Amazing food, amazing drinks. We walk in and they remembered our drinks after our first visit. We are now regular customer. Love this place.

Hands down the best place in Elkhart! It has the hat trick of great beer selection, awesome food, & fun atmosphere. It is a must try.
4÷26÷16 back again! I feel this is the best of what Elkhart has to offer, and can easily compete with any restaurant anywhere.
5÷19÷16 and again! Pickle chips are what’s for pre-​dinner!

Second time back in a week, in town on business.
Tonight they had a live band
beer choices changed since last time which is awesome for variety.
Got the Soft Pretzels, crispy out side and soft inside (didn’t select a meal this time)
Atmosphere is cool laid back, pool table and few golf arcade style games.
Definitely a place to stop in at if in town.

Went in the late afternoon and had a chance to talk to the owner, as it happens. He’s a savvy guy and this place well reflects his vision.
The beer selection seems intelligent and should please most anyone. Unlike many «craft pubs,» all the beer is outsourced. I was happily surprised to see they had one tap dedicated to Old Style. I learned it replaced PBR. Yes, from PBR to Old Style. Love it.
The place filled rather quickly and the two hard-​working bartenders (no server) struggled to handle the rush. I should not have waited to order my burger. The kitchen could not handle it at all. My medium burger came back super well done and dry as a bone and my onion rings were cold. The patty was thick and the meat is definitely a cut above standard restaurant fare. The flame-​broiling made for a delicious flavor on the outside of the patty. The bacon I ordered as a topping was thick and had good flavor, but it was refrigerator cold. So… the ingredients are all there, but the kitchen has to do better when busy.
Without being asked, they took a percentage off the bill. They insisted.
If/​when I am back in Downtown Elkhart, I will be back. It’s a great spot to hang before/​after an event at the Lerner, which is just two blocks North. If you are a believer in supporting local, this place deserves your visit.

I was very disappointed in the service in this place tonight. We waited 20 minutes to get a drink and that was only because my husband got up and got it himself. The staff repeatedly said «I will be right with you» but still waited to be acknowledged. When we finally flagged down someone to take our order he was kinda rude. Needless to say we where unable to eat our dinner before we had to leave because we had tickets to an 8 o’clock show. Our dinner is sitting in the car getting cold. I have worked in this industry my whole life and there is no reason that it should have taken 2 hours to be served. Unacceptable!!! I’m not sure we will ever be back. At the rate this place is going you won’t be open much longer.

I always think of New Paradigm as my go to place. They have a great beer menu and great food. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Quite possibly the most perfect burger! My husband’s stuffed burger has ruined me for any restaurant burger so the bar is pretty high. I had the Spicy Goat Burger with hand cut fries & it was heavenly yum! Their own beer, brewed in house, was the perfect compliment! We’ll definitely be back!

This place was great. Bartender and server acted like we were old friends from the neighborhood, curating our custom beer experience, giving menu advice, bantering back and forth. Great vibe. We had a beer flight with some excellent and interesting choices. Great burger/​beer combo on Tuesday nights $ 12. I had the Hot Nanny Burger (with house made peanut butter and ghost pepper jelly). Warning – the ghost pepper is legit! When I was burning up at the collar, the serving staff went out of their way to concoct a heat diffusing lemonade to stop the tears! Everyone sprung into action to make the experience great. Also had the sweet potato tater tots on the side. All was YUMMO. My sister in law doesn’t like beer, yet we took her to a brew pub. But, our server went out of his way to go get her a Chardonnay. We played trivia and bonded with the other tables in the joint. It was good fun. Good vibe. Good food.

Why don’t I come here more often. Kit is the best. But the burger is a close second.

Stopped in for a beer and some food. I will come back again! Live an hour away and this place is worth the trip. Owner running the bar that features local beers with a nice choice from everywhere! He has a few of his own on tap. Food was great. House made poppers, pork nachos and ghost chicken sandwich hit the spot. Not sure what ghost pepper jam is but I want more!

Came in and had a great beer from 18^th street. Fantastic pulled pork nachos and great service from kit. I’m constantly reminded of why we come back.

Second time there, food was local and well prepared. The staff is down to earth and easy to talk to. If you’re in the area and want to support local and like locally sourced stuff it’s really good.

