Love this place. 9 or 10 beers on tap. Meet great people and the owners are usually brewing and bar tending just about every time I go. It’s a must if you are in the area. Only micro in Elkins. Make sure to fill growlers or bring home a few 4 packs of 16 ounce cans. They are canning the IPA and the Porter.

Big Timber is a brewery off the beaten path in Elkins, West Virginia that really cares about it’s craft. The virgin rootbeer and beers are absolutely delicious — this is coming from a lukewarm beer consumer! Social media tells me they’ve just started a canning line so if you can’t make the trek out to West Virginia, be on the look out for their distribution. Full bodied flavors, excellent service and love in every pour!

If you are stopping by or traveling through this is a must stop. The owners are cool, the beer delicious, and the best is THEBEERISCHEAP. So proud to have a cool brewery like this in the state.

Seems like a nice brewery! I ended up showing up at this brewery on July 4th only to find out they were closed along with EVERY place else in town. Almost as if everyone got up and beat-feet. A quick check on Facebook and yes they were closed. The reason for 3 stars is due to the fact I’ve never been inside the place and don’t know when I’ll be able to return being that i live in Virginia Beach, VA. I did however get a chance to have two of the beers down the street at Gino’s pizza. They had the IPA and the Pale Ale. The IPA was very good and the Pale was like a nasty pilsner. I cant confirm the prices of their pints at $ 4.25 in the pictures but was SUPER surprised to find that the Gino’s Pizza place was undercutting Big Timbers beer prices by $ 1.00 and selling pints for $ 2.25! For a craft-beer thats a super-steal! Considering a normal pint goes for $ 5 – 6 outside of a brewery. **Overall it seems like a really nice brewery and I I’m hoping to visit again on my regular visits to Frost, WV. Cheers!!!

The beer is delicious. IPAs are frssh and hoppy. I’d recommend the seasonals: Lochlan IPA and Bourbon Porter. Ordering a flight is a good place to start if you haven’t been there before. The people are friendly. They also have a TV for sports fans. They also have nice tables for groups.

Went here this evening for a beer before going on to the Tournament of the Bands for Forest Festival. It took me a while to get a beer, the place was packed. Big Big Timber Pale Ale is worth waiting. It has a delicious round copper flavor that is satisfying and in the pocket. Glad to have this business in Elkins, WV.
