Great experience here in a Thursday night. Good beers, friendly staff, good live music, and super tasty pulled pork taco. Will definitely be back!

Beer is great. First time here. Kitchen was really really backed up to the point where we waited over 1 hour for our food.(Huge crowd on a Sunday night.) But the manager owned it and comped our entire tab. What a gesture! Food was excellent. Hope there’s not a wait next time but grateful that they took care of us.

Update: our return visit merits a 5 star review. Great beer, great staff, great food. We are too comfortable here and after only two visits… We may have to move closer… What a serendipitous find — the brewery sign had our scooby doo ears up as we drove past… Glad we drove around the block and parked… Awesome industrial space — lots of raw wood and positive energy. Decent sized menu with bar food, salads and sandwiches. We opted for the fried bologna and ham loaf appetizer. Sounds bizarre, and I questioned my partner’s choice but figured what the hell. It included sautéed pineapple and peppers not to mention taziki sauce. Really surprisingly and incredibly delicious. Beers are nice as well — we liked the Falliage — a clovey fall flavored ale. We recommend a flight though. The staff is top notch — very friendly and attentive — not in your face. Loved the whole experience. Four out of five because the beer could be more full bodied — but all in all — we’ll be back.

Beer and only beer for this trip to Funk’s. The guys got the super-sized flight of 11 beers and enjoyed the variety available. The interior is very nice and open which is great for people watching. Staff had the good, great and so-so covered.

Fantastic beer. They have a citrus IPA I love — and I’m not even a fan of IPAs. That’s how good it is. And I’ve tried almost every beer and I have been impressed with the quality. They also have more than just hoppy styles(I hate that most craft breweries focus on «hoppiness» — Funks isn’t like that). The food is amazing too! I recommend the quesadillas since they have a cheese crusted outside. Scrumtrulescent. I’ve also had two different sandwiches on separate occasions. I inhaled both. Seasoned pretzels are different — not sure if I like the sweet flavor. Wish they did a savory seasoning. But yeah, this place rocks. Go to Funk E-Town.

Stopped in to check it out during Second Friday and so glad we did! Etown has needed a place like Funk for a while, and I’m excited to return again and again. Sampled all of their impressive non-Belgian beers. The pale ale and stout are particularly good. And the food was simple, fresh and quick. I also want to give props for having great sound for the live band that was playing — the volume wasn’t overwhelming for the audience, either! We’ll be back.

Funks is a great new spot on Market Street in Etown. The beer is great and every food dish I saw go by my table was better than the last. On Saturday night when I visited they were running a special on their saison brew for only $ 4 a pint. This beer was great and even sold me to come back the next day and fill up my growler. They also had live performers who were playing great Bluegrass music, perfect place to catch up with friends and relax. I look forward to going back and getting something to eat next time.

Was walking by, saw it and walked in. Totally unexpected! I figured I’d sample a beer and go, but no… vegetarian options and fresh made! Had the guacamole dipper and the hummus appetizers with a stout beer. So delicious. The owner came over to ask my name, introduced himself and talked for a bit. I’m eager to see how this place progresses, but overall — this is the way to open a place, knock everyones socks off from the get-go. This is odd for me, I’m not really a beer drinker, but I can’t wait to go back.

Stopped in on a whim and I’m so glad that we did. The beer was excellent, I had Dark Farmhouse and the Nitro Stout. As a vegetarian I was pleasantly surprised to find a few selections on their menu that I could eat and that were tasty. The owner introduced himself to us and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. I’m very glad to have found such a quality brewery so close to home.

My son, a beer connoisseur, was coming in from Pittsburgh, and I wanted quality craft beer for him. Aaron was super helpful. I clearly knew nothing about beer, and he still treated me with respect. He allowed me to taste the stout and offered additional beers for me to taste. The two beers I chose, stout and citrus India pale ale, were excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I plan to return with my wife. Maybe, the time has come for me to move beyond Sam Adams.

We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Great atmosphere with good beer and food. The food is just sandwiches and salads for now but it is well done, hopefully they lift the top off the kitchen soon.
