I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch each time the food came out fast and hot. I’ve had the grilled cheese with tomato bisque, spaghetti and pancakes with scrambled eggs, loved them all. The servers are also very nice and attentive.

I went to Marmalade for a business dinner on a weeknight and while the restaurant was mostly empty, the private room in the back was packed with a group there watching a presentation. This group must have taken most of the servers attention because our service was slow and unimpressive. I had the Bosc pear and Gorgonzola flatbread. It was just ok. I think it could have used a little more flavor and pzazz. You would think with toppings like pear and Gorgonzola you’d get a lot of flavor. Not so much with this. I also had a cup of soup that was fine. A basket of bread is served with dinner. From looking at their menu I think I’d much rather enjoy having breakfast here and not dinner.

First timer review! For appetizers, my family and I ordered the portobello mushroom fries and calamari. On par food, nothing mind blowing. I would give it a 7−8÷10. I ordered portebello Benedict aka watery vegetables and eggs. Idk how they cook the mushroom, but there was a lot of water coming out of this dish and there was already a little puddle of the water underneath the fruit bowl. Would not order again. If you’re a fan of eggs, just get the classic eggs Benedict and save your time.

Everything was so tasty and good! Service was great too! We thought it was just like a casual coffee/café and bakery but it was not. They serve the full menu of entrée, wine, and cocktails! Atmosphere was classic and the outside of city view was enjoyable :)

Good food. Amazing customer service. I had the bass wrap and it was over cooked. The manager personally made sure it was cooked right the second time and made sure I was happy with it. I would come back again.

Came here to treat myself after a workout. Since I was solo and wanted to eat promptly, I sat at the bar. I’ve been some of their other So Cal locations, their food is generally delicious. I love their deli salads. This was the first time for breakfast and I wanted something traditional. Corned beef hash and eggs. Fresh and tasty. This is more of a sit down place, better for solos but it was still a treat.

Good place to go to for brunch. I went during the week so it wasn’t crowded at all. I got the pineapple upside down pancake and boy was it delicious. I would go back just for that. Downside was that the pancake doesn’t come with anything so I had to order an extra side. I would go back. Very laid back environment. Server was attentive. Best part was the tvs played news and sportscenter so I was able to catch up on the world news and some football talk while I ate.

Great service wonderful food and great ambiance and you can fall right out to shop to death! We found it on the fly while visiting LA and what a great place to stumble into. Dorian was so sweet as our server and really has great food recommendations plus checking on the table on a continued bases.

I love marmalades café. I have been to any restaurants for breakfast and Marmalades café is by far one of the most consistent restaurants out there. I love eggs Benedict and usually make the correct 95% of the time which is amazing. Other restaurants are lucky to average 50% quality eggs Benedict. The vibe is homey and have never had bad service.(I sit at the bar usually so the bartender is readily available.) I look forward to many more visits and would recommend this restaurant to any breakfast foodie. Thanks Marmalades Café.

Visited this location on a whim(I’ve been to one in Sherman oaks years ago) last Wednesday. They had this lovely Christmas tree by the hostess stand that made the whole place looked really festive. We were seated quickly, luckily before the lunch rush. Our waitress, Crystal, took our drinks as soon as we were settled We ordered: The corned beef hash — 3 poached eggs with hollandaise sauce over beef hash with a side of potatoes– and it was so good! So filling! Salmon eggs benedict, which I’m told was delicious and pancakes the sizes of my head. They were huge! Crystal was so attentive, offering refills on coffee, despite it getting busy really quickly. Within the span of ½ an hour a lot of people arrived but the manager came out to make sure everything was running great. I noticed her waking around and checking on all the customers She came by to our table and made sure we were taken care of. Honestly Claudia, the manager, was so sweet and kind. She was doing her best to make sure we had an enjoyable meal. Overall my visit to Marmalade Café was a great one and if I’m ever in the area I’ll definitely drop by again.

