Came to this location in Elk grove and it’s amazing chicken and pot stickers were fantastic. Well beyond expectation.

I love the way they make the Rainbow Roll here. They put shrimp tempura in the center, instead of the usual crab mix only. The teriyaki chicken bowl and teriyaki chicken noodle plate are top notch too. In my opinion, I haven’t found a better teriyaki place than I Love Teriyaki. I can’t remember the food ever being disappointing, and think their teriyaki sauce is perfect. This place is usually a mess, but I eat and run, or get it to go. The main thing I hate about this place is the poor ventilation. I don’t need to leave smelling like a BBQ… open a freakin’ door already!

Terrible ! First she got my order wrong. We get our food and the chicken was dry. I also ordered the Tempura combo. it was soggy. The shrimp looked like it came out a box and thrown in with the rest of the tempura. really !? To the owner. Your name is behind your food establishment. Get it together !

I love the food and it’s gotten pretty pricy, but it didn’t stop me from eating here. One time I was here, it got closed down by health inspection. That still didn’t stop me. Tonight there was a long blonde hair in my food and no, it wasn’t mine. I’m no longer blonde, but… I am done with this place…

We used to stop in when they were fairly new to Elk Grove, the store was clean and the food was tasty. Last time we stopped in, the floors and tables were sticky and it was just revolting in a way. Typically we stay to eat, but decided it would be best to just get it to go, since it was something we’d be waiting to have, since we are not from the area. The salad had a metallic taste to it, the lettuce wasn’t cleaned right or it was getting ready to expire. I will say the chicken and roll I had still was good, so that wasn’t disappointing. This place does have tasty food, it’s too bad that the employees and management do not have pride in the store to keep it sanitized and comfortable for people to want to stay and relax. We’ll be looking elsewhere. It’s a shame though.

I have been here 3 times during my 2 week business trip to Elk Grove. Portions are large, the food is good and the service is good. I had the combo plate with Thai chicken and Sesame chicken it was very tasty. I will definitely be back when I come to town.

Mehh, it’s just ok. I still stop by for the occasional chicken teriyaki and rice plate. Service is weird and all the food u have had has been middle of the road.

This review is for the two times that I’ve eaten at I Love Teriyaki. The good is just subpar compared to, say, Teriyaki Time down the street in another shopping plaza. I got the Spicy Chicken(fried). The round fried balls of battered chicken had a hard and stale batter crust on the outside which would have been okay if the chicken was soft and tender on the inside, but it’s just overall solid hard all around. The sauce included with this plate is just teriyaki sauce and did not have any sort of spice to it… Where is the«spicy» in Spicy Chicken? Another plate I’ve gotten before was the Thai Chicken. The chicken was very dry and overcooked, not enough seasoning/sauce to it. The side of California Roll that I got had avocado on it that were not ripe yet so there’s a piece of hard avocado in the center of the roll. The cut was 1″ per piece and was just huge. Their soda fountain was all out of service except for 2 flavors, lemonade being one of them. When you order take out, they don’t pack sauce for you or utensils, so make sure you grab them yourself from the counter. The staff here isn’t friendly and seem slightly irritated when you ask questions. Sorry, never again for this location.

this location is absolutely terrible. way over priced. I could get the same thing for $ 2 less at the downtown location. the service was slow and the food was just left at the counter for me to grab myself… if you’re looking to come to this restaurant I highly suggest going to a different branch

Got the chicken teriyaki plate which comes with rice and a salad. I really liked it especially with the teriyaki sauce on the tables. I was about to start eating my salad when I noticed a hair in it, lost my appetite. The tables were clean, one of the workers was cleaning all of the very throughly but the walls were kinda dirty. Went to the bathroom and walked out because they were messy. When we first walked in no one greeted us either. I think they should just tidy up the walls and the bathroom and maybe make their cooks wear a hairnet

Service is despicable! Dude sits there eating while taking orders, the place is always a mess, raggedy cheap plastic forks and napkins: sesame chicken dry as all hell, teriyaki burnt. Went there at 7:45 they close at 8 and the refused to serve us. I don’t know why I bothered to go back.

Came here only cause savory is sold out of food at 4pm on a weekday. Guy who took the order must be new because I had to repeat everything multiple times. I even used the numbers to order to make it easier for the poor guy. Asked for to-go then decided to dine-in, told him literally 60 seconds after we ordered but when the order was ready, still was in takeout boxes. Ordered spicy chicken but just got regular. All I can say that was a plus was at least they had food u could buy.

