Soooooooooo disappointed. I had a massage booked around 3 – 4 months out due to how they placed their priority of Groupon users. I called to confirm my appointment the day before, only to be told that they were under new management and wouldn’t be honoring the groupons anymore. WOW! It doesn’t seem like the new owners care, or have any better customer service, then the previous owners did. There are way too many spas out there to choose from, and this gal won’t be coming back!

Masseuse hurt my back. He talked half of the session about very inappropriate things made me feel uncomfortable and I’m pretty sure the whole point of a massage is to relax and not hear about life problems. Save your money go to a better place for a massage.
***The customer service with all the ladies doing hair was nice and they offered snacks and drinks but they should consider hiring someone better

I am a licensed cosmetologist myself and Sarah is the only person who I only let touch my hair. She is amazing with short hair and long hair, no matter what type of hair you have. Regardless if it’s ethnic hair to Asian straight hair. She is honestly the best and I promise you, once you see her you will never go anywhere else. I have been following Sarah for a long time and she’s awesome. Do yourself a favor and let her take care of you.

I needed a new stylist/​colorist in Elk Grove and checked out True Salon on Unilocal.I saw great reviews (with great pictures of her work) for Linda and decided to give her a call. I explained I wanted a new colorist to maintain my weave (highlights n lowlights). Her pricing was reasonable and she really listened and asked good follow up questions to ensure we are on the same page. I booked an appointment with my fingers crossed Linda would do a great job and be my new awesome colorist!
I went in today and Linda greeted me with a big smile, she was very nice and easy to chat with. We discussed my desired result (I wanted to kick up the blond % for spring) and I felt 100% confident she understood I wanted additional blond highlights versus wanting the existing blonde blonder. Off we went, doing my do! The time flew by with great convo. She offered to touch up my roots and also did a trim. I am super happy with the result and the price. My hair is blonder, while looking very soft and natural. My mister was very pleased when I walked in the door!
If you are looking for a new spot, try Linda at True Salon, you’ll be very happy you did!

Had an appointment scheduled three months out for a couples massage. True Salon and Spa called two days prior to our massage to inform us that they had a massage therapist out sick and one on vacation, so they would only be able to do one massage and they would have to reschedule the other. This is not the first time we have had issues with scheduling an appointment with this spa. True Salon and Spa is extremely small and the number of massage therapists is limited. The staff was unapologetic and had an attitude when we requested a refund. We will NEVER waste our time trying to book an appointment with this spa again! Very disappointed with our experience!

Karri is such a sweet person. Today I had a microdermabrasion with her and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it! I’ve had microdermabrasion done with other estheticians and haven’t enjoyed it nearly as much. She took her time and made me feel like I mattered. not rushed in that sense. My face feels amazing and the prices are good :) already scheduled my next appointment and very much looking forward to it!

I just had a HUGE disappointment! An hour and a half before our Groupon message that we have been waiting for since SEPTEMBER just was canceled because they can’t honor them anymore and told to call Groupon for a refund! How rude! First we had to book the appointment way the heck in the future. So I asked at the time if there was any chance of this and they said no but yet… here we are!

Went the Groupon route and didn’t read the reviews prior to the purchase, so I became very hesitant before going to my appointment!
Leaving pretty satisfied with some pros and cons.
PROS: First Nyra deserves 5 STARS. Great masseuse with a lot of experience. She was quite accommodating with hand pressure and making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. And the neck massage part will make you want the puuuurrrrr
The salon is quite nice and looks like a good place to get your hair done as well
CONS: Called in September to make this appointment, and the next available was today (mid-​January). 3 month wait.
I was told that for the groupon everything would be in the 60 minutes. Thought I purchased a 60 minute massage with a hand and foot sugar scrub. (About 1.5 hours?) but no, so I decided for the 60 minute massage and left my hands and feet sugarless!
Overall good experience, but I don’t think I would return for anther massage

I was looking forward to trying this place after purchasing a groupon however they were booked up for 6 months on account of advertising on groupon. I’m pretty sure they have separate staff that they intentionally book up to limit the amount of groupons they sell and have to honor. The lady had to look up appointments after looking for a separate book they had obviously for groupon customers. They obviously want the advertising without having to honor the groupons, if u ask me then they shouldn’t be even allowed to advertise with groupon. Eff this place ur better off going somewhere else in my opinion.
So Sharon responded and said that I was underwhelmed when I called out her business’ false advertising deals on Groupon. Like I said, they have a separate «6 month minimum» wait list they put the «Groupon customers» on that basically discourages their having to honor the Groupon deal they agreed on. I advised Groupon of this business’ shady practices and what they do to get around having to pay Groupon their commission for advertisement. Read other’s comments in regards to Groupon as well. Funny how Sharon wants to take this discussion «offline» to hide their shady business practices.

