At V. Beso Vineyard we are dedicated to producing fine New World wines using Old World methods of wine making. We specialize in French, Rhone-​style wines using European varietals that are hand-​crafted, small-​lot quality wines. Comprised of our estate grapes and those selectively sourced from the finest of vineyards, we create both single vineyard bottlings and red blends.

Guided by the ethos of simplicity, we believe in tradition and the role of terrior; we allow the vineyard to tell a story of a particular place and time. A miraculous wine is only achieved when the sun, the wind, the rain and temperature are all delivered in exact proportions. The methods we use include: hand-​picking grapes, chemical-​free, using gentler press and fermentation techniques, hand-​punching down the caps, gravity flow, unfiltered and aging our wines in French Oak barrels. Our winemaking philosophy is Old World in style and our wines flavor profiles are big, bold and fruity in contrast to their European counterparts given our New World terrior.

Great wines are as rare as great paintings or great music. Yet unlike a painting or music, great wines only exist for that transient moment in which the cork gets pulled. It is our hope to bring a bit of the Old World to the New and we raise a glass to all of the wonderful wines made here and all over the world that bring new joy and inspiration with every vintage!

History

Established in 2005.

It was in the spring of 2005 when our first planting of estate wines were established. Here at V. Beso Vineyard you will find a winery that hasn’t succumbed to commercialism, where tastings are still free, and where you’ll have intimate access to the wine making process and winemaker.