So… where is the«Japanese» food? All I got was burnt ashes of whatever they tried to cook. The sauce in the bottle is good everything else isn’t that good.

Heard some good reviews about this place so decided to try it out for the first time. First off the place looked a bit dirty. Pieces of food and trash all over the floor. Chairs just strewn about. They should have 2 people doing the front work instead of just one doing all ordering, bussing, cleaning. We ordered the Teri chicken and special box A. It took a while to get our food(about 10 minutes) unusually slow I thought. Portions were nicely sized, but the taste needed some help with the available teriyaki sauce bottles. Of course that’s my opinion. All in all, it was pleasant but I think it could’ve been better with all the good reviews from my peers. I’ll try again another time.

I used to come here a lot until the cleanliness of the restaurant started crumbling. Pros: I would usually get the Regular Chicken teriyaki bowl. It had a enough chicken to make you full! I appreciate the cooks for having at least a hat on when cooking.(Wouldn’t want to get a hair in my food). Cons: For the same price you could just go to Mikuni’s down the street(teryaki bowl) and its a lot cleaner and classier. Sanitation is put to question with the bathrooms, floor, and sometimes even the tables being dirty. Conclusion: Like stated before, I «used to» come and eat here. If you walk into a dirty place, is your food dirty too? I stay away. Good luck!

No stars!!! The food here is NASTY tasteless crap nothing like teriyaki. Should have run fast when I stepped inside realizing the ppl in the back preparing the food weren’t asian(no, I’m not being racist or anything) take almost 30+ mins to get our food(take-out) is ridiculous! Chicken was dry and the teriyaki sauce doesn’t taste right. Side cabbage salad(don’t know the name) was totally disgusting! Wtf is that $hit!?! Who ever is running this place might as well add«grass salad» and«dirt sauce» to the menu. One word. YUCK!!!

Customer service: There was a girl at the register. It was lunch time rush and she had to take orders, answer the phone, and give out food. She basically took our order and that was it. She didn’t have time to be friendly. So I understand, but I mean you can still smile and be nice. Cleanliness: there was a man going around and cleaning so the dining area was ready for more customers, which I did appreciate. FOOD: I got the spicy chicken and calamari plate. –Lettuce salads its bean sprouts tasted old. –Calamari was fried but lacked seasoning. Perhaps it’s the batter, but it wasn’t crunchy at all. It was basically fried without purpose. We fry food for the crunch and flavor. The calamari didn’t have either. –Spicy chicken does have a crunch but very dry. So the teriyaki sauce helps. I feel like the best part of this plate was the rice and teriyaki sauce. I’ve eaten here a couple years ago and didn’t like it. Gave it a try again. Obviously, I won’t be coming back.

Totally irate! Called in my order at 4:15pm. Ordered 2 box B’s and 1 chicken teriyaki plate. Told them my husband was picking up at 5:15pm. Thy had an hour on a Monday evening to get it ready for us. FAIL. Husband arrives at 5:15pm, they had him wait for another 15 – 20 minutes. He gets home and of course, they shorted us steamed rice and California rolls on both the box B’s. SERIOUSLY?! The chicken teriyaki plate also failed to include the steamed veggies! I immediately called to complain. The gal who answered the phone apologized. Then I had to ask her if they could credit us or put our names down on a botched order list. She did, but I find it so frustrating that I had to ask. She tried to make an excuse that she wasn’t the one who took the order, but I reminded her that she was the one who packaged the order and was supposed to ensure that what she charged us for, we received. She sadly agreed. Sadly enough it was the California rolls that I really wanted and of course we did not receive them! My husband was completely confused as he said she checked the order at least 3 times. Lastly, they did not provide goyza sauce for the potstickers! So sad!

I am a fan of the teriyaki chicken served here. Some places leave too much burnt char on the chicken(something that isn’t good if you are trying to avoid cancer). This place seems to do a pretty good job avoiding this. The teriyaki sauce they serve is tasty. They are not particularly fast, but that’s okay, as long as you expect it. The seating area is designed for quick eating, and the ambiance feels like that of a low-rent fast food place. They have a TV, usually with the news on. I prefer to pick my food up to-go.
