I love this place. It’s an awesome little local dive bar that you could easily miss if you don’t know where to look. It’s home away from home for my friends and I. The bartenders are beautiful and extremely nice, the bouncer is an ass but he’s the homie. Even though there really isn’t that much of a beer selection and they switched from having bottles of PBR to cans, I still love it. Oh, and it’s one of 2 places in town with a pool table.

I visited this bar on Monday mid-day after reading Unilocal reviews. The service was good, drink was great and I knew I’d be back. I stopped in today and was disappointed not with the service or drink but the cigarette smoke from the smokers right outside the door! The smoke was terrible ! And no I was not sitting by the door, I was sitting at the bar! There should really be some consideration to outdoor smoking areas due to the flow of cigarette smoke.

Listen, if you are looking for a dive bar with a Cheers feel to it — go here. If you don’t want to bond with the locals — go to the other sports bar around the corner. The bartender here knows her people and even had a drink with them after her shift. Super cool chick! This place has the best basics you need at a bar: great beers, great service, no frills. This place has that local charm and some awesome patrons who treat you like family(even if you are rooting for the enemy team). Went in here to watch game 7 of the WS(Go Giants!) and it was a blast! They have plenty of TVs, a pool table, and some other stuff around the bar that I didn’t pay attention to. The décor in the place is shabby, but really it’s a bar and it works for the feel of the place. I wouldn’t want them to change anything. The stools are comfy and there is plenty of room for groups of 5 or even 8 to share a table together. Don’t get here expecting table service — order at the bar, grab it and go or end up waiting a few innings before getting your Stella. Everyone learns, but she came by and asked if I wanted another which was cool. A great feature of this bar is that it’s connected to the Fish Co. next door. So you can order some awesome food and they’ll bring it to the bar for you. There is also a door that connects the two together inside. I also loved that there were 4 old-school TVs on the patio for those smokers and pet lovers to watch the game and chill on the patio. Nice touch.

a strange little place with bad lighting behind the bar. however… the bartender is super fun and the place is open late. small space with a bar on the east side and a pool table & tables on the west. bar top is a simple wooden top with no rail. a ledge for a foot rest. circular, spinning padded diner stools. was hot the nights i came in, so there were fans everywhere. the bar back is what annoys me most though. it contains bottle shelves that are highlighted by LEDs. it’s like the owner watched bar rescue and said, «i need to draw everyone’s eyes to the hard liquor». However it’s too unnatural & distracting. didn’t eat and don’t recall if they offer food. best for those late nightcaps.

Kaylee is the best! Love finding a great local bar that stays open late! There is only drinks but the bar staff has menus for both neighboring restaurants or you can always order somewhere else. Pretty cool.

Walked in to watch game 6 last week of the playoffs and was not impressed at all. I’ve been to several dive bars that were awesome! this one didnt cut it at all! bar tender was rude didnt come around to even wait on us and it wasnt busy at all. There was a kid in the back yelling«mommy» and was just dark and shitty. I mean not even for a beer, good luck!

Solid dive bar that’s walking(staggering?) distance from my place. Definitely a lot of regulars here, especially in the happy hour bracket. Beer pong, pool, darts… lots of games to play which is pretty sweet. Service is always really friendly and they have a lot of creative shots and drink specials.

A co-worker recommended this place to me. I enjoy the neighboring Fish place and Hummus Factory, so I thought I would give it a shot. I came with a friend. the drinks were fairly priced and the bartender was very friendly. My major qualm with this place is that it definitely is a «locals» bar. As soon as we got out of the car, my friend and I were stared at, and continued to be watched as we spent time inside. Everyone there knew each other, and it was pretty uncomfortable and hard to ignore. Like the peeps were waiting for us to start trouble. Which btw, my friend and I are absolutely non-threatening looking, lol.

This will be brief. My friend was in town from New York and wanted to hit a dive bar so we went to this place. Walking in it seemed perfect. Juke Box? Check. TVs? Check. Pool Tables? Check. There were 4 of us so I ordered a pitcher of what was on tap — Hangar, I believe. When the bartender was pouring it, it came out ¼ head so she said she would charge me for 3 beers only. Sounds like a fair deal. We drank our beers, I went to close out and the total was $ 20.00. Yes, $ 20.00. $ 20.00 for 3 beers? 3 pints. Tip on top, that’s $ 23.00 for 3 beers. Pretty pricey dive bar. It was worth a try, but I guess I’ll hit up some of those other places in El Segundo — The Standard, The Tavern, Purple Orchid.

