This is now a motel 6. I WARN aginst going to this motel. The first day i got there was 6-14-2015. The hotel staff was very unfriendly. There is minimal entertainment. Not much for restaurants, very small rooms that almost feel like your being encarserated. I flew up here from Joplin, mo. for a job. This is first time they have used this hotel and after discussing it with my boss he said it will be the last time the use it as well. The Stanley Cup is in town so most places are booked. This morning 6-15-2015 before i left for orientation i had to use the restroom. There toilet ended up clogged. The staff was very hateful me of not flushing. Outlets didn’t work, phone was disconnected, no water pressure. I went to the clerk who tried to help me. I went to 5 different rooms no luck. Couldn’t shower in any of them no water pressure. The last one they sent me to was 219. I was discussed to discover that the room had yet to be cleaned. There were shirts and hangers left. The room was trashed completely Grose. I went downstairs and had a talk with the clerk and owner. The owner was rude with me. Not only would he not help me in any way but admited to knowing the room was dirty and threatened to have me arrested. If anyone has any since you would be better off living in a van down by river. I hope that this helps you in making a decision.

Terrible hotel with old mattresses, beds and tons of bed bugs. Very bad customer service. Do not go to this hotel, it is not worth it. Do not believe the good reviews, they have been posted by themselves.

We stayed 7⁄23 to 7⁄31 we checked in super late and they were booked we knew the chances of having a fridge was slim. the clerk on night shift was SUPERB! HEFOUNDONEANDHADITTOOURROOMINNOTIME. I have diabetes so it was super important bc of insulin. other hotels have brought me ice! So thank you john! Mary and Jason were awesome to… BUTWEHADMOREINTERACTIONSWITHJOHN… ANDHECOULDN’T HAVEMADEOURSTAYMOREPLEASANT… It absolutely makes me laugh the fact that people have left bad reviews I see absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel it was clean quiet and maid service was great. The only crazy we experienced was the large flock of geese that will follow you like puppies lol and the rogue raccoon and skunk we got to run from hahaha totally entertaining… Again thank you john we will definately stay again…

Nice place if you need an inexpensive overnight 20 mins from the city. Beds are more comfortable than hotels I’ve stayed in with comparable prices. Granted I don’t look for much, rather, a nice bed and clean facilities I’m set.

Only positive thing was the friendly staff. Unable to get an extra pillow. Were booked and given keys to an already occupied room. Crappy rooms. Don’t waste your $

Overall OK for the budget traveler considering it is a Days Inn. I was traveling on business and would not recommend this place for a business traveler, spend the extra money and go to a better place. You shouldn’t expect 5-star quality at a place like this but there are still some basics missing. I booked at Travelocity for under $ 50 per night and it was the best deal in the area. The service is good, no complaints. The rooms are large enough with a nice desk that is good for a laptop. I was traveling on business so that was useful. The free Wifi worked good as well. Complaints: 1. The bedspread has cigarette holes in it and no attempt to hide it as they were on the top. 2. The bathroom is very small and if you are sitting on the toilet you can’t close the door. 3. The shower head is really low, like under 5′ high. 4. In general not a very clean room, towels, bedspread, carpet, walls. There was a water drip under the AC the entire time. It needs a makeover. 5. The breakfast was bad — i think i just had a muffin and what they call juice but it was terrible. 6. The AC is a wall unit without a real thermostat so it is a little noisy and usually too hot or too cold.

friends were having their wedding reception nearby. since neither hubs nor i were willing to sacrifice our open-bar participation, we elected to find a cheap room nearby. enter days inn. actually, don’t enter days inn. while the staff was friendly and accommodating, the place itself was horribly unappealing. our room came equipped with the following: one smaller-than-full-but-larger-than-twin bed no working outlets in the bathroom a single bar affixed directly to the wall next to the bed(in lieu of a closet) gnats several random and slightly disturbing carpet stains odd smells i suppose one can’t expect much more when paying $ 55/night for a room but i felt like i was going to pass out and wake up with a disease. husband’s quote of the night: «i might need to put a condom on just to sleep in this bed.» avoid unless absolutely necessary.

Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The proximity to the El makes this place worth every dollar.

The hotel was nice. The breakfast was pretty standard and the ice machine didn’t have ice. The room was clean and the bed was big and comfy. The airport, a mall, and Legoland are all nearby. Seems like a great place for a family on a budget who want to be close to those things, but may want to head into Chicago and are willing to pay for parking. Breakfast is served from 6 — 9, so get up early.
