I give it 2 ½ stars. Last time i had a Fatburger was at the original in L.A., 28yrs ago. I did’nt expect anything close to that, but i had to find out. The biggest hurdle in franchises is quality control. The burger was’nt small, felt like 7−8oz. Lacking seasoning, but not dry considering over cooking. It was better then most fast burgers at under $ 6. It just wasn’t good enough to return.

The medium fat burger is soooo unhealthy for you but it was pretty delicious. I also ordered the chili cheese fries which were okay. I wish the cheese on top was a little more melted but they still tasted good. Total for both came out to $ 12 which is a little steep for how much I ordered. Either way I was satisfied and probably would have had a heart attack if I ordered a bigger burger.

Handled my gluten and dairy allergies like a champ, and the burger was great, too! I’ve been here several times, and never had a problem. Jada is great and she always makes sure the kitchen knows about my allergies.

Always herd about the legendary Fat burger so I gave it a try. Toasted bun, home made patty many options for construction of your burger. A little more price but over all a great burger. Moist, tender, delicious. My rating is more then generous besides the very loud singing of an employee who could not sing nor carry a tune decided to cerenade the diners. Very disappointing and disturbing. Really! I will come back again, for the food only.

Great selections. Had a little wait but they cook fresh to serve and there was a line. Had the special mushroom swiss. I found it greasy and regretted choosing that. Daughter had hot dog with bacon on top. No fries. Drink. They charged $ 8. That seemed high Other one had turkey burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fries were hot. Ketchup was empty and stayed empty until we were nearly done. Personally, don’t enjoy fries as much without them. Very busy the whole time. Nice to see. Service business like. Average burger shop. Lots of competition around. One other note. The cashier seemed like the manager. Good at organizing and expediting but she is jumping from the cash register to handling the food without gloves or washing her hands. Now I see her even flipping burgers. I sincerely hope I missed seeing her use sanitizer. We won’t die of course. Nope, I just watched real closely again.

I’m giving this place a 3-star. Years ago I would’ve given it a 5. When it first opened and Orlando Brown(R.I.P.) was involved you could see the place was run by loving people, family people who wanted the best for their customers, employees and the overall being of the store. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, the cashier yelling out«Baby Fat!!» added to the fun and experience. But ever since Orlando passed, whoever is in charge now does not seem to care about the Fatburger that I used to think was so great. Now the restaurant isn’t very clean, isn’t very decorative, the walls are blank white walls(previously football memorabilia used to hang on the walls), I don’t think I’ve seen the Juke Box on since new management has taken control, and the TV is hardly ever on(it used to play ESPN and sports). The place looks like a dump. The cashiers and most of the employees barely speak any English at all, I mean I guess that’s not too important when all I need to do is order a burger… but you can tell the employees don’t seem as personally invested as when Orlando had his family involved running the place. When places like Five Guys, Bobby’s Burger Palace, SMASHBurger, etc exist I don’t know how much longer this place can stay around, and that’s a shame because I really liked Fatburger. The food is still pretty good even if it is greasy… but it’s called Fatburger for a reason! They need to Make Fatburger Great Again!

I was not please with this place at all. Thr service was terrible, a ten minute wait for two burgers with no other orders in sight. The cashier acted so apathetic, it felt like WE were wasting HER time by being customers at her registers. The cashier also ruined my order I specifically said no mayo or mustard, somehow it was still on my burger. The fries were hard as all hell. In conclusion I wouldn’t go again or recommend a friend.

Was just in this fatburger for the first time, and was not impressed with the look of the kitchen. Was even less impressed when I stood in front of the register for over two minutes without anyone saying a word to me. I guess selling $ 50 bucks worth of food was not worth a hello and an «I’ll be right with you.» Not a problem, plenty of other good places to get a burger nearby, and we will patronize them instead.

Super Disappointing. This chain is terrible and not worth anyone’s time. It is basically an overpriced Burger King. I have gone here two or three times expecting it to get better, the food did not get better. Each reliably mediocre experience appears representative of the quality of food.

I love burger joints… But this one is just meh, especially for the price. I think it’s definitely over priced for the quality. I got a kids burger(added cheese and chili to it) and it was 10 $. The burger was good, not amazing. It also was a lot smaller than the bun. The chili was good, but kind of greasy… And the skinny fries were nothing special. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

Awful first time ordering. We ordered online. They didn’t know how to make a skinny fatburger, which is on their menu. Ingredients were missing on a all 5 burgers we ordered. Meat was dried out completely. Unlikely to go back. Staff was cluless. Management needs to train them on their menus. One star for the skinny salted fried. Not bad.

Simple and good ingredients. Fresh meat patty that’s not overly huge or Greasy. Soft bun. Fresh tomato Lettuce and onions-all the time. Stringy fries that remind me of McDonald’s size fries but less greasy and more crisp. Bugers n fries taste best w the vanilla milkshake. I’ve been here a lot, service is always timely accurate and staff polite. This is my go to burger spot in Columbia.

