When I was stranded on I-​90 west of Ellensburg, Dean’s Towing came to my rescue. Service was fast, efficient and friendly! Dean“s got me off the side of the road and helped me find a repair shop I could trust. I highly recommend Dean’s Towing!

Dean came through in the clutch for my dad who ran into car trouble in Ellensburg in route back to Seattle. Dean was professional, showed up in no time, resolved a troubled situation, and was a great guy.

I had locked my keys in my car and was really stressed out since I was missing a class and my funds were limited. I called Dean’s simply for a price estimate and after several minutes they told me that Dean was on his way… this would have been fabulous if it was what I had asked for! I had to remind them that I had only called for a price estimate. After some haggling they told me the price to which I let them know that I could not afford, as I was about to hang up, they told me that some insurance companies cover the service, I had to remind them once again that my wallet with all of that information was in the car; to this I got an extremely rude response, «well I can’t send someone out there unless I KNOW we’re getting paid!»…I never asked them for anything more than a price estimate! I asked for a place that may offer a better price to which they scoffed and replied «we’re the cheapest in town.» Once I got the finances in order, I made sure that they were NOT the ones I called… rude, rude, rude!

I locked my keys in my car so I called my insurance company to activate my emergency roadside assistance. Dean’s Automotive came to my rescue, driving all the way from Ellensburg to Yakima, arriving a few minutes earlier than the ETA I was given. Dean was very kind, speedy and professional and my keys were out in less than 5 minutes! Thank you Dean!

I sure hope I just caught these folks on a bad day cause when I went to return my uhaul they were not there for the posted hours but showed up because they saw me parked there while on their way to breakfast. not a big deal so far but when the gal checks the gas gauge they tried to charge me for not having enough gas but I knew there was enough because I just filled it over the ⁵⁄₈ mark required, When he TD me that it was only ⁹⁄₁₆ I asked him to show me the gauge and why he felt that was the case. He acted rudely and VERY put out then he began to explain condescendingly to me how the four hash marks of a fuel gauge are ¼, ½, 5/​8, and full. To this I responded that the one he called ⁵⁄₈ was actually ¾ and therefore it was filled to the required amount. He then acted quite rudely never actually admitting this was the case but just jumped out of the vehicle and slammed the door and said «Fine!». he then got in his vehicle after criticizing me use of the vehicle that was approved by the pickup site and left in his truck after locking the establishment up. Again during posted business hours. I was offended and flabbergasted all at once. I later that day got a bill for going over the allowed miles when I made no detours and can’t see how this is the case but did not take a photo of the odometer so have no proof. It was only 11 bucks so who cares but I wondered it it was a legit is all. Anyway, good luck with this one.

Amazing service. Fast, honest, and affordable service. Darrell saved the day when I overheated on I-​90. He had me in and out in 90 minutes with a brand new radiator. Great job guys. I will highly recommend you.

Just rented a uhaul from Dean’s Towing for the second time and once again had an excellent experience! The woman at the front desk made sure I got the maximum amount of time for my money and was incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely returning here for our next move.

Had problems with a UHaul trailer I was towing and needed to switch it out for one of those U-​pack boxes. They didn’t have any, but called around and found one for me and reserved it. Great service (not like they made any $ from this) and helped me out in a time of need.

On our way to Seattle, our car started acting funky. We stopped in Ellensburg, and the truck stop recommended Dean’s Towing and Auto Service. He fixed our alternator in less than two hours, was extremely friendly, and I don’t feel he overcharged us. He was very friendly, nice, and there was just a «good feeling» about him. Our car has worked perfectly since, and I’d recommend them to a friend.

Dean and his crew are amazing! They fix almost anything that breaks down and do so with real solid expertise. They’re honest, trustworthy, straightforward, and they do what they can to save the customer time and money! Dean is on call approximately 360 days/​year and has over 30 years of experience in towing and accident recovery. I’ve personally seen him pull a vehicle that was completely submerged out of the Columbia river!!! You know that if you come to this shop, you will get a straight deal and no bull. Also, you can rent a UHaul, buy moving boxes and materials, or listen to stories from all of the adventures that Dean and Connie have had over the years! Awesome people. Awesome shop.
And, if you’re lucky with timing, their son will get you a nice cold glass of water while you wait!

My truck broke down Friday morning on our way hunting, The only possitive thing I have to say about Deans Towning was that they were friendly. I was charged $ 500.00 for nothing, they could not find the problem and then they started replacing parts. Overall I have to say that the experince was what you would picture from a small town rip off. when When I could not afford to give them a blank check to keep replacing parts I arranged to have my vehicle towed back home buy a family member. When he showed up with a tow dolly he accused us of stealing the equipment from uhaul. Like i said a small town scam. You would better off driving down the road to the car dealership and buy a new car.
1) No parking available. No matter where you park your in the way
2) The machanic is slow as malassas
3) Accuse your customers of stealing
4) They charge $ 80.00 for a engin analize, even though they didn’t find a thing.

Most of the over 97,000 miles on my car have been accumulated driving between Seattle and Walla Walla. It’s 275 miles each way – 550 round trip. I often make the round trip in a day when I go to pick up a niece or nephew for vacations. I drive a 2000 VW Golf. It’s the ideal kid/​stuff/​dog carrying vehicle and it has been very good to me and the extended family.
As you could guess from the fact that this is a review of a towing service, the car is starting to show some wear. When it overheated outside of Ellensburg, Dean came to the rescue. (I forgot to write down the name of the taxi company that also came to the rescue – my bad.)
Dean himself showed up to tow my car, after his wife answered my plaintive call. He suggested that I bring the car to his shop instead of the $ 800 tow to take it home to Seattle. I was dubious that a small-​town shop would be able to get parts for a VW and very worried that I wouldn’t be able to pick up my car for weeks.
Dean & his crew know their stuff. Turns out lots of people break down in Ellensburg, so they have lots of experience working on every possible problem in every possible make & model.
They fixed the water pump, timing belt, and thermostat in 2 days. I didn’t need to take the shuttle Dean suggested ($ 30 from Seattle to Ellensburg!) but it’s handy to know it exists.
If you’re in Ellensburg, call Dean’s Towing for emergencies-​. You can also drive over to Dean’s Auto Service when you notice something wonky with your car. They’re right across the street from the Starbucks on Canyon Road (main rest area strip off the freeway). Towing is available 24 hours, the shop is open M-​F 8 – 5.
