I have been using
since 1999. I couldn’t imagine having to go back to using the post office again for postage needs.
makes is so easy to avoid driving to the post office and standing in line. It’s an amazing service. If there is any negative to using
it is the monthly service charge but considering the time savings alone, it is well worth it.

is a very convenient method to use for shipping out items. You don’t have to wait in long lines at the post office and if you need any assistance with the software, the
team is very friendly and efficient with their service. I am very happy to have found out about this software, it saves me a lot of time!

These people are horrible, software sucks, customer service sucks, go thru
and stay away from these criminals !

They offered a free trial in exchange for credit card information. At the time, they did not tell me that my credit card will be charged unless I cancel the free trial. They merely said that the card will not be charged. I needed stamps, and they were supposedly a reputable business. Wrong.
I did not receive any trial product from them, and my card was charged $ 15.99 a month for the past three months outside of my knowledge. I recently found out, and tried to delete my credit card information from their website. They do not allow you to delete it, so they pretty much are holding onto my credit card information against my will.

Joke of a service. I used it for shipping packages sold through Amazon and eBay, hoping to take advantage of Stamps.com’s alleged discounts plus a free postage offer. Problems with this:
a) eBay and Amazon offer the exact same discounts. Amazon charges a small surcharge ($ 0.07 for media or first class, a bit more for Priority). eBay does not. I’d have to ship about 200 packages through Amazon every month for their surcharges to add up to Stamps.com’s $ 16/​month fee.
b) The free postage offer is a lie. I used the WTF offer code for «$ 50 of free postage,» but what they don’t tell you is that you don’t get that postage during the free trial. You receive it in $ 10 increments over the course of 5 months, starting with the first billed month. And it comes in the form of a voucher that you have to manually redeem. Ridiculous. It’s not free postage; it’s a temporarily discounted service. But even at $ 6/​month, this service isn’t worth using.
b) purchasing through eBay and Amazon is faster and infinitely easier. You can do it in your browser with most of the important info prefilled, rather than manually entering all the shipping info into a slow, clunky, confusing piece of external software that looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1995. Amazon and eBay also let you compare UPS and FedEx rates. Not with

c) With
, you can’t pay to ship an individual package. You have to buy general-​use postage in increments of $ 10, and then have the shipping costs for each package deducted from your postage balance. When it gets too low, you have to refill that balance. It’s an insane system, the only purpose of which is to keep you using
because you don’t want to waste that few bucks of balance you always have left over.
d) The customer service is horrible. When I emailed them about a login problem, they took 2 days to respond and then gave a canned response that didn’t answer my question at all. Because of this delay, they charged the recurring $ 16/​month fee — I’d been trying to login to cancel my account and was unable to do so in time. Even after logging in, I couldn’t cancel my account, because they force you to call during business hours to do that. Be prepared to wait on hold for quite some time, and to argue with a pushy salesperson (sorry, customer service rep) trying to convince you not to cancel. Even though the monthly charge was still in a pending state, they refused to cancel it or refund it. I’ll be disputing with Visa.

After reading reviews here and elsewhere, I was a little nervous to try the service. I manage the front office operations for a small tax firm and we’ve been looking for a system that’s way cheaper than our P-​B service.
is a great setup for most small offices, but in the end we had to cancel because many of our mailings require a dated postmark that is only available if you print directly on the envelope (which we don’t have the setup to do – all our printers are huge bulk sized monsters!), but other than that we loved the service. Printing the stamps was easy, applying for a refund when I messed up was easy, and their customer service was really great. I always dread going through the cancellation process for anything because of the «retention» questions and sales, but once the representative realized that there was one key portion that wouldn’t work for us, she quickly and happily canceled our service and refunded the .165 cents remaining on our account.
I’ll probably be looking in to
for my personal business, which I run in the off season. It’s easy to use (even for someone like me who gets easily confused when it comes to technology) and the fees are very straightforward as long as you read through the site and what you’re signing on for.

Totally a scam they charge you 15.99 a month and the way they do it by
not being forthcoming on initial sign up. they take advantage of hard
working people trying to get by and make a few extra dollars. Be careful
guard your credit card! and bank account!