So I got my massage and it was pretty wonderful, however the wait was not even close to worth it
There are several Groupon spa packages, and to wait any longer than 2 months tops for a massage is absurd! That being said to wait 4 months because you got a good deal through Groupon. Isn’t worth it.
For what it’s worth NYRA was excellent and very nice and I have no complaints about the massage or its facilities of any kind. Just the business and their greediness to take people’s money… it should be clearly posted on the add 3 to 5 month minimum wait. Then I would not lay in so heavily… those are my suggestions to hopefully prevent realistic people from bashing you in reviews so hard. Atleast you’d be covering your own ass in a truthful upfront– non deceitful way. ;)

After reading a lot of bad reviews, I was hesitant to make a hair appointment. But after having my hair done by Jessica, I’m glad I gave this salon a try.
I went in with my heart set on lighter color for my hair but after Jessica told me my options and gave me some more information on the possible damage, I decided to just go with a darker brown color. My hair turned out great and I am happy with the results. Jessica colored and trimmed my hair and gave so much more life to it. She also conditioned it and gave me tips and product suggestions. She did a great job and I would definitely come back.
Give Jessica a call the next time you need a cut or color.

I used a groupon for a facial and it was amazing. It was hands down the best facial I have had. She was tentative and added a hand massage and neck massage. She also was not pushy on products! Definitely my new spot.

My friend bought a groupon deal for a full body deep tissue massage with a salt scrub for your feet. It was all heavenly.
First things first, the reception area. When you first walk in, you walk in on the side of the salon. There are chairs in the «lobby» area for you to rest your behind while you chat up with whomever is at reception or just walking by (which is exactly what we did because we are that friendly, or at least the company I was with is that friendly). The guy at reception was fabulous. He’s definitely a people person. He talked to us like normal people (although I’m not quite sure what normal is or if we even are normal people). He didn’t treat us like we were clients but like friends. He told us about his life and what he does during the time he’s not a massage therapist. He was interesting to listen to and talk with. He was very engaging. I think I would just come here just to talk to him. Um… wait. I do need massages so I’ll come here for massages and talk to him… it’ll definitely be a treat.
My massage… oh boy… let me just tell you, it felt like I was on another planet. I can barely describe how my massage was. I received attention to every part of my body that ails me. After all, I do have 4 boys I need to keep track of. They keep me on my toes all the time so of course everything hurts after awhile. An hour massage goes a long way. I received attention to my arms, hands, feet, legs, calves, thighs, neck, head, scalp… everything. Places I didn’t even know could hurt were massaged. It was devine. My massage therapist was very professional. He asked if the pressure was fine and if I wanted him to adjust it but it was perfect for me. Never be afraid to tell your massage therapist if the pressure is too soft or too hard. After all, you want to relax not be in pain. The room is quaint and everything the massage therapist needed is in the spot that’s easily accessible so that the «client» isn’t wasting their time waiting for the massage therapist to go and get the supplies. I was even treated to a hot stone massage. Now that was amazing. I highly recommend it.
The parking was easy, and there’s plenty. The staff were all friendly. Arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork and relax. They offer you cookies/​pastries/​goodies and water/​coffee/​tea. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. I’m not quite sure why there’s so many differing opinions about this place. It’s small so it’s not a full service spa. They get the job done and they know what they are doing. They aren’t rude. They are willing to answer any questions you may have. They actually listen to you and make you feel as if you had been friends for awhile. I didn’t feel awkward or out of place and normally I’m the shy one.
I would definitely come back for another massage with my same massage therapist or try a new one. My friends all seemed to enjoy their massages. They pretty much came out of the room with a look of nirvana… totally glossy eyed and in heaven.

Unfortunately things are not coming to a great start with this spa! I haven’t even gone into their building yet and already am saddened by the lack of customer service! I received a Groupon from my boyfriend in January and tried to book an appointment in April for my birthday but the earliest time available wasn’t until today (August 13^th) and they had to reschedule on me! I understand that someone might be out ill but why partner with Groupon if you’re unable to accommodate your clients? I also have called almost every week since April to see if they could squeeze me in if there were any cancellations but the lack of a receptionist makes that hard & when I called to confirm my appointment they could not find it! Hopefully I can update this review with an ounce of positive feedback later but until then if I could leave a negative star that’s where my rating would lay!
After reading all the negative comments left about this salon I am not surprised that they need to sell through Groupon and with that said I will be contacting Groupon with my review and I advise others to do the same!

