Hyatt Place Los Angeles/LAX/El Segundo

It was a nice room with ok breakfast. It was close to freeway entrance and free parking. Housekeeping needs to clean showers better. There was a bar of old soap in shower. All front desk said was nasty no apologies

This is a superb hotel near LAX. The facility was spotless and an excellent staff. The airport shuttle service worked like a charm (just be sure to book it in advance). I’ll be back.

It was pleasant stay after two room changes. First room was handicapped. Second room had a cockroach crawling into the sofa. Third room was fine.
Breakfast was well catered for the large busy long weekend crowd. Close to airport made it convinient to return car rental and hop on plane. They also have ²⁴⁄₇ shuttle collection from airport. BEST OF ALL this is one of very few hotels with FREE PARKING.

Conveniently located near LAX. Unlike other hotels nearby, the Hyatt does not charge for their continental breakfast nor parking. Offers shuttle service, gym, swimming pool, computers to print your boarding pass and a laundry room.
Room was very clean and modern. Sectional couch that turns into sofa bed. Mini-​fridge, coffee maker, etc. Even though hotel is very close to LAX, I did not hear a single plane while staying in my room.
Will definitely stay here again when visiting LA.

Checked in late and had to leave early. Everyone was wonderful and helpful. Special thanks for the people who retrieved my Airline Ticket !!

Yes, this place has really nice rooms and spaces. The people who work here are very friendly! Okay so those are the Pros!
Cons: Wifi in this is hotel, absolutely horrible it disconnects and the strength is nonexistent!
The bathroom doors are glass which amplify sound!

I really can’t complain about this place. It exceeded my expectations for sure. There was a short wait to check-​in, as there was only one person working the front desk and she was helping another customer when I arrived. When it was my turn, she was very friendly and pleasant. They have a bar in the lobby open till midnight (I was there on a Sunday, not sure if it’s later on weekends). They also had a 24-​hour snack bar. Breakfast is included as well, though I didn’t get a chance to stick around and try it in the morning.
My room ended up being an upgrade because of what they had available at the time. It was more of an apartment than a hotel room. It had a large living room with sectional couch, a full kitchen complete with a dishwasher, stove top, microwave, full refrigerator and freezer, etc. as well as a dining table and chairs. Then there was a large bathroom and a large bedroom. I was really impressed with both the size and cleanliness of the suite. All of that for only $ 135 (including tax). I was really impressed.
The hotel is also dog friendly. I believe there is a $ 75 fee for having a dog. I have a certificate for my dog, as he’s an emotional support animals, so I didn’t have to pay a fee. There is also plenty of free, easy parking in the parking lot. I assume most people will have a car in LA so that’s a big plus. It’s conveniently located near LAX and I believe they offer a free shuttle to/​from as well. This is not the place to stay if you’re looking for a location near things to do, as it’s in an industrial area and not walkable to shopping/​dining/​entertainment. But if you are in need of a clean, reasonably priced room near the airport, this is the place to go!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I needed a hotel close to LAX for two nights and read previous reviews on a few travel sites to help me make my selection. I am glad I did, because not only did I get a good deal with my Hyatt points, I really enjoyed my stay.
Pros: Great location close to LAX, easy access to the whole South Bay via rental or Über, easy access to the Metro to get to a large part of LA, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast (which I slept through each day — LOL), complimentary wifi, updated rooms with really comfy bedding, large bathroom area.
Cons: None that I experienced. Other folks in the Unilocal reviews complained of some Metro noise, but I requested a quiet room and I got one. Really quiet!
I also want to say that Donovan at the front desk was really helpful. While traveling, I called ahead because I has a very late arrival and he made sure I was taken care of. The next night when I asked to have my check-​out extended an hour, he remembered my name and room number and took care of everything. Now that is service!
Bonus points for being walking distance to the Kings practice facility — Go Kings Go!
I’ll definitely be coming back when I need to be by LAX. It really is a nice hotel.

I’ve stayed here a few times now, mostly due to the convenient location. However, its a newer hotel and the rooms are nice and modern. All the rooms have a «living room» area with a couch and ottoman. Wifi, parking and breakfast are all free. Some of the other hotels in the area charge you a small fortune for parking! Despite the proximity to the airport I didn’t notice much airport noise. You do get a bit of train noise, but it didn’t bother me. I lucked out on this last visit and got upgraded to a suite (they must thing I’m somebody!). The suite was easily the size of if not bigger than many LA apartments. It had a kitchen with a 2 burner stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. It made me wish I was staying longer! I will definitely be back!

Above average hotel but not worth the price. Very convenient if you need to be by the airport but not for much else. For $ 200/​night though I do expect more. A true 4 or 5 star hotel in the heart of Seattle can be found for $ 180/​night or less and we’re talking luxury… this hotel, while sufficient, is nothing more than a comfortable place to sleep with a friendly staff.
If the price were closer to the $ 120−130/night range then I would give a 4 star rating.

Pros: early check in (2 pm), 24 hours of free wifi, free parking, large gym with more than 4 treadmills, breakfast is included and clean/​large rooms.
Cons: nothing around, loud light rail train, super loud upstairs neighbors that stomped and yelled at all hours, and to get picked up from LAX you have to call once you arrive at your terminal.
Tips: ask for a room away from the light rail train.

Great location near LAX/​El Segundo which is between Santa Monca and Newport Beach that allows exploration of the LA experiences.