I signed up for our business to save time as I was going to the post office 2 or 3 times a week, each time waiting in line for at least 10 to 15 minutes because I frequently send certified mail. I figured out how to send certified mail from our office, I even ordered a bundle of the certified forms to be delivered by
(free delivery) so I only had to send outgoing mail from the office, completely eliminating my need to visit the post office all together.
We’ve had the service for about 5 months now, and we have had a few issues arise such as label printing wrong and no option to reprint so we had to request a refund in the software and do it again. The refund took several days which was annoying but now the reprint option is available in the software. When i did have to call, customer service was helpful each time and resolved my issues. I maybe had one rude person out of about 10 phones calls to customer service.
Only thing I don’t like… customer service wait times. They can be lengthy. (20 minutes sometimes). Hire some more reps and get the wait time down!

They always have amazing customer service! I have called them over 6 times for various reasons and they’ve always helped me out and made the calls fun.

Great service, and excellent savings if you do lots of mailing… I can’t speak from a personal level, but from a business perspective,
is a great time saver!

Ive had
ever since i had a PC. Its Easy to use and NO MORE buying stamps in stores and Post office. I like Making my own Shipping Labels and Address labels

We tried their service in October 2011. We canceled after the free trial. It is not December 2015 and finally, after countless phone calls, we had to CLOSE OUR BANK ACCOUNT to stop their fees!
They responded saying they had a phone call with us agreeing to keep the service.
Nine dollars a month for years! How do we even get this back? Makes me sick.

After recently launching a small business I needed a way to print postage at home because I don’t have the time to deal with going to the post office. The benefit of being able to copy/​paste tracking numbers, hide postage cost on print out and convenience of dropping off my mail in the box on the way to run errands is well worth $ 15.99 a month for me. There are discounts on postage as well that I wouldn’t get from standing in line at the post office. All the 1 star reviews are valid because the $ 15/​mo wouldn’t be worth it if I was just printing a stamp here and there to mail letters or bills but for running a small business it’s been perfect. (PS buy cheap labels on Amazon if you don’t like the pricing on their site for labels!)
Also, had an issue with the scale they sent in my welcome kit weighting items ~0.5oz less that the post office’s scale and I was on the phone for less than 20 minutes with their great customer support to solve the problem and only 2 minutes of it was on hold. Top notch!

Perhaps if you are content paying 15.99 monthly for stamps and whatever, and don’t EVER require actual customer service, this could satisfy your needs.
I signed up today, not knowing the fee until after providing my credit card. I DID NOT hit submit and gasped at the 15.99 monthly fee. I usually do priority at
, print postage online and it’s easy. I can order pretty stamps from
for a 1.00 handling fee that are delivered rather quickly and in good order. Unfortunately, I needed 2.09 in postage and didn’t find a way to print that from

I immediately hunted on
for the cancellation page. Well, hello 1980’s. One must telephone within certain hours to cancel. Emails, however, flooded in from
welcoming me and much to my horror, even though I had never hit submit, there was an account on the website with my credit card telling me they would charge (first month may be free, or else it’s a 5.00 discount — not clear) in October and forever after.
I called at 10:58am.
At 11:22am the painful process ended, a confirming cancellation email received and I want that thirty minutes of my life back.
I’m cross and bitter. It still is 2015 isn’t it?
Be wary. It’s a public company with very good profits ($STMP) and oh, if only Amazon could give other business stuck in a time warp from deep in last century lessons in customer service
I would never recommend this and urge you to consider every other option.

I signed up on their website because the only way to see their website is to enter your info and a credit card #! This should have been my first ‘sign’!
Then I get a $ 15.99 on my credit card! When I called to tell them I’d like to cancel my account, some ‘slick’ sales people pass you along to each other, and keep trying the ‘sell’ you on staying with the service!
The only thing I could get out of them is that it’s easier to print stamps from home and you don’t have to run to the post office.
I guess the $ 15.99 is JUST to have an account with them! This does NOT include discounted stamps AS they advertise!

True, when I signed up for
I didn’t understand what it was truly meant for… evidently. All I wanted was an easy way to print off specific stamp amounts for the various odd size packages that I mail out, though it is only ²⁄₃ times a month. I thought when I gave them my card it was to use to buy the stamps, I would be buying from them… I definitely did not look close enough. I just realized that they have charged my card $ 15.99 for the last two months, for what? nothing. There is no way to cancel your account. I always love companies let you upgrade online, but make you call them to cancel And make you jump through hoops for 30 minutes and «oops» keep hanging up on you before you finally talk to a person who doesn’t want cancel your account but keeps arguing with you.
Don’t do it. Save yourself the time and trouble. Don’t do it! By the way they were on the phone, I fully expect that they will still charge me next month. I guess I’ll call my bank and try to have the charges stopped.

