We can spend all day long talking about us and our clients, the benefits, the cuts, the trims but… we have to do our best… work and get you the best cut in town in beautiful El Segundo, CA! Surf in the Pacific Ocean and drive great classic cars.

History

Established in 2004.

Our sunrise began 6 years ago in august we used to work at Archie’s barber shop which was a block away from this shop. Our very own local have branded our name as the very best haircuts in town and I want to thank all my loyal customers who have fallowed me for long surf ;) and to all you new customers welcome to the new wave ;)

I’ve been in the barber business for 18 years learned from my mother after school went to work for italian in which he was my teacher and learned the italian style

Someone said that «only a surfer knows the feeling». With «no waves, no glory». All we know is «when in doubt, paddle out». For some, «life’s a beach», for others, «life’s a wave». Don’t forget: «a bad day surfing is better than a good day working».

Absolutely the worse place I’ve even been for a simple fade. Asked for a skin 1 – 2 fade and Tony was my barber. Uneven, had to point out several flaws. Really the worst 22 $ I’ve ever spent, and I cut hair for my friends unprofessionally and do a much better job than what was done here. I don’t know about other barbers or maybe other types of cuts but this was by far the worst fade ever. Don’t go.

I wanted to get a fade done and the guy who’s doing the cuts this morning told me to come back tomorrow when George is here. I wanted a basic fade and he was afraid to do my hair. Lame. Now off to find another place to do my hair today.

Both George and Tina provide great haircuts in this little hidden gem. You may need to wait a bit, as they don’t rush through their customers. Instead they take the time that is required to give a precision cut that has their customers leaving satisfied in knowing they received quality service. And while they may charge a few bucks more than many nearby shops, considering the return on investment, I think it is worth it to fork out the few extra dollars to make sure it’s getting done right.

I prefer barber shops. There’s nothing more comfortable than settling into a place you like, relaxing and getting a haircut.
I found George’s about six months ago. I’m getting to know El Segundo and like the Main Street USA vibe. And, George’s has a comfortable blend of beachiness and rock n roll. Good music always playing.
I’ve been going to Tina the whole time. I’ve got difficult to cut hair and Tina does a good job of creating some order among the curls and grey bristle. I definitely would recommend Tina or George. Even if it makes my wait longer.

went to georges today because, well it was my only option with the time I had today. I will list the positives and negatives and let you decide.
Wait= got seen within 5 min plus
Customer Service= George cut my hair and was friendly and cordial. plus
Haircut= can’t complain after seeing it at home, pretty decent job. plus
PRICE= 20 bux? heres where I have a problem. I gave him 5 bux tip because well I didn’t want him to get pissed off for anything less. I thought they should have charged 15 tops for the basic cut I got. negative
SPACE= very small place about the size of a large bathroom. You have to sit there with 2 other people getting there haircut facing you about 5 ft away.
Honestly, it kind of felt like a place better suited for being a tatto parlor then a hair cut place but thats just my opinion.
Safe to say next time I get a cut I will be back to my reg spot that charges 14 and is more professional.

I walk in this shop today (for the first time) and an older man with white hair asks me what I would like to get. I responded with a 2 – 1 fade. He tells me he doesn’t know how to do that or that Gloria is better with that type of haircut and that she will be back Monday.
How can a barber not know how to do a fade? This does not make sense. Not good for customer service AT ALL — especially if this was my first time. I think the man was too interested in his baseball game that he wanted to watch that instead of cut my hair.

Anyone looking for a great men’s cut, look no further than George’s Barber Shop in El Segundo. Tony is incredible and always has availability during the weekends when it seems to be difficult to get in other spots around the South Bay. What’s even better are the prices — $ 15 for a buzz cut that includes razor shave. You just can’t find that any place else. Excellent service, accessible location, and great music to pass the time. I recommend Tony to anyone looking for quality work.

I hope George reads this because I like his establishment.
I’ve been to George’s for about 10 haircuts or so. The first few were great and I decided to be a regular, however the quality control on weekdays has gone downhill in my opinion. Tony and his female coworker are the regulars on staff during the afternoons and are friendly and enjoyable while in the chair, however for whatever reason, they don’t seem to be paying much attention to the job at hand. I’ve come away with uneven sideburns, specifics not followed, and the latest mistake: my fade was the correct length on one side of my head, and double the length on the other side. Another time, the Irish employee gave me a neck shave without asking, quite an underhanded way of adding an extra 5 dollars to my bill.
Until the issue of quality-​control is addressed, I can’t justify repeatedly paying 20 dollars for absent-​minded haircuts. Hopefully George can fix these issues and I can once again start going here regularly, because i would like to.

George’s Barber shop is the best in LA! The owner and namesake, George Barreto, is an awesome barber/​stylist whose talent is only surpassed by his charm and the care he gives to his customers. I’ve spent over $ 100 for a hair cut at the high end Beverly Hills salons, and for a cool $ 20 bill at George’s I get a better hair cut and it’s a lot more fun.
While this might look like a traditional barber shop from the outside, on the inside you will find free WiFi, plasma screen TV’s with videos playing, a cool beach vibe with surf inspired décor, three hair cutting stations, and a really friendly and clean environment that is great for guys and the whole family.
I recommend making a reservation with George himself, although the other two barbers are great as well, and allow half an hour as George takes his time to make sure you look perfect and get exactly the cut you want. Saturdays get packed and there are no reservations, so the best time I’ve found to sit with George is in the mornings during the week.
George takes cash and credit/​debit cards. A traditional cut is only $ 20 and George offers discounts for the military, seniors, and kids under 15. Once you try George you won’t want to go anywhere else again for a hair cut!

Worst haircut EVER.
Asked for a 2 on top, tapper the sides and back.
This lady (with the shakes) proceeds to cut the top with a 2, and then starts to give me a fade. She left me hairs longer than a 2 on top. She also left me a line where her so called fade is supposed to be. I am going to have to cut my head with a zero and have it grow out again. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
