Grove Memorial Chapel

I have attended events here many, many, many times; but not in the last 5 years. This is a lovely building with 2 very large presentation rooms; though as I remembered even with a decent sized parking lot, it would help a lot if the lot were larger. Why, you may ask? As I pulled in and parked, making my way to the door, one of the service professionals yelled at me to move my car.
I had no problem moving my car, but I’m not sure why it was in the wrong place to begin with. Did the gentleman offer to help me with the 2 large platters of sandwiches I had been asked to bring by the family? No.
That being said, the lower level is available to set up snacks for family and friends who are beat, and it looks very similar to the last time I was here.
After entering, I saw no staff anywhere; though this was a rather large wake. The next a.m. when some of us gathered there prior to heading off to church, one of the service professionals started a cassette player, played one song, and then asked us to say a Hail Mary.
Boy, I must admit; and if lightning hits me now it would be so unfair, but I don’t feel the man’s heart was in it. It felt like going through the motions. Did I mention he was the gentleman who told me to move my car?
As far as services offered and venue, shall we say, this is a very nice place. But as far as some of the fine points, please take note, because those can be handled a lot classier, with the same result.

A very nice chapel. Went here for a recent memorial service and they handled things very nicely and efficiently. The place is large and laid out well, with a downstairs lounge area to relax and have a coffee or whatever and to meet with your loved ones.
The staff is professional and courteous.