First of all, great job to the service staff, they were wonderful. The hostess was excellent, I can’t say enough about her, I wish I asked her name. She was pleasant, friendly and checked in with us periodically. Our waitress was great as well. Very informative when asked about the menu and drink selection, great suggestions. Her helpers that served the food and filled out water glasses, great job. The kitchen staff are always amazing. Delicious braised short ribs, amazingly tender and moist. The grilled salmon, another great choice. The flat steak, wow! Thank you for a pleasant dining experience.

We’ve been to the this location 4 times now. It seemed time to post my new review! The Resturant itself is nicely layed out, great bar with a few big screens for those looking to share a drink & catch a game. Incidentally the screens can be seen from just about any table! Oh & yes, this is not a sports bar that serves food! This is a Resturant with a nice bar that just so happens to have a few large screens ta boot! Ok ok, on to the rest of the story! Well they have a nice selection on there early bird, starting with soup or salad, 6 or 7 entrees and a few dessert selections as well! A tip, try the bread pudding, its really very good & all for $ 15.95. Not bad, the meals are well prepared. As most of my reviews cover, the staff, cleanliness, service, restrooms and crowd. Staff, very warm, engaging and do a nice job. Resturant is clean, I like the layout! Service is fine, perhaps a few more trips over to check it in with the quest! Men’s room tonight needed tending to, as there were paper towels starting to overflow and water all over the sink. Lastly the crowd, a mix of Business types, older and young, families as well as couples such as my wife and I just out looking not to cook that night. Know what I mean As mentioned much earlier, this wasn’t our first time and as memory serves, this is pretty much as remembered so by all accounts we’ll be back yet Marmalade won’t be amongst our regular stops. They keep improving! Big difference since our 1st visit! All in a 3& ¾ out of 5 stars.

Made reservations at noon for a Sunday brunch at this spot. The reservations were for noon, but I got there about 15 minutes early. HOWEVER! I got seated anyway. So as I waited for my party, my server gave me two menus — one for the special dishes and a regular menu. I had a difficult time kind of deciding what I wanted since nothing really appealed to me. When the rest of my party arrived, I was told there should have been a brunch menu. Sure enough — there was. We had to go up front to go get them.(So, it makes me wonder why that wasn’t given to me in the first place!) My fault for not remembering the name of my server, BUT, while deciding on what to grub on, he asked if we wanted drinks. I decided to try their bacon bloody mary because… well. Bacon. Come on. Got my bloody mary — BUT!!! NOBACON!!! What the!!! So, I flagged my server and pointed out I didn’t get any bacon to go with my drink. He was apologetic and said he’ll bring it right out. He brought out three pieces of crispy bacon. So… I basically got a bloody mary with a side of bacon. I decided on the corned beef hash with poached eggs. Requested for the hollandaise sauce on the side(I don’t like my food drowning in ANYTHING) with a side of fruit. As I began to eat it, I felt it was missing something… so I ordered a side of toasted sourdough. I didn’t realize until AFTERTHEFACT that my meal was suppose to come with choice of toast.(I’ll take the fault for not double checking the menu if it came with it or not.) So, guess what… I got charged an extra $ 2.99 for it. It was alright. Nothing special. The only thing that made it special is the company, but still overall okay experience. I probably wouldn’t come back anytime soon, though,(especially with the bloody mary and toast gaffe.) I mean, really. There are a lot of other places within a half-mile radius that can compete with this place.

I liked how this place was in a fun plaza-which also means that it’s always busy! Make reservations ahead of time! I came here for brunch/lunch and had the tomato soup and caesar salad combo. The soup was ‘eh, but the salad was fresh and tasty. The white tea was also good(they bring a whole box of teas for you to choose from).

