LA West Elite Event at Soul Cycle MB

Pretty cool for an elite event where you aren’t getting free food and drinks. Everything went great from signing up to checking in, & getting on with the class. After coming to Soul Cycle I can see why people would rather come to an actually spin gym instead of a normal gym that offers random spin classes. Better facilities, better instructors, better everything.

Another great West LA Unilocal Elite event! I was so excited to get into this event because I LOVE Soul Cycle, but don’t always get to go. Glad I got to check out the new spot in Manhattan Beach! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The instructor was super enthusiastic and it was a great 45 minute class!

This was my first Elite event in LA, and it was awesome! I’ve been wanting to try Soul Cycle for so long after hearing so many people rave about it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The MB location is small but nice and convenient – easy (and free) parking, free lockers (and the lockers have USB plugs that you can use to charge your phone!!), nice bathroom/​showers, friendly staff. The instructor, Jake, was great – he had a ton of energy and inspired me to push myself. His music was on point, too. All in all, a great event! The free water bottles and green juices at the end = cherry on top.

I have been wanting to try Soul Cycle since it opened in Los Angeles, as I love out door cycling and electronic music, and Soul Cycle conveniently provides both! The Soul Cycle at the new Point shopping center in Manhattan Beach fits in amongst fitness apparel shops and healthier food choices. Parking is plentiful, with preferential parking for Clean Air Vehicles (you lucky newer car people). Parking is also FREE.
The cyclists in Soul Cycle had pretty low energy once on the bikes, but the instructor kept up his enthusiasm for the entire 45 minutes. I did my best to bounce to that beat (tap it back!), sometimes proving more difficult than other times as the class was tough enough for beginners to be somewhat challenged, but not impossible for us to keep up. It was fun!
The facilities were spotless, with free disposable razors, cotton swabs, tampons, and lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner for the showers. There were only 3 showers, but I suppose that is enough for each class as long as people don’t take way too long while showering.
Lockers were easy to use, beautiful, and had usb hook up for device charging! Stellar move, Soul Cycle!
Free Unilocal swag as always was appropriate– cold water aluminum bottles, BPA Free! I would have of COURSE loved Soul Cycle swag, but maybe that’s against the rules somehow.

I was fortunate enough to experience this event and get my workout in for the day! As a fairly active/​athletic person, I didn’t think the cycling class was going to be too difficult, but boy was I in for a treat. A was constantly out of breath and pushing myself to stay with it. The instructor was amazing and motivating with great tips and music choices. The class was fun/​upbeat/​energetic as other Unilocalers have mentioned in their reviews. The studio was extremely clean with individual lockers (with charging stations inside), towels, Soul Cycle merchandise you can purchase and to top it off, cool shoes! I was impressed with the event and the opportunity to try Soul Cycle and will definitely be looking forward to signing up for some classes!

I’ve been wanting to check out a Soul Cycle class for a while so it was a perfect Sunday afternoon Unilocal event!
This studio is in a new shopping center that has tons of stuff to do and plenty of parking. It’s a perfect location if you are doing a class with a friend and want to grab a bite after or if you are squeezing in a class during lunch or after work.
The studio is very clean and perfectly set up. They provide towels and bike shoes. They have easy drop off bins for both items once you’re done. Lockers with charger ports inside and self set locks. I didn’t check out the bathroom but I’m sure that was just as nice and convenient.
The staff was very friendly and helped all first time Unilocalers get set up on the bikes.
The class was great. The music was pumping and oh boy did I sweat! I left drenched and feeling great. I’ve taken many spin classes before but what I loved about Soul Cycle (besides the great music and motivating instructor) was that we used arm weights and did some drills that definitely made the class feel like a full body work out.
Overall it was a great experience and I hope to make this part of my weekly work out.

I’ve heard about Soul Cycle through fitness magazines and friends. When I saw this Unilocal event, I knew I had to sign up!
This new Soul Cycle location is located in the new shopping center in Manhattan Beach with FREE parking. Upon check in, all of us received complimentary Smartwater, biking shoes and a quick tour of the facilities. They provide lockers to store your personal belongings. The women’s restroom is clean with showers and amenities (lotion, hair ties, personal hygiene products, etc). I should have brought an extra change of clothes to take advantage of their showers.
I usually don’t like spinning classes, but the class at Soul Cycle changed my mind. The class included 45 minutes of spinning and light weights training to fun and upbeat music. There were quite a bit of newbies in the class, so the friendly staff walked around to make sure our bikes were adjusted correctly. The atmosphere reminded me of a club with the dim lights and club like music. Surprisingly, the 45 minutes flew by! I now understand the Soul Cycle appeal!
At the end of the class, we were all treated to suju cold pressed juices. Thanks Unilocal for this fun and interactive event!

Great location in the new Point shopping center. Plenty of open parking. The studio was clean, lockers have a USB port in them and the lock built in. Schwinn biking shoes were presented along with towels, water, and a refresher after.
Bathrooms are fully stocked with everything (shavers, q-​tips, etc) and are very clean. The whole studio was well lit and very well organized.
The class itself was amazing! High energy workout with great, instructor. Mood lighting, great music, and that feeling of getting a great workout in. After your workout, were plenty of great places just outside to eat at. Thanks a lot Unilocal,very grateful that you had an event to help us work off all the food we love to enjoy!

Awesome event! This was my first Unilocal elite event and I was very pleased. Everything ran very smoothly, and it was great to workout instead of gorge on food, which I would expect from other Unilocal events. Complimentary water, cycling shoes, Unilocal water bottle and juice after the class were all perks. I loved the class and the music. Jake was great with helping us get set up on the bikes and making sure we had good form. Can’t wait for more events!

A fun and healthy way to spend Sunday afternoon! Today’s soul cycle class was energetic, high intensity, and fun. The music was upbeat and 45 minutes flew by. I can already tell I will be sore tomorrow. The staff at soul cycle checked us in quickly and got us situated with shoes, water, and our placement on the bike. This was really beneficial and helped my form. The class itself was really fun. Loved the music! The facility is clean and has tons of lockers available for riders to use. Can’t wait to come back!

It was a definitely a great alternative to some of the Unilocal Elite events I have attended. I got to get my workout in for the day and hang out with my fellow Unilocalers. Everything was smooth and easy to check-​in and get our cycling on for the day. Complementary water and cycling shoes was a great addition as well, especially for a noob like me who didn’t know cycling shoes exist. Free lockers to store your stuff as well, especially since they do not allow phones in the cycling room. I am glad they don’t. It prevents phones from becoming a distraction and allowing everyone to be focused in the class.
Jake was a great instructor. It was my first Soul Cycle class and I can see how people can get drawn to this community. Jake was welcoming but at the same time had the ability to push yourself to cycle harder and faster. His music was on point with a mixture of everything. I already knew it was a going to be a great class when the first song he played was «Pony» by Genuine. Next thing you know, the 45 minutes is up and the class is over. I am definitely going to feel the soreness tomorrow, but it sure was great. Kudos to a great event!

Jake was a great instructor who changed up the routine and made the class fly by. It was awesome to grab some juice at the end, too — my apple/​banana/​kale/​grass drink was quite delicious! I had a great time and a fantastic workout — I think I need to turn that dial to the right and push myself harder next time…