I truly feel that
is designed to best fit the needs of small businesses or people who do a lot of mailing. If you’re an individual who doesn’t mail much a month, then this service probably isn’t for you.
I work in a small law firm and
fits our mailing needs perfectly. We are able to print out postage on envelopes as well as on individual stamps. My only real gripe (which is hardly one at all) is that you do have to pay for the physical stamps (not just the postage) and mailing labels separately if you want to mail larger items. Also, depending on your printer, you may not be able to print out postage on envelopes with plastic windows because it will only melt the plastic.

Postage, but this cost differs on your needs
If you don’t have envelopes to print on, you will need to buy stamp sheets and paper, which have different costs, again, depending on your needs.
Considering that we were paying $ 100+ for Pitney Bowes’ postage service, I am very satisfied with the cost as well as how minimalistic this package is. You do get a free month trial, plus $$$ in postage and free stamps to start out.
The interface itself is very easy to use, and very self explanatory, but they do provide online video directions. The customer service via the telephone was also extremely helpful with questions we had about the services they offer.
If you’re a small business with a medium to high level of mailings in a given month, this is definitely the service for you.

is only for people who mail out packages! I mean more than 10 at a time and multiple times a month. So if you don’t and you did sign up, you should just really cancel your account and stop complaining.

Simmer down Unilocalers! The reason why most folks here are only giving a 1 star review is because they wanted something for free and didn’t understand what
can do for a person or business that does a ton of shipping and mailing. If you think about it, it is kinda of like FedEx or UPS because instead sending out FedEx or UPS, you are sending out stuff with the USPS. If you don’t normally use FedEx or UPS, then
isn’t right for you either.
To be honest,
is really for people who have a business and really really HATE going to the post office like me and standing in line to mail out like 10 packages at one time. If the line moved faster at the post office I wouldn’t be complaining because man, it is always slow at the post office. I wish there was fast past like D-​Land or had an option to make an appointment like the DMV.
If you have a small business and mail out more than 10 packages at a time, you would understand that is a pain in the booty to stand in line for more than 20+ mins because it is a waste of my fkin time. After you get into the front of the line and get help, there are so many stupid little labels and forms to fill out. Most of time, they say it wasn’t filled correctly and I have to redo the labels. While I am doing all of that crap at the post office I could be doing something more productive like finishing up my emails or even eating lunch.
At first when I signed up for
it was a little intimidating but I got over it quickly because it was really a no brainer. When you open up the software it gives you what category you would want to mail out, envelopes? packages? etc. then you can price compare like at the post office if First Class vs Priority vs Parcel Select would be the best bang for buck within the time frame you need it. Next, when you enter the address you can either print 1 label at a time or just load up a list of addresses so you can print a bunch of labels at the same time. After you print the labels, stick it on the box and tada! Next, make the mail carrier pick it up when they drop off your mail for the day. You don’t even have to drop it off at the Post Office.
There was one time I got an annoying message about a printer error but then I called their customer support. OMG! They are amazing! They had a friendly attitude, even listen to me complain for a few seconds and then helped me out. We worked together to figure out why my printer wasn’t working and minutes later I was printing my shipping labels out.
Yes, it does cost $ 15.99 a month but that cost is nothing compared to the time I am saving from going to the post office. Plus I can always deduct that amount on my taxes as a business expense.
I mean if you really want to cancel like what other people are saying on the other reviews, just do it within 4 weeks. But with anything, everyone should always do their homework before signing up for something. When is something ever free? huh?

I signed up needing a stamp, and then noticed there was a monthly fee associated with it, so I called to cancel. 10 minutes late I got an email confirmation saying my service was cancelled along with a final statement. Excellent!
So I go back to confirm this by logging in, finding that my credit card information is still on the website, along with a plan saying I’m going to be billed $ 15/​month. Nothing on my account of it being cancelled.
So I call again asking them to remove my credit card and personal information from the website. I dont want any account associated with their website.
The customer service rep told me that removing my information was impossible and there was nothing she could do or anyone I could talk to about it. She simply said, your account is closed, and while your information is on there and accessible, you won’t be charged.
How do I not have the power to close my own account from their site? Seems crazy.
While I have been repeatedly assured that I will not be charged, the whole situation leaves me with an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is a convoluted scam of a company. I shouldn’t have to spend 30 minutes on the phone to cancel something. Seems like a waste of resources. Nothing in this day should be this difficult.