Came here for a nice breakfast with the hubbie. I had the heart healthy breakfast and he had the Gilson’s scramble. The HH breakfast was much bigger than I expected and filled me up completely; it was $ 12.50 so I think the cost matched the amount of food received. It came with scrambled egg whites and grilled chicken with basil and other seasonings. They were pretty good, but needed some salt and pepper. It also came with two 7-grain pancakes topped with some fruit and granola. Yum, yum! The scramble was better than expected, says the husband. With the scramble, you have the choice of bread and potatoes or fruit. That was around the same price. In general, this café offers higher quality breakfasts and many more healthy options than a regular breakfast restaurant would have. It is a bit on the expensive side for breakfast, but it’s nice to splurge every once in awhile.(= There is a large parking lot for the café, so parking is never an issue. There’s also seating outdoors, which is nice. The service was excellent. One more thing to note, they have a decent morning cocktail menu, complete with different types of bloody Mary’s and mimosas.

My friend and I came in for dinner on Saturday night. We were seated right away even though they were pretty busy. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer. It was just your standard Calamari, a little chewy but good anyways. For dinner, I ordered the turkey meatloaf and my friend ordered the steak sandwich with Ceasar salad. The mashed potatoes were the real highlight of my dish. They used to have a chicken meatloaf and I actually preferred that to the turkey. My friend enjoyed her sandwich and said the steak was perfectly cooked. The service was excellent and everyone was working together to be sure that all the tables had what they needed. I’m looking forward to trying more menu items on my next visit.

I’ve been here a few times and this place reminds me of a nicer Mimi’s Café/Marie Callenders. The food here is good and consistent. Service has always been very nice as well. While dining her I got the Marm Burger which has filet, sirloin, and short rib as the patty. It was a good solid burger that came with Parmesan seasoned fries. My girlfriend got the steak and Gorgonzola sandwich. I got this the last time I was here and would definitely recommend it. I was planning on getting this before I walked in but saw a picture of the Marm burger and thought to try something different. I really like this sandwich and would come back for it. Overall this is a solid place to stop in that has a good variety of things to choose from if you are having a hard time figuring out what to eat.

DONOTCOMEHEREUNLESSYOUHAVEIMMENSEPATIENCE. Came to the El Segundo plaza to do some shopping and came upon what seemed like a gem. Modern looking building with a delightful outdoor patio. Perfect for a sunny Saturday lunch. Seated outside with no wait, fantastic. Our server came by, greeted us, got our drink orders. Ok we’re on our way to a wonderful experience(so I think!) We ordered a Bloody Mary, coffee, and waters. One look at the menu and I salivated. The options all looked SO amazing. I agonized but I finally decided on the bacon, mushroom, spinach, goat cheese frittata. Our server finished dropping off items at another table and said«I’ll be right back with your drinks» — but we told him we were ready to order so he took down our orders.(The big marm & my frittata) After about 5 minutes I noticed, we still don’t have our drinks. Waited some more. No server in sight. So I flagged down our neighboring table’s server to ask her to find our server… JUST as he surfaced with our drinks. As he puts the overflowing bloody(and messy) mary and the coffee down, he says«let me confirm your order.» HOLDUP… All this time he hasn’t even put in our order?! … Now I’m straight HANGRY. So he confirms the big marm and my bacon mushroom fritata. Turns around and brings back some bread as a peace offering. With a block of frozen butter. And no utensils… At this point, I’ve just accepted our horrible service and made a mental note this guy is getting a terrible tip. FINALLY… The food arrives!!! But oh wait, I have no bacon or mushroom in my bacon and mushroom frittata. I got the garden veggie frittata instead. SIGH. I’m starving at this point so I give in, I don’t even say anything to our server. I sadly dig in. to the bland, watered down, bacon-less frittata that I didn’t order. :( After this… The only thing that could fix my day was cute kittens. Which, we did go see at Petsmart’s adoption across the way. OHHH and the ironic thing is. They were passing out flyers soliciting Unilocal reviews. Well here you go!

For being a chain, Marmelade Café is ok. I think being a small, local chain helps, you can still oversee everything better. They send out coupons monthly if you join their email club which makes the prices pretty fair. They have great menu items at breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open 7 days a week. It can get pretty packed, best is to go at off times, usually early. I love their salads and sandwiches, everything is always fresh. Service can be hit or miss, usually takes a while for food to come out too, still nice stop in the area.
