Motorcycle Scooter Repair & Maintenance Class DIY
We specialize in helping riders help themselves. If you want to find the best mechanic to work on your bike then look no further than the mirror. With the help of my 5 week workshop I can help you like I have helped 100’s of others understand what makes your bike tick and btw what that ticking sound your bikes is making. You will learn about what tools to buy and how to use them properly. The workshop will help you understand all the basic components, what they do and what causes them to fail. This will help you in performing diagnostics so you can proceed to repair the fault. Dealer repairs are costly because you can spend over $ 90 per hour and that can add up fast. Do it yourself and your repairs can be done at a fraction of that cost and at better or comparable quality to a dealer. Who loves your bike more than you do.
If you have a problem you can’t figure out after taking the class you also have back up where we can assist you in finding the fault and correcting it.
Shopping for a new used bike? Not having a clue can land you taking over repair payments for some other owner. Better to know up front what your getting into and having a way out then being naïve and getting burned at the sale. This class can show you how to make wise purchases.
Last, catch break downs before they occur by understanding the importance of preventative maintenance. How to inspect evaluate systems and replace them before they fail.
History
Established in 2010.
I started my motorcycle and scooter repair and maintenance class 5 years ago at the behest of various friends who had been badgering me to teach them how to «wrench» on their bikes. They were not wanting to do this for a living but just wanted to be more savvy about taking care of their bikes. One of them had a bad record for buying clunkers on Craigslist and was tired of making repair payments. I thought back what it took for me to learn this trade and I began to craft a course that would not be too daunting and yet not be too light. I had previously trained many mechanics over the course of a year while they were working for me but I had to condense this down to just 8 weeks but even that was a bit much and eventually tuned the class to the essentials at 5 weeks. Many folks from all walks of life and of various ages and genders have taken my classes. At the very least it will boost confidence and make the prospects of working on your bike less scary. Plus you have me at your back to
Meet the Business Owner
Bill N.
Business Owner
Hi, My name is Bill and I have been a motorcycle and scooter mechanic my entire life (47 years) professionally for over 20 years along with a stint as a prop fabricator working for the movie industry and currently working as a bike and marine mechanic (from jet ski’s to yachts). I have in the past worked on Japanese metrics, BMW’s, Moto Guzzi, Aprilias and Vespa scooters. I have also worked as a service manager at a Harley Davidson rental company. Even tho I still feel very passionate about working on bikes and with my hands, I have found that it is equally enjoyable to teach people what I know and what I have learned over the past 47 years. This way you don’t make the same mistakes I have made and you don’t make the mistakes that 1000’s of Youtube mechanics make each day.
