Specialties
We change the soups and sandwiches weekly.
The most important thing for me is that the food tastes good.
We have several side dishes (hence the name) ranging from penne and cheese to black bean and quinoa salad and everything in between.
We try to do as much from scratch as possible including homemade BBQ sauce and worcestershire sauce.
We are making food that is good for your soul or good for your body.
Breakfast is available everyday until 11 AM.
We have a casual atmosphere and offer free wifi.
Because it means so much to me I’ll restate that the most important thing is that the food must taste good.
History
Established in 2012.
It’s the former Red Bar space in downtown Elgin and the building was built in 1893.
Meet the Business Owner
Tom C.
Business Owner
In 2005, after spending 17 years working in retail sales, I changed careers and graduated from the LeCordon Bleu Institute of Chicago and then the French Pastry School in Chicago. This is my first experience opening my own restaurant. The focus is and will continue to be on serving tasty food made with care and integrity.