Booked an appointment with Emma for the first time. I already had blonde w dark roots and I was looking to get an icy silver hair. She definitely made it happen! Go to Emma if you want your hair done right.

I decided to try this place out since it was highly recommend by a friend of mine, and I’m glad I did! I got my hair done by Linda who is amazing! Very friendly, sweet and i love her work!
I’m not the type of person to go in and get their hair colored at a salon but I decided to do something different which was an ombré baylage with rose gold. I was hesitant to try this look because I hear it’s expensive and my hair color was all over the place since my roots were growing and my hair was light brown and I had peek a boos. I went across Linda’s Instagram of all of her work and I was amazed and I loved my friends hair (done by Linda) so I felt pretty Comfortable coming here.
I wanted the top of my hair to be on the darker side and make the bottom half a rose gold color. Linda reassured me that the rose gold might not come out to how I want It since I would need to bleach my hair and I was totally OK with it because my hair doesn’t lift that much. After all of that hard work, I finally got to see my results and I was 100% happy! The rose gold was so close to the color that I wanted but I don’t blame Linda at all, I blame my hair! Lol you can see the pink tones on my old peek a boos and the rest of my hair was more of a brown pinkish color but I was so amazed of the outcome since Linda has never messed with this color before. My sisters normally hate when I go to the salon and get my hair done (especially if I go lighter) but they all loved it, yay! That means it’s a good sign lol
I came in a second time to get my hair toned and also a trim and everything went well.
I highly recommend Linda for any coloring or color corrections. She will do the trick!

I came in for a last minute hair cut with Josie and was very surprised by her! She did an amazing job on my hair. I had already cut it short but it was very grown out and dry on the ends. I asked for a lob — long bob cut. She was very a patient and did a phenomenal job on the cut. I was super happy.
She was great to talk to as well. Through the shampooing and cutting and styling we had a great conversation. I will definitely be making her my regular stylist. Also, she did an amazing job straightening my unruly, curly, frizzy hair too!

I made an appointment couple days ago with Linda. And to my surprise, she was open and I booked with her within 3 days. I came in Sunday afternoon, and was greeted by the owner whom was friendly. As I sat for couple minutes waiting for Linda to finish with her client, she greeted me kindly and told me she’ll be with me shortly.
Before we started my hair, Linda was awesome! She was friendly and she can spark a convo so it doesn’t get awkward and quiet while she works on my hair. Lol I love a hairdresser that can conversate with you. I told her how I wanted my hair specifically and she said she was able to do that for me. I wanted an ombré/​balayage and she timed everything perfectly.
3 hours later, and I was sooooooo satisfied with my hair! I love her work and it was perfect! It’s hard to find a hair stylist whom can achieve the look you want. If you’re looking for a blonde ombré or highlighted look, don’t wait and book with Linda! I promise you, you won’t be disappointed and her prices are reasonable compared to other places. Do it before she gets booked ;)

I came here wanting to go lighter and shorter for spring. Linda did an amazing job. I told her exactly what I wanted, from the color to the length and cut and she delivered. I came in with a long ombré and wanted to go blonde and shorter. I was amazed she was able to get my black/​dark brown hair the exact color I wanted, which is a dark ash blonde in one session and my hair is still healthy! It looks amazing and I love it.
Linda is great, she makes you feel comfortable and listens to what you want. She is very friendly and professional and she definitely knows what she’s doing. If you’re looking to color your hair or cut it, I highly recommend her!

I began using this company due to a Groupon Deal for massage. I have now been twice and have a 3^rd appointment scheduled with Jocelyn. The Groupon was for 60mts deep tissue with hand and foot sugar wrap. If you pre-​pay for your next massage you get the same groupon deal continuously or at least that has been my experience thus far.
The down side to this is that the groupon was for hand and foot sugar wrap and so far I have only received a foot sugar wrap. Looks like I am not the only client that has noticed this from this therapist.
Parking is good along the street or if you manage to not drive past their signage you can pull in and there is a larger lot all the way around back. Plenty of room!
The facility itself is really nice for a salon. The building is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. The wax/​massage rooms are all the way in the back and it is quite appealing to the eye, but very noisy when clients are tromping through and not being aware of their surroundings. Maybe put more signs up to be quiet in this area.
The massages are done on the same table/​stands that the waxings are done on. So there is a serious lack of versatility to raise/​lower, heat, and generally adjust. The therapists spend a lot of time on their tip-​toes due to the height of the table, especially for digging in with deep tissue massages.
I will probably keep coming back for the groupon rate, but once my price is increased, I’m finished. I have other tried-​and-​true locations that never forget any services, much more quiet and have adjustable massage tables.
