Just bought a house and called ortiz to install a garage door opener. Came within minutes and installed the garage opener and adjusted the door. Quick and informative. Great job!

We heard a clangy/​boingy metallic sound and spent 20 minutes searching the house to determine the source. Puzzled we couldn’t figure out what the heck it was we decided to go about our business & head out to run some errands and then discovered the mystery sound was one of the garage door opener springs having snapped. A quick search on Unilocal led us to Ortiz Garage Doors & Openers. We called him at 4:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon & he arrived at 8 a.m. the next morning. Prompt, courteous and he was in and out replacing both our springs in 25 minutes (only one snapped but we preferred he just replace them both & he recommended that was a good idea since they were both the same age/​wear) for $ 200. We would definitely call him again should we need anything done relating to our garage door.

I called on a Friday afternoon and they were out the very next day at 8:00am to fix door. Very friendly and courteous. Had the door fixed within 20 minutes at a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them!!!

I called Oscar Ortiz on New Year’s eve with a broken garage door that I couldn’t get open. Luckily I had access to another car, since I didn’t want to bother him on New Years Eve. I’m positive that if I had not had access to another car, that Oscar would have come over that afternoon. We set up Saturday as a tentative day and time for him to come and fix it, and he showed up at the given time, even earlier than I expected! He fixed the door within 20 minutes and lubricated it for me at no extra charge. I’m always hoping to find a great repair service for anything you can think of in or outside the home and I’m confident I have found one with Ortiz. Very friendly as well!

My garage door spring napped, and I needed a replacement. Most places in the area couldn’t work with my schedule, but Mr. Ortiz did! I talked to him Wednesday night, and he was there the next day at 7 PM. He showed up on time, and called me from the driveway to let me know he was there. He was cordial and friendly to deal with. He told me my options and prices up front. He spent about 20 minutes replacing the springs, then had me come out to show me what he did. I’m absolutely happy with his work, and I’m grateful he was able to work with my schedule. I won’t hesitate to call Mr. Ortiz for any garage door needs. 5⁄5

The spring on my garage door broke a second time in 5 years. So frustrating. I called Ortiz because of the Unilocal reviews.
He came in a marked truck (his company logo) and had all the equipment.
He brought out a scale to weight the door and has a program on his phone where he showed me that the previous spring was inadequate for my door. He put in two springs which he indicated are rated for 26,000 cycles. They were a little more but I am really tired of having problems with my garage.
He had a helper and together they got the work done right away, clean, and efficient. I didn’t really shop around but from the little searching I did on the internet, his prices were fair.
I like doing business with small, local businesses where the owner actually does the work. I feel comfortable with Ortiz.

My garage door had the spring snap and I needed it repaired ASAP. Called up Ortiz based on the reviews I found and also them being close by. I was surprised when he stated he could come by and check it immediately if it was okay with me. I explained how I wouldn’t be home for another two hours and he replied that in two hours he could come by and look at it then. When he arrived he was very thorough with the door and made sure I understood the repair that needed to be made. In less than 30 minutes he had the door working again and better than before. I would definitely recommend them to everyone plus the price was reasonable.

I called Oscar today. He remembered me from 2011 when I approached him while he was installing a door for my neighbors. I asked him about a door panel that was rusted — he helped me with a warrantee claim with the manufacturer. I had it drop shipped to Home Depot. He picked it up and installed it. Today — my quick call and his arrival in two hours and a professional replacement of my springs.

We have called Ortiz twice, first time when the spring broken and again today when the garage door just wouldn’t open or close. Although at first they couldn’t confirm an arrival time because of their busy schedule, within a couple of hours, a very professional service person arrived and quickly fixed the problem.
The price they charged was fair (as we’ve called around to compare parts and labor charge), and overall just a pleasant experience. It’s great to have a reliable go-​to company since our garage door is 10-​year old.
