I travel to the EWR area several times a year and always look forward to ordering from John’s, they deliver to my hotel and the pizzas are always taste on point! Thanks for taking care of us travelers at the end of a long flight! Chicken Bacon Ranch is my favorite!

Pretty good New York style pizza here. I’m always wary of adding sausage to pizzas from a place I’ve never been to, because I dread getting that ground up sausage some of them use. This one was chunk sausage, which was excellent. Delivery was quick as well. No complaints.

Food is excellent, nice to see an Italian staff and a father/son owner team that really cares. More than just pizza, Johns will always please. From Subs to burgers there is nothing but deliciousness. If something is wrong the owner will go out of his way to ensure you are satisfied. I sure hope the owner wears a hair net as he has such a phenomenal head of hair.

Update: Almost two years later and I’m able to add a star to my previous rating. This time around I ordered a personal cheese pizza: still delicious and lives up to New York(east coast) pizza. Thin, crispy crust, mild sauce, and perfect amount of cheese. Onion rings(served in a bag; the way fried food should be served instead of locked in a tin to sweat it out and get soggy) were like a higher quality version of Burger King O-rings… Cheesesteak sub with peppers onions and mushrooms– the best way to describe it, would be «perfectly Skanky» it was chopped, greasy, cheesy, and the bun was perfectly unsoggy. Still not the perfect cheesesteak, but it’s got potential. Finally; the fettuccine Alfredo + chicken. It was very ON point for what i was looking for. A bit skanky. Pasta was al dente and thin(which I appreciate) the sauce was creamy, cheesy and flavorful, and the chicken was thin strips of REAL chicken breast, grilled and the fat and knobs trimmed off.(Wish I added broccoli to this) The remaining star will be reserved for when they finally start reading the order slips and«add salt and pepper packets please» my number one complaint with takeout and delivery is when you specifically ask for things like extra salt and pepper, or blue cheese, or ranch, or whatever you rely on the dress up your items, and not only do you get extra, you end up with none. Anyway, I like this place(especially compared to other delivery I’ve had in the area) and will order again. PLEASEADDSALTANDPEPPER!

I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and Sweet Potato Fries, and it was really good! I will definitely be ordering again. It took about an hour from the time I ordered to the time it arrived at the door, which is honestly pretty normal for where I am. I wish it was a bit quicker, but hey, what are you going to do? The portion was huge! I ate it for two days, which you can’t beat for the price!

Ordered a BBQ Chicken Pizza(Sicilian) with extra Pepperoni. Though it took more than a hour to deliver, it was good and worth the wait. Would defiantly order again.

Just got a sandwich for the THIRD time I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance maybe cause it’s close and I know the owner a little if you want nasty sandwich this is the place !! What a shame every-time it gets worse and worse the chicken is so thin and rubbery the French fries were left in the grease so gross. I am DONE with this place waste of money I am pissed. There is nothing special about johns worth going back for what a damn shame !

Yummy !! We ordered the chicken Parmesan and lasagna. I asked to have my marinara spicy for my chicken parmesan and they were happy to oblige! The meal cost us around 9 bucks each, the food was flavorful, fresh and had HUGE portions !!

Pizza was okay. Mozzarella sticks were delicious. Delivery took an hour. Liked Tommy’s better, the other pizza place near the airport hotels.

Great pizza, not bad at all. I’m big on how the sauce at any pizzeria tastes and sometime they can be stingy with it on their pizza, that’s my only reason for the 4 star versus 5 star review. Try the fried Oreos!!!

I rarely review, unless something strikes me on either side of the spectrum. I have visited this place on three separate occasions. The food has been consistent, fresh, and tasty. I typically order from the sandwich menu. The red peppers are fresh. The balsamic vinegar is premium. The bread is fresh. I look forward to trying a new sandwich each time. I am yet to be disappointed.

fried oreos from this place literally stole me from all other restaurants in the area. The only ones that seem to serve them in Elizabeth that I know of. I can get a salad or chicken parm from anywhere but the oreos got me hooked. it’s the small things.

Don’t order online. Ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. Asked them to toss the salad. They called me and asked what I meant by «toss the salad» and I told them I just wanted them to toss the salad in the dressing. They brought this wimpy salad. A handful of the worst parts of lettuce. With chicken on top and a ton of dressing just thrown on top. Just awful. Didn’t taste great either.

I hate writing negative reviews and I really wanted to like John’s. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I ordered a salad and a pizza, and wasn’t able to finish either of them. Pizza was soggy(so disappointing). After one slice, I just ripped the crust off of the rest of the pizza and ate that only. 2 stars for nice customer service and it looked like the vegetables were fresh. I did order this for delivery, so maybe it is better in the store!

I’ve never dined-in, however I have ordered out a few times. The delivery is fast and friendly. I have tried their lasagna, broccoli and cheese bites, their pizza, which were all very good, but the chicken chipotle wrap is by far one of the best wraps I’ve ever had. They have a very extensive menu which is awesome, looking forward to trying many other things that they have to offer.

Another cold day in jersey calls for delivery! I ordered from this place for first time based on their good reviews and pics. I ordered: 2 chicken parmigiana plates 1 Cesar salad Pros: 1.big portions! The plates came with 3 pieces of chicken each! That’s very generous and garlic bread. Honestly 2 people can eat from one plate depending how hungry you are. The taste of the chicken and sauce very good and hearty. Cons: 1. My Cesar salad was a great disappointment. No Parmesan cheese! And the dressing tasted like butter. I was really looking forward to a great tasty salad. For $ 6 I expected more than just tossed greens in a box with stale croutons 2. The garlic bread was just cold bread with some garlic spread on it. There prices are reasonable for their portions. I ordered online and it took 55 mins. I will definitely give this place another try by buying pizza on my next order. I paid $ 34 with delivery and tip. I gave this place 4 stars because of their fast delivery and generous portions.

I am a regular here. From the chicken noodle soup to the classic pepperoni pizza, they nailed everything. Their soups and salads are better than most. I definitely recommend the arugula salad, it’s a combo that comes with breaded chicken and pasta, it’s DELICIOUS! Seriously. Very nice employees, the owner is also almost always around.

On our way to Princeton, NJ from Long Island my husband and I wanted to stop for some dinner. We pulled up Unilocal and John’s caffe was one of the first things to come up. Didn’t even have time to read the reviews as we had to quickly get off the exit, but we were pleasantly surprised with the caffe. We split a meat lover’s slice of pizza, which was superb. Then split a bowl of Italian wedding soup(my husbands choice, I didn’t expect to like it) but it was really rich and enjoyable. Husband would’ve liked it better if there was some butter to go with the roll served next to soup. Then the fat yokey sandwich(grilled chicken with grilled zucchini, fresh mozzarella + pesto mayo) with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was less than exciting, not much cheese and seemed to be straight up pesto(no mayo). After adding some pepper flakes to spice it up, it was better. Our first round of sweet potato fries were cold but they quickly swapped them out for a fresh serving. When paired with the chipotle mayo, they were perfect. We thought overall the food was great, people friendly + a great value. However, I must mention that the sweet young girl working up front was responsible for ringing up orders, taking the money and grabbing slices of pizza to take to the ovens in the back, which she did with her fingers. A pair of tongs to grab the pizza instead of the fingers which have just touched all sorts of things would do a lot of good. Best wishes and good vibes to this family owned business.
