Established in 2015.

Founder Drew Boyles has long understood the unmet need for a convenient and environmentally responsible household hazardous waste removal service. Drew has operated 1−800-GOT-JUNK? franchises in multiple cities in the US since 2011 and until recently had no choice but to turn customers’ household hazardous waste away.

Drew and his partner, Eric Busch, are avid surfers and environmental stewards who share a long term vision of actually reducing the amount of hazardous waste that is on our planet.

Drew Boyles is an entrepreneur and community leader with a broad background in management consulting and corporate leadership. Drew has led at Brunswick Corporation, Starbucks Coffee and Andersen Management Consulting, as well as advised many large and small companies.

Drew has been a 1−800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in multiple states in California and Illinois since 2004. He as been a franchisee of You Move Me since 2013. He started Crypt Cases, a patented collapsible storage case as well as Haz Away Today.

Drew has served in various leadership capacities with Entrepreneurs’ Organization, including President of the Los Angeles Chapter, US West Area Director, the US West Membership Director and West Regional Director. Drew is a Community Board Member of ESMoA and serves as Chairman of the El Segundo Economic Development Advisory Council. Drew was Co-​Chairperson of the Surfrider Foundation Malibu /​Santa Monica Chapter.

I headed to California to empty out a house that had years worth of hazardous waste that had never been dealt with. Before leaving I was able to arrange my appointment for hazardous waste removal online and then Val called me back to confirm and to find out my details and make sure the pick up would be handled correctly. They were prompt and efficient and I would definitely recommend them if you have many pounds of waste and don’t have the means to haul it all to your local recycling center.

Haz Away was wonderful. I had over 50 paint cans to dispose of. Other businesses only take 20 gallons at a time. I don’t mind paying per pound, since they pick up and dispose. The guys who came were extremely helpful and courteous. I would recommend to anyone looking to rid their house of toxic paints and chemicals but don’t want to spend the time looking for drop off centers that only take a fraction of what you want to dispose of. Thanks for a great service and saving me the backbreaking work of lugging this stuff all over town!

It’s amazing how much junk you can accumulate in a few years and even more amazing of how much paint and household waste gets shoved into nooks and crannies in your garage.
These guys were great! Came out, weighed the material and removed it in 30 minutes. I was surprised to learn I had over 350 lbs of hazardous waste. It piles up fast. The guys on the truck were friendly, efficient and very professional. One of the guys was a fellow Navy veteran and we swapped sea stories while they worked. That was an added benefit. All in all, I would recommend this service to anyone who needs to get rid of any household hazardous waste.

This was a FANTASTIC Service. They came out and removed all the Household Hazardous Waste that had been stored in my shed for over 10 years. Tested anything «Unknown» and found something highly Toxic — I have No Idea what it was ! I love the fact that they are disposing of these items properly.
