History

Established in 2000.

As part of a reorganization of Waste Management’s financial structure in 1999, Keith Calapp’s position with Waste Management as a Field Service Technician was eliminated. Each city in the District was required to secure their own local support services. With in-​depth knowledge of each city’s network hardware, specialized software systems, employees and management in the district; it was a perfect opportunity to launch a new venture. Mobile PC Tech was born.

Mobile PC Tech is established on January 3, 2000 and Mr. Calapp brings many years of paid technical knowledge and experience that now gives him a unique advantage in providing professional level services to families and friends in the ELK GROVE and surrounding areas.

The company was profitable in the very first year of operation. With humble beginnings as a contract service provider, the company had only one customer for most of that first year. That customer was former employer Waste Management of Alameda

Keith J. Calapp has been working with computers since the early 1980’s with the first PC purchased being an IBM PC XT personal computer. His first paid tech support position was in 1995 with The Money Store in Sacramento, Ca. and the last employment was with Waste Management of Alameda County, Ca. ending in December 1999.
