Good intentions, but get the impression some of the guys are bored with their jobs. Hit or miss when it comes to paying attention to detail.

Great service, very clean install! When I had multiple other shops tell me that remote start was not possible on my application (2015 Subaru WRX, push button start, manual transmission) these guys proved them wrong! I’m an automotive technician myself and I know a good shop when I see one, these guys know their products and have a ton of experience, highly recommend!

Wasted my time. Called twice with no answer and even stopped by just to make sure they’re still there. Stood in the waiting area and had the employees just stare at me like I didn’t belong there. Just missed out on a FULL high end system upgrade due to lack of customer service.

Spoke with James-​he was so helpful! Comprehensively answered all my questions and was great to talk to.

Just brought my car in for a system install. Got a 4 channel Kenwood for the doors/​decklid and they hooked up my amp/​sub/​headunit from my old vehicle. After tuning it all up for me, it sounds fantastic and the install is SUPER clean.
I used to do all of the work myself, but to do as clean of an install as they do, it would take me days. I’d much rather have them do the work and know it’s done right.

Installed my navigation indash with these guys and did a great job! Thank you Jim Selvaggio and crew. very helpfull, Friendly, highly recomended.

A couple of years ago, they helped me tremendously (via the assistance of Hyundai) in replacing an original stereo/​nav/​bluetooth unit with an after-​market replacement. It was for this reason that I came back to them to have a brand new stereo installed replacing the one they had put in a couple of years back. I called to setup an appointment and they asked when I would prefer to bring it in. I suggested Monday and they said that shouldn’t be a problem. We agreed that I would bring it in at 9:30am and they assured me it would be done that day. I dropped it off that morning and got a co-​worker to drive me back to work. I called at 3pm to check on the status and they told me they had been running behind but my car was «the next in line» and it shouldn’t take long. I called an hour later @ 4 and had made other arrangements at work for another co-​worker to drive me there. ABC told me that it hadn’t been worked on yet. I told them that this was very frustrating and could I come pick it up and take it to another company that could complete the install. They expressed that the old system had already been taken out and that they would have it done by 5pm at the latest. I showed up after 5pm figuring that they would have had plenty of time to straighten it all out. I waited until after 5:40pm to finally be told my setup was ready. I voiced my concerns. They told me they were sorry. I paid the bill in full and drove off. That is the last time I go back to or send anyone else to ABC Automotive Electronics. Lesson learned.

Was having problems with my Avital remote starter on my Honda Civic ever since Ohare Honda replaced my battery. Ohare Honda wasn’t interested in correcting the issue so I found ABC online. They are located 5 minutes away from my job so I think Perfect. Best decision I ever made. The staff was very helpful and courteous my starter was fixed in less than 10 minutes and for less than $ 50. I will recommend this place to all my friends and co workers. They even informed me that they have a location closer to my house that I can visit next time. Now that’s customer Service.

Had an old MTX Black Gold 10″ sub that I couldn’t part with from back in the 90’s. Glad I kept the thing! One of the best subs around!.. Took it to ABC in Elk Grove today and spoke with Jim, James, Jeff & other installers & sales guys. Each and every one friendly and helpful! I did call and make an appointment first. Not once did they try and persuade me to buy any of their equipment. Not once did they scoff at the idea of installing used equipment which many shops don’t like doing. I had everything they needed except the box. My custom enclosure from back int he day did not fit where I wanted it to fit, so they sold me a truck box that did. Worked perfect!
These guys have and do EVERYTHING, LED lights, Navi units, remote starts, alarm systems, DVD screens, even leather interior!
And here’s a hint… If your purchasing a new car and you want to get some accessories or upgrades installed, DON’T pay the dealer for it!.. Cut out the middle man and go directly to ABC Electronics. They will take care of you and they will do the job right!
Jim has been working in the stereo installation field for over 30 years and many of the installers have been with him for many years, these guys know what they are doing and they don’t cut corners. They listen to your needs and figure out a solution and then they go over their ideas with you for feedback. The double check with me in regards to mounting location, hole drilling location, etc.
Clean install!.. I WILL be back if there is anything more that I need and I WILL recommended these guys to friends and co-​workers. Their prices were reasonable and they have some really nice equipment.

I think ABC Automotive takes the cake when it comes to installing car audio, video, security, and Remote starters. I was fortunate enough to use them for all 4 services in my car and in my home. Not only are they trained professionals they really know how to explain what they are doing and how to work the products after being installed, which I find some places tend to forget to do when the job is done. On the other hand Jim Faust owner, personally came over after installation to explain everything and how it all works and even cool tricks I never knew existed
Aside from ABC Electronics being so great and professional they left my house and car looking more amazing then when I brought in or when they came into my house. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
