Loved working with John Warda! We hired him after attending my sister-​in-​laws wedding at Viaggio. He had the whole party on the dance floor the entire night. We had such a great time we knew we had to have him for our special day at the Woodbridge Country Club.
He did our uplighting, and also provided sound for the ceremony as well as my cousins microphone and piano she used to play my ceremony song. Such an easy going man, professional, and great value!!! 100% recommended.

It’s been a year exactly since our wedding. As my husband and I look back on the event pictures we just go nuts over all the work that was put into making our day special. We had up multicolor light, fog machine (which was an amazing surprise), monogram wall, photo booth, pictures taken and more. Photo booth was great! Got our custom monogram from out wedding invites to be placed at the bottom to go with everything. Everyone got a copy and I got a disk at the end of the night. You can see some of our photos. Music was awesome. We gave them a list of songs we needed and if he didn’t have them he went and got them. We had everything from country, hip hop, pop and Hindi music. They really went above and beyond what we both could have imagined and our day wouldn’t have been the same without all their hard work. Anytime you have a wedding, anniversary party, birthday party, etc you have to use them! I know we will :-) Misra Wedding 9÷15÷14 wouldn’t have been the same without them. Thanks so much!

My husband wrote a review already (see Seth N.), but I feel compelled to write my own. As my husband said, we were planning our wedding in my hometown of Lodi, Ca while living in Iowa. Our crazy work schedules added to the mayhem and many details nearly fell through the cracks as we scrambled to get everything booked from afar. Thankfully, DJ Warda and the Rocking Entertainment team really went above and beyond to help us in the music and lighting arena.
LIGHTING: All we told him was our general, vague ideas for decorations, the atmosphere we were hoping to create (classy, but crazy fun), and our budget. From there, thanks to his familiarity with our venue, he was able to guide us with where to spend our money to maximize the value. From his suggestions we added purple uplighting, the full lit DJ booth, and a projection of our name on the dance floor wall. He didn’t try to hard sell us or force us into other costly purchases, but asked us to trust him that this is where our budget was best spent. It was PERFECT! When I walked into the reception hall, I was blown away at how gorgeous the venue looked with my decoration choices and his lighting. He was EXACTLY right! The lighting accents brought the whole thing together and seeing the monogram in the background of our dance pictures made everything look extra special and beautiful. He even gave me the stencil (can’t remember the exact word for it) that was used to project our name as a keepsake at the end of the night!!!
MUSIC: We were the worst clients ever and literally FORGOT to send him our music list before the wedding!!! No problem, he pulled me aside the morning of while my bridesmaids were getting married, we had a quick pow wow on ideas. I gave him a few songs that we wanted, he suggested some favorites for key moments when I couldn’t come up with more songs, then I told him, «I just want people to dance. I don’t care about all the pomp and circumstance of the bouquet toss and cake cutting if it disrupts the night. If everyone is dancing, don’t stop them. If there’s a natural lull, go ahead and say we’ll do the cake cutting (or whatever event) then. Just feel the vibe.» Those were some tricky instructions, but DJ Warda did EXACTLY that!!! From beginning to end he had the entire venue dancing and STILL managed to keep the energy up while fitting in all those traditional moments. I got so many compliments afterward on how great our DJ was and how beautiful the venue looked! So much of it was thanks to DJ Warda. He really made us feel special the entire night! Couldn’t have asked for more.

As a professional wedding & event planner, we had the pleasure of getting to work with John Warda & Rocking Entertainment. He sure knows how to get everyone on the dance floor along with lighting the room up JUST RIGHT! He sure knows what he is doing and I would HIGHLY recommend him to our clients. The wedding we worked together was a multi-​cultural wedding and he knew exactly what traditions needed to be met. Its always SO nice to work with other professionals that «get it». Thank you!

I have had the pleasure to have Johnny at Rocking Entertainment as my DJ on several occasions. I don’t think twice before asking him. He is the best at what he does and is very reliable. My graduation party was a memorable event because of him. He knows how to lead a show and keep everyone on their shoes. He has also played at various fundraising events for my church and really keeps the show going! His lights are amazing too!

Working with John and Rocking Entertainment was a great experience for my recent wedding. They were able to customize a package that met all of our wants and needs for both the ceremony and reception. Their lighting is beautiful, they have a lot of music suggestions to choose from, and once they get a taste for your style, they provide recommendations for additional music options. Because my wedding was multi-​cultural (I am Caucasian and my hubby is Indian), they even secured a second DJ who specialized in Indian music to help keep the party going on the dance floor. Overall, I loved my experience with Rocking Entertainment. There is nothing better than a vendor you can count on, that is professional and experienced, and that leaves the client assured that their event will turn out perfectly. I had no stress in my experience with Rocking Entertainment, and I would recommend them for any event.

Bottomline: The entire Rocking Entertainment team was fantastic to work with! They provided the entire package that made our wedding reception so memorable, and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.
My (now) wife and I had a challenging wedding planning phase– we got married in California, but we’ve been living in Iowa while she finishes medical school. Also, with my wife so busy, I had to figure out a lot of the details myself. Given that I was 1) the groom, 2) this was my first (and I hope last, of course) wedding, and 3) I’m a little white boy and my new family was filled with Latins who love dancing, I had absolutely no idea what to do.
DJ Warda stepped in and did an incredible job helping put everything together. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and knew how to guide me through the process of making decisions without being overbearing. Not only was he great with the music selections, but he had input for the flow of the entire reception, and was fantastic in planning the lighting and decorations for the entire venue– given that I’m colorblind, this was also a huge help.
I received nothing but compliments from my guests about the Rocking Entertainment team. Everyone had a spectacularly fun time, and though the music itself was a big part of that, I know how much planning and preparation went into getting to that point.
I should also point out that the DJ wasn’t just great to me– he provided and set up the sound for the guitar trio that played our cocktail hour and the Rabbi for the ceremony. They also complimented him for going out of his way to ensure their sound was fantastic as well.
I would 100% recommend Rocking Entertainment for any event, but in particular a complicated event that you need help planning out– they really make sure every detail is thought of and handled.
