worth a detour.

We just found our new favorite Chinese restaurant in Ellicott City. They are a little bit pricey for a carry out place, but the quantity and quality of the food is def worth it. This will be our new go-to place for Chinese food.

Best Chinese food in Elliott city. It’s take out only, but I normally order take out anyway. Food quality is better than Asean Bistro and East Moon in Columbia along with the unforgettable place next to Giant and Home Depot. Seems to be family owned and the owner is extremely friendly. I hesitated to write a review as it starts to get busy Friday or Saturday night and I wanted to keep this gem to myself. However, good places with good prices need recognition.

This is the best Chinese food in Ellicott City. Hands down! Food is so fresh and flavorful, the portions are huge, and they are very reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly, I am always greeted kindly! I highly recommend this place!

Lone dissenter, I guess, everybody seems to give this place lots of stars and good reviews. I’ve been here twice now, and not at all satisfied with the food. The only reason we went back was that we forgot it was a place we had been to before; we didn’t like it the first time either. They are very skimpy on meat. I ordered Szechuan Beef, and it was about 75% onions and peppers, and a tiny little bit of beef at the bottom. Really lame. On top of that, the flavor wasn’t really that good either. Fried rice doesn’t taste right. My wife ordered General Tso’s Chicken, and she said it was very bland, not enough flavor, not enough salt. Egg Drop Soup was all right, but not really good, in fact it was a little too thick for our taste. Check out the pictures of the lame beef to vegetable ratio. Basically, like a lot of people, I LOVE Chinese type food, and it’s not that hard I think to make it taste good. This place fails. Nice people though. The actual place itself is very small, mostly set up for takeout. I would skip it because the bottom line is that food is not good.

This is our favorite Chinese place to eat. The owners are super nice and very friendly. We have never got anything from there that was not good. Lots of food for the price and always great tasting. For the first time ever I am willing to try new foods. I love that they have a packet there explaining what the different items are. That is how I found my new favorite(sha cha chicken). I would have never tried it if I could not read about to find out what was in. Thank you China Taste for giving us more bang for our money.

This is a first, I have never felt compelled to write a review of a take out Chinese place until now. China Taste is simply awesome. The egg rolls are possibly the best I have ever had, wonton soup is perfect… not too salty, nor is it bland. My favorite is General Tso’s Chicken — I request all white meat and the hot oil(the stuff with the peppers in it) on the side. They call is hot sauce, but don’t worry. it’s the oil. I get the large and literally can eat 3 meals out of it! I love the fact they add broccoli with it as it breaks up the fried guilt feelings, lol!

I think one of the best Chinese take out places I’ve been too. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was high quality and delicious! Wish I lived closer to this location.

The best. Try the crab rangoons!(Crab-meat cream cheese fried wontons, on the menu). The food is delicious(my personal go-to is Shrimp Chow Mein) and pretty fast– Not McDonald’s fast, but why would you want to compare the two anyways? China Taste would still win. I need to learn the cashier’s name– I assume she’s the owner because she’s literally always there and she’s given us free soda before. She is SO nice and helpful and she knows my order as soon as I walk in. China Taste over Yama’s Asian Fusion all day, every day.

FANTASTIC! Every Chinese food place I have been to up here has been terrible and the rice in particular has been dry and tasteless. This place is different. The service was quick(took 10 min for my take out to be ready) and the rice is moist and flavorful and they put a TON of chicken in my fried rice. The staff was also friendly and the place seemed pretty clean. I highly recommend this place.

This is my new go to Chinese take out when I’m in the area. Waay better than fast wok(both in service and quality of food). The lady at the front is very nice and will remember the subtleties in your personality. They also have Thai food here too.

I love China taste! The food is amazing! I have had issues with other Chinese places in the area with finding hair in food or inconsistencies etc. This one is very clean the people are very friendly and I’ve like everything I’ve tried so far! Only complaint is the food is a little pricey but it is well worth it!

China Taste has a GREAT lunch special. It costs about $ 7 per meal. My favorite is the general tso’s chicken(they also add broccoli), white rice, with hot and spicy soup(free with the lunch special). What a deal! The owners of the restaurant do all of the cooking, and it never disappoints! The only downside of China Taste is that the interior of the store is not designed for eating in the store. There are tables and chairs inside, but it is designed for«to go» orders.

Just had my first meal from China Taste and it didn’t disappoint. In the past, I have had a problem with inconsistent Chinese food in the area, and frankly some of the other Ellicott City Chinese takeout restaurant reviews were pretty scary. Especially considering I have eaten at most of the places reviewed. I’m happy to report China Taste was very clean, quick, and the ingredients were of high quality and fresh. I got the General Tso’s chicken, which included steamed broccoli, and my wife had the Shrimp Mei Fun. Both were excellent. I would say my General Tso’s chicken could have been more spicy, but that’s my personal taste. I will definitely return for more!

Point blank period… Great food! Went there for the first time last night. I gave them 4 stars because they messed up my order and there was a long wait for them to correct it, but they gave me a free soup in exchange for the wait. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young for my mother and drunken noodle for myself and egg rolls. I thought it was a bit pricey for takeout but when I lifted my bags to leave they were HEAVY! Got home and opened the bags… enormous portions! Will have enough until Monday. And delicious, flavorful and on point! Will definitely be going back. Just hope the wait isnt long. *when I called to place my order, they told me it would be 30 to 40 minutes. It took about 40 mins and then with the error, it took a total of about an hour. Was a bit frustrated but the lady who works there and seems to manage the place was so nice, I couldn’t really be too upset! Still I hope thats not the norm because I plan to become a regular customer!