I’ve been here twice and I like it, a lot. The burgers are pricey but you get what you pay for. What I like most is that you can select from 5 sizes, depending on how hungry you are, and the burgers aren’t too greasy like 5 Guys. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

I love Fatburger! Big thick patties. And lots of toppings offered. I get the Fat fries(Essentially steak fries) but they have«Skinny»(regular) fries too. And how can you not love a place that is sung about in a Beastie Boys song?

I have wanted to come here for quite a while. Every time I drive by I always make a mental note to check it out. I was pretty curious! I mean, this is the only Fatburger location in Maryland. The next closest location I think is Atlantic City. And it’s pretty dang popular in CA. Even the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills love them a good fatburger.(Kyle Richards always has them at her annual«white party». I am so sad that I know this.) Since the real housewives basically never eat, let alone a cheeseburger, I had to know what all the rage was about. So I dragged my fiancé there last night, and he warned me that he thought I was going to be disappointed. And… ugh, he was right. The burgers are made to order, so everything is really fresh, which is great. They also have I think 5 different sizes of burgers that you can have, so it’s nice to order in alignment with how hungry you are. I ordered a large burger(which is the middle size) and it was pretty big. I think they run on the big side, so proceed with caution. Everything about the burger was pretty standard, but it was tasty. It was basically like a step up from Five Guys — no frills, made to order burgers. As a side you can choose between skinny fries, fat fries or onion rings. We both got skinny fries, and both commented on how lackluster they were. They tasted like frozen fries that they thawed out in a deep fryer. If I were to go back I would probably skip the fries altogether because I was so unimpressed. Also, the 2 large fatburgers, 2 skinny fries and 2 drinks came out to $ 25. I know it’s fresh and made to order, but that’s the equivalent of your standard chain restaurant where you have a waiter and whatnot. Then my fiancé ordered a milkshake. They were promoting some type of chocolate banana shake that sounded really good. So he went to order that… but they were out of banana. So he ordered a cookies and cream milkshake instead. And then he’s waiting. 10 minutes go by… no shake. Then the cashier looks over at us and screams, «Oops! Milkshake!» So he paid and then was forgotten about. When he got the shake it was so thick that you couldn’t drink it out of a straw. He had to wait for it to melt before he could drink it. Soooo I guess milkshakes aren’t their specialty, huh? The space I think is meant to look like a 50’s diner. But they really stopped short of fully decorating the place. Most of the walls were bare and just painted turquoise. In the section where we sat there was one haphazardly hung Ravens jersey. The décor is confused. What is it supposed to be? I think the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are probably just hungry, because this place was not all it was cracked up to be.(At least this location, anyway.) If you want a burger, you’re much better off going to Red Robin.

I was in the area shopping and got hungry. Did I make the right choice? Ehh… The burger was too salty, but the fries were pretty good. For a meal that was almost 1000 calories, I should have chosen better. It will not be my go-to burger spot.

With all of the gourmet burger places opening up, don’t forget about Fatburger. It is in the top 3 if not the best burger in the area. Fresh and well-cooked ground beef and not too greasy. I always visited Fatburger when in Vegas, now we’re lucky to have it here. The fries(skinny or fat) are decent, but nothing too special. I remember eating here when Orlando Brown owned it years ago. He came in, cooked himself a burger, then sat down. My cousin and I had a nice conversation with him about the Ravens. He was an enormous man — we’ll never forget you Zeus.

Columbia has its fair share of burger places, so seeing another in business where competitors are not shy enticed me to give this place a try. I decided to go all out and ordered the biggest burger they had, a massive 1.5lbs burger, and a cookies & cream milkshake. To my surprise, the burger had 3 half-pound patties rather a single huge one. This was a bit disappointing because I was excited to see one huge patty. Anyways, the burger itself was nothing spectacular. In fact, it was kind of dry and a bit too greasy for my taste… Seems like contradicting ideas but if I had to explain it tasted like the meat was left out to dry then cooked in grease to compensate for the dryness. I asked for more bbq sauce to enhance, or rather«create», the flavor. The milkshake, on the other hand, was quite delicious, and the restaurant has a nice retro atmosphere. But a burger place should be rated for their burger, and not so much for their other amenities. With other great burger places in the area, I wouldn’t necessarily come back here unless I was craving a milkshake or dying for a burger and Five Guys, The Burger Joint, Cheeburger Cheeburger, or Red Robin were all closed. But I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying this place at least once to see if their experience is different or hopefully better than mine.

I had the misfortune of wanting french fries when at Trader Joe’s(yes I suck. lord forgive me.) I was in a rush to return to work so I asked the cashier if the fries are made to order so I could save myself a few minutes rather than wait around for an impulse snack. «No.» Ok then, that means fries are ready? I mean, I was staring at empty fry baskets but I was thinking they stored them elsewhere so I went ahead and ordered. NOPE. Guy starts adding fries to the fryer. ughhhhhhhh. REALLY? And the«fat» fries are gross– I LOVE the thick steak cut fries when they’re made properly but they’re hard and flavorless. What a waste of calories, money, and time. Place was depressing. It was empty except for an older gentleman and a stoner couple.
