Established in 2013.

We are a new gun store here in Sacramento. We started this store to answer the growing need for a store with good customer service and real shooting knowledge. You will not find your typical «Gun Store Commando» here! We are well trained military operators as well as firearm instructors. We know what shooters want and will cater to them, not to profits. (Well those are nice too) You will not be sold the wrong gun just because it makes us a better profit margin! We want area shooters to tell us what they want in a gun store, and we will listen. Come by and meet us, see what we have going, so far.

Larry will be relocating to Survival Instinct in Rancho Cordova as of 12÷8÷2014.

Larry has an extensive background with the firearms industry. His background includes: The better part of a decade with the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command with multiple «real world» combat deployments, NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer, Range Master, NRA Certified Instructor, Ca DOJ Certified Instructor, Ammunition Re-​loader, Competitive shooter, Glock certified armorer, Gunsmith, NRA Requiter. The list goes on…

Bottom line– Larry is very knowledgeable about guns as well as how to use them and teach others to do the same. He prides himself on his customer service and is very patient and approachable. You will not get his level of service to his customers at any other gun store!

When I was looking for a Glock 19, I came by this place as I remembered my experience from last time. Unfortunately it changed as Larry, the employee that helped me out was gone.
As I walked in, the guy helping me out was trying really hard to sell me the G19 that was there. He was accommodating but he pulled the «this is the last one i will ever get, buy it now as there won’t be any more» trick in the book. I don’t know any gun owners that watch «Aqua Teen Hunger Force» but the salesman that I delt with was pretty much Carl the neighbor if he worked there.
Anyways, it did encourage me even more to get a G19 which I did do my research and found it for even less somewhere else. But just be careful and do your research before heading over as you may be paying more than the MSRP with DROS and NICS.

Professionalism goes a long way. This shop needs it. When a customer calls to ask how much it costs to do a transfer in from out to state — that deserves a simple answer. Not, and I quote, «Oh, JE**S, man… blah blah blah.» To some people, that’s 1) an expletive and offensive, 2) the customer is always right even when he might be wrong, 3) phone manners go a long way, and 4) DON’T call back the caller who doesn’t want to hear your reason for being a chode THREE times. That’s borderline stalking. Seriously. I couldn’t have made this up??? The only reason I give them 2 stars is because I gave them 5 stars for my initial interaction with them which went fine.
You can chalk it up to a bad day. But this guy is never stopping in again. E.V.E.R. Plenty of local gun shops with customer service that beats these guys in spades. MTG Firearms for one.

found this shop with my friends while gassing up. went inside and was greeted by the owner Andrew. Owner is really friendly, knows what he’s talking about, doesn’t BS (or at least I think). Explained to me procedures on purchasing a firearm. I took the handgun safety certificate test, bought me a Glock 17 gen 3, picked it up after 10 days (California Law). I would definitely recommend this place. not too many firearms on the shelf (mostly glocks, ARs, Shotguns, bolt rifles, some revolvers), but you can always order through their website, just be sure the firearm is California legal or its going to cost you money (restocking fee, etc). you can always call them and they’d be happy to assist you.

Customer service is so bad. My husband walks in and looks around but there was no one around to help him out. So he waits. Somebody else comes in and a store clerk comes out and helps him out. He even asked if the guy needs help. My husband was there the whole time and got ignored by the clerk. That was totally rude. We are never going back there again.

this has got to be the best service i’ve ever experienced in any gun store i’ve been to. best prices on guns i’ve seen thus far. larry is very approachable and will answer any question you have. if they don’t have the gun you are looking for they are totally willing to see if they can get it for you. this is going to be my go to gun store. i’m not one to usually talk abou stores with other people but i’ve noticed when me and my buddies or coworkers start talkin about guns i mention this place. looking for a good gun store experience come here.

Larry Godbout at laguna guns fixed the terrible job that another shop in sac did. He installed my lasermax on my Glock 30SF. So not only did he install it, he had to fix the other shops botched job (River City Gun Exchange. Larry really knows his stuff and when it comes to glocks he is a guru. I found out he is also a firearms instructor for numerous courses including ccw.

I actually dropped in here to rent a u haul truck for my friend and discovered they had a gun shop starting up. I took a peek in there and met the owner Andrew, wonderful guy that takes the time to talk and answer any questions you might have. Their selection is pretty good for the size of the store but the PRICES! Forget any shop in elk grove these guys will beat it every time. I walked out with a new Sig AR-​15 and a Kahr pistol. I suggest anyone interested in buying a new firearm check this place out and compare prices/​service because I haven’t found better.