My husband and I love checking out local breweries and had New Paradigm on the list since they started brewing their own beers. We decided to make the quick drive over to Elkhart for a late lunch when we both happened to have a Friday afternoon off.
There only a handful of folks there when we walked in, but we were immediately greeted by the bartender who invited us to grab a seat. As we looked over the beer list, we were a little disappointed they only had two of their own beers. The upside is that they feature plenty of other local brews. My husband sampled theirs and I went with a Saugatuck Summer Wheat.
We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese to start. The pretzel sticks were perfectly cooked and the cheese was spreadable vs dipable. The cheese lacked any real beer flavor and was average compared to what we’ve had at other places.
My husband is always on a quest for the perfect burger and they have a great selection here. He did the Brandon’s Way with bleu cheese, beer onions and dijon thyme aioli. He ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. He upgraded to the hand cut fries and they were fresh and crisp. I stuck with the Old Standard with cheddar, lettuce, onions and bourbon aged pickles. I also ordered mine medium, but it was probably closer to medium rare in the middle — no complaints considering it’s hard to find a burger cooked less than well done! I had the house made chips which were perfectly crisp and seasoned.
The burgers range in price from $ 9 – 11 and are massive! The service was great and we will definitely be back.

Really good beer and burgers. The spicy goat was a great combination of flavors. I wish I could have more black pepper jam on everything. I would give it a 5 but service was a bit slow. To be fair there was 8 of us and two people working. All and all really enjoyed my meal.

Great food. Absolutely wonderful ghost pepper chicken sandwich. But I’ve never had good service here.
Honestly I would come back here more for the food, but I can’t say I’d come back for the beer. They have a great beer menu, but that’s all for naught when they’re out of everything.
Bottom line: come by for a beer and a sandwich, but don’t expect the beer you want because they might be out.
When is this place gonna be a brewery? I’d definitely come here more often, at least then when they ran out of a beer it’d be their own…

The atmosphere is super sad — maybe it gets better later at night, but at dinner time it seems mostly to be people milling about.
But — the food is yummy and they make their own root beer jelly, which is awesome.

Many things get better with time. Paradigm is one of them.
The first time I visited, there was no food to go with the phenomenal beer selection. The music was just a jukebox and there were no tables. Now there is a damn fine menu, live music, and tables. They have wine on the menu and will soon feature their own beers. I can’t wait till they have their own beers on the list!

I went to this place for craft beer because it was local and knew it before as Harrison landing. The crowd seemed old and stale. They had live music so that was a plus but old music. They had a large draft list to choose from but poor service. Though the list was large it was also confusing! They had a penciled in star or check mark or none at all to determine if they have a brew in house.
My second gripe with this place is they have no beers made in house. Does brewing just mean they have beer? I don’t get it.
There were also people coming in off the street begging for money. I was quite disappointed! I don’t see myself coming back

I have been here twice, last time last week. In between the two times, they jacked up their prices — 2 $ more, on some burgers and specials. Food is good though.
But two things have stayed the same: 1. amazing beer choices. Best and most varied tap list i know in elkhart and st joe counties.
2. In a largely empty place on a weekday, the only waitress was so occuppied with loudly talking to other customers, some of them apparently employees in their off time next to us at the bar, about hair extensions, drinking on the job and their sex life that she didnt once asked how our food was, if she could refill, etc. nothing. No smile either. This was the same both nights. The owner was there himself, and didn’t care.
Simply bad service, and a really weird atmosphere. Get a staff that is attentive and actually cares about this place as a restauarnt, not a hair salon, and I’ll be back.

I was very disappointed to learn that this brewery doesn’t have their own beer. From what I was told they have been open a year already but hope to serve small batches by August. Best of luck!
I went here to see a friends band. We got drinks at the bar but then sat at a table. When you sit at a table the waitress then wants to take over your tab. Totally fine. We asked when the kitchen closed and she said 10. Mentally notated to order before then. When it came to be 9:40 we tried to place an order. The same waitress then said the kitchen is closed. We looked shocked and she proceeded to say when there is a band the kitchen closes early. Ummm you
Knew there was a band when we asked initially when the kitchen closed. She just seemed very scattered brained or over whelmed because we were then told that tables need to order drinks from the bar. When it came time to close our tab she came back saying our card was declined. 20minutes later it wasn’t and their system was down. Waited longer and finally things were straightened out.
All in all my experience wasn’t the best. The beer I wanted to try they didn’t have. Got to try a tasty whiskey that was new to me so not a bad trade!
I think they weren’t expecting so many people to come out that night. And my review initially lost two stars from not having their own beer when they are called a brewery. I won’t go back on my own but if a band plays there again that I like I will go.
