Established in 2013.

Sankofa Duafe Design Studio Conceptually was conceived 15 years ago, were I had the vision of becoming my own salon owner. I, combined my love of hair design, fashion design, and quest to seek truth, and that journey has forever changed my life. From that point I realized that with my creativity, and many talents I could combine all my loves into one business. I have merged my business as a fiber artist and my business as a hair designer and now you can get your crown and your temple embellished

Born Theresia L Bagley, Zenzele Amai Mjiba Nuru was a name given to her, it is South African origin and means mother, young revolutionary woman, and lastly one who overcomes obstacles and makes a way for herself, with that said zenzelenuru truly encompasses the attributes of her name for she is a mother of nine, natural stylist, student cosmetologist, and fiber artist. zenzele has traveled and studied abroad in Tokyo Japan, learning traditional long hair design and eastern, holistic aesthetics. zenzele has worked in the natural hair industry for twenty years, and has been formally trained at Federico Beauty Institute. Her enthusiasm for all things creative has led her to her new fondness for fiber artistry. As a fiber artist zenzele uses different types of fibers to make beautiful clothing and jewelry. zenzelenuru has placed all her cultural influences spanning the globe over the last seven years, and now will launch her long awaited clothing line zenzelenuru.