A fun and friendly atmosphere with an interesting selection of beers. A few TVs and the standard pool table and what is a bar without Golden Tee. Lots of room to mingle.

I really liked the vibe in this place especially for a Thursday. The people were nice and friendly. The music playing on the jukebox was just up my alley. There is a beer pong set up outside. I do have one issue: The Pabst draft is way over priced. $ 16 for a pitcher? Really? This is not a dive bar. It’s a nice place. I’ve been to dive bars and people are too anxious to use the term«dive bar» to describe any neighborhood bar that doesn’t play club music. A true dive bar is a place you wouldn’t want your mother to walk in alone. :)

I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve had too much to drink which includes last Thursday night. My friend and I wrapped up the night here after visiting three other bars previously. This bar is definitely one in which everyone knows everyone. Luckily everyone knows my friend so we were hanging out and chatting and having a good time. The drinks were really strong and for two rum and cokes it was only $ 8.00. There is nothing super interesting about this bar. It has a few TVs and a pool table. At the end of the night there was some sort of altercation between some guys in the bar and they went out in the parking lot to fight. But nothing happened and before you know it six cop cars came. It was a bit excessive and I I told one of the officers that too. He didn’t seem too amused but oh well… it’s just another night in El Segundo.

I just want to point out that happy hour is from 4−6pm. I was a little mislead by the other reviews and was expecting phenomenal drink deals all night long. That said, drinks were still fairly cheap at $ 5/beer. I came here at about 7pm on a weekday night. It was extremely empty, with only 3 – 4 other people other than the group I came with. Overall, it was a cozy, chill spot. Nothing special. Pool table. Big Buck Hunter. Jukebox. Plenty of parking outside though, which was great.

Went hear for drinks after work and handn’t been to this place for at least a year or so. From the days of Bad Dog Ale House next door I remember the clientele at Office Downtown being drunk by 4:00 pm and slobbering all over your shoulder as they tried to squeeze through to get another two-for-one budweiser. I am happy to say those days are long gone at OD. They finally wised up and raised their prices(although not by too much). Just enough to piss of the local drunks so they would go to Old Town Patio instead. I think this is the first time in the history of my Unilocalhood(I think I just made up a new word — Wikipedia listen up!) where I am happy about higher prices! I can’t believe I just said that. But seriously the atmosphere is very homey and the batender is super friendly. She was totally cool and would stop by and chat with us in between pouring beers and mixing drinks. Also, now that they have installed a multitude of TVs and brought in a pool table this place has definitely taken a step up… although I am still nostalgic for the fireplace, which has gone the way of the moa. By the way they have $ 1.00 bud light drafts after 8:00 pm on Thursdays, so time your visit appropriately.

*** The Office can make an olé garage look kinda posh … *** it’s a staight-up«simple dive bar» as Veronica describes … but damn, maybe i need a lil more complicated dive?(lol) it’s cheap for a reason … it’s gotta be … c’mon now!(haha) there is a reason why there are no posted pics of this spot. ;p Robert, you only beat me at pool because there’s like NO light? *** dude, i’m bringing my LED flashlight next time to shoot pool. ***

This lil bar has a lot goin’ on in a smallish space: Nice seating areas, in which to enjoy food from The Hummus Factory, next door. Reasonably priced drinks, made by a friendly barkeep. A little weak, tho. Good jukebox music, nice and loud, made us want to dance. A pool table!!! Woooohooooo! A decent table, 75 cents a game. We made full use of it.(Watch out for Sophia, btw, she kicked ass her first time ever shooting pool.) The Office has a great outdoor patio, and we made full use of that, too. We could see the planes taking off from LAX, tres cool. And, in addition to free street parking, there’s a nice big lot in front of the bar. I really liked this place. But they need to fix the light over the pool table. I almost shot at the 8 ball prematurely instead of the four ball, it was that dark.

There is nothing better than simplicity done right. The Office is a simple dive bar: a couple tv’s, a digital jukebox, and a pool table. Oh, and damn cheap drinks! In fact, I can’t even remember paying for my diet coke(yeah I know, I’m a BIG spender), not because I didn’t try, but because the bartender just walked away after handing it to me — and not even in a rude way. Yup, cheap is right. Plus, if you feel like gorging yourself on hummus and falafel from The Hummus Factory next door, they’ll even go order it for you and bring it back! And if you’re feeling a little fishy, the wonderful ES Fish Co is right next door as well. Honestly, this joint was so simple, I can’t even think of much else to say about it other than if I ever wanted a night of cheap drinks in a divey, friendly atmosphere with good food to follow, The Office would be right up there on the list.
