Countryside Classics, Elkhorn, WI, is a fairly new company but Jim Eslick is not new to the auto repair industry. Jim started early in life with a passion for repairing and modifying vehicles. While in high school he upgraded a 1967 Jeep CJ5 from the factory 4 cylinder engine to a V8. Jim earned an Associates Degree from Gateway Technical Collage. As his final exam he converted a 1978 gasoline powered Ford Pinto Wagon into a diesel powered vehicle. Someone else liked what was done and purchased this vehicle. After purchasing property on Hwy 11 and moving from working out of his Grandparents barn to running a very successful General Automotive Repair Shop for over 24 years. (Jim’s Repair) The outlet for his passion of modification showed it’s self in a frame off restoration of a 1957 Chevrolet 210.
Upgrades such as electronic fuel injection, front disc brakes, digital dash, power rack and pinion steering and A/C along with other modifications. In 2007 he sold Jim’s Repair to actively pursue his passion and opened Countryside Classics on the corner of State Road 11 & County Road F North-in between Delavan and Elkhorn. While Jim specializes in 55 – 57 Chevy’s he’ll repair, restore or modify all makes/models of classic vehicles. Jim can do all aspects (except paint-body and interior work as he has other sources for this work) of car repair from a simple oil change or system upgrade to a full frame off restoration…