My wife and two friends wanted to visit Los Angeles for a weekend getaway as we enjoy visiting the area now and then. Our friend had some free Hyatt rooms available since he is a member of their club. There are a few Hyatt hotels we could have stayed at inclduing the Andaz in Hollywood, Hyatt Regency Century City or Hyatt House in El Segundo. We chose the Hyatt Place because it was located on the west side near LAX which is away from the hustle and bustle of the main LA area. It is conveniently located near the ¹⁰⁵⁄₄₀₅ freeways and by some of the places we wanted to visit such as Hermosa Beach and Santa Monica. Lastly, it was the only Hyatt option that offered free parking, free breakfast and free wi-​fi which is always a plus.
We arrived just before 12pm on a Saturday. Parking was easy as there were plenty of spots available near the front lobby. The area was very quiet which we prefer. We were able to check-​in immediately which was nice instead of having to wait until 3pm. Our room had a king while our friends room across from us had two queens. Both rooms were pretty spacious with a couch enough for 3 – 4 people to hang out. Our rooms also had a refrigerator to help keep our beverages cool. DirecTV was offered in-​room with the HBO channels available. The double-​blinds were nice to choose between reducing the light or blocking it out completely. Shower size was pretty big as you don’t feel cramped. The sliding glass door for the bathroom looks nice but I would prefer a normal door so I don’t have to worry about it slamming. All of us enjoyed the early breakfast as we fueled up before heading out on Sunday. I slept well on the mattress but my wife had some trouble sleeping comfortable on their pillows.
My friend who booked the rooms also said check-​out was a breeze. All four of us would stay there again.

am loving the New Hyatt Corporation. This is the second Hyatt Hotel I stayed at and absolutely love it. The corporation outdid themselves with very new, clean hotels at a very affordable price range (so far… lol).
The design and décor are almost exactly alike at the one I stayed at by L.A.X. and the one here in TJ, Mexico.
Hyatt is comfortable, clean, chic, and stylish place to stay at. The room has a small living room area with a long couch and coffee table for your relaxation and an office work space with a table and chair. Towards the back is a separate sleeping area with the comfy bed.
They have free Wi-​Fi and an office area in the lobby with computers and printer. They also have a cocktail/​coffee bar/​kitchen dining area in the lobby and in the morning in includes free continental breakfast at the kitchen.
The hotel is located on Nash Street, a very quiet industrial area.

Great New hotel. (opened in 2012) in a great location.
Close to the airport but in El Segundo so the tax rate is lower.
I worked with Vicky in the group sales department and she was so sweet and very accommodating.

Love love love the Hyatt brand! Very economical between 79 – 200 a night and always seems to deliver clean and comfortable rooms.
In regards to the LAX location… This is a great location in relation to the airport and offers free parking as well as a shuttle that will take or pick you up to the airport. The hotel itself has 24 hour food and drink options and is not stellar, but much more gourmet than Carl’s Jr at 3am…
All rooms are suites with a comfortable couch that turns into a bed and the beds are super comfortable.
The wifi for the hotel is consistently pretty fast. The televisions are nice and all setup with direct tv so you never have to worry about finding a channel.
Downstairs they have an airport screen with all of the upcoming flights and a sitting area that makes waiting for a shuttle comfortable. Then right beside this are several computers that you can use to navigate the web or print something out.
Breakfast is just okay and the coffee is probably the worst thing about the place. They use a pretty miserable bean and the lack of taste is notable in each sip, but it beats the days inn econo lodge smudge of coffee. With all that aside it is a great place to stay near the airport!!!

This hotel, located next to LAX, was a surprisingly great stay. The front desk service was superb — the guy who checked us in was very friendly and social and offered great knowledge about where to go for dinner. Since the hotel is located right next to the train station, we took a little adventure two stops down to avoid LA traffic and got dinner through the front desk’s advice. Good decision and it was a fun adventure!
Next, I entered the room and was shocked and how CLEAN this place is! I read online that this place is fairly new so that’s such a great bonus. The cleanliness was an amazing feeling and the décor was comfortable. Our room, a suite, had sooooo much room.
One of things that made me really like this place is that if you forgot something, you can either borrow it or buy it for cheap! Forgot your toothpaste? No worries! Head down to the front desk and they’ll give you a travel sized for free. Forgot batteries for whatever reason? No worries, they’ll sell it to you for cheap! They also offer other things such as Advil, curling iron or hair straightener, weights/​dumbbells for borrow or sale! There’s a little pamphlet located in the front desk that tells you everything.
The front desk area also has a bar/​food place where folks can buy a snack or a drink. We bought a delicious wine by the glass recommended by the lady as well as a pesto wrap which was delicious! A microwave was available to heat it up in the lobby. Later that night we bought a cookie for a late night snack — their systems were down so they gave everyone free food at this time which was a perk :)
Lastly, the free breakfast in the morning is always a great addition. I love free breakfasts. This hotel’s has theirs from 6−10am (ends at 9:30am on weekdays). Granted, the breakfast didn’t have an amazing selection of food and I believe it could have been better. Eggs are a breakfast staple, yet we did not have any that day. I did like the grapefruits though!
Now onto the negatives:
— There is one lady who works there, I can’t remember her name, who is REALLY really slow at doing everything. That is about it. She will stay on the phone forever, and it looks like she is just chatting.
— I found it slightly difficult to open the door to the bathroom at times lol, but maybe I am just weak and tiny!
— The towels smell OFF. I dont know what it is, but the towels in my room, ALL OF THEM, smelled faintly like they had been sitting in a restaurant kitchen so it has that lingering «kitchen» smell. All of them were like that. Not sure if I just had an unlucky room or what?
Overall, loved the stay here. Would recommend it, but bring your own towels or something.

Loved this place! I stayed in the double queen suite for one night and then upgraded to the executive king suite on the last night. It was my birthday weekend and I must say I picked the right hotel!
