My friend had her birthday celebrated at this spa and wanted to share with her friends. What a treat!
I got a facial with Elizabeth, she was very gentle, my skin feels clean and rejuvenated! but the best part was the massage I got from Alma, she has strong fingers I tell you, I got the deep tissue massage with the hot stones (first time with the the stones) and i thought she went over time, because she cured all my aches and pains in just 55 minutes, NO WAY! i could not believe it! first time in my life i feel a massage was long enough to take care of all my aching muscles.
I already booked my next massage!
BTW the fruits are super sweet and I tasted the wine to see if it was recently opened and yeap! it was. Its a small location, in an ordinary shopping center. However I felt very happy that a small business like this can thrive in a major city like Los Angeles.

Got a massage here a few months back, and it felt amazing. My trouble spot is my upper back. You can’t imagine the horrible knots I have there. I sometimes feel bad for the massage therapist that has to massage out my back because of it.
My friend took me for my birthday for a nice relaxing massage. I got Alma, and requested she do the massage firm to really help my back. I always feel tension in my upper back, and therefore have trouble relaxing. After the massage, I could feel all my muscles relax and finally take a breath of their own. Alma did a very good job, and I will definitely consider coming back on a regular basis.
The ambiance in this place adds to the relaxation that you feel. Soothing music and very quiet. Although, that might have also been because we were the last customers of the day, and there was no one there except the employees.

I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a massage. The stars were in alignment because that very same day was the first day of Spa Week at Beach Massage. I highly recommend the Spa Week deal at Beach Massage, which is a 50 minute Swedish massage with hot stones for $ 50. I’m pretty sure they do this special for 1 week, twice per year.
I’ve tried a few other massage places in the area including the Massage Spot and Murad and I found Beach Massage to be a nice middle road spa. It still has that upscale vibe to it, and offers amenities that you don’t get at a low budget place. But it isn’t as insanely expensive and bougie as Murad.
I arrived a little early, changed into my robe and chilled in the waiting area getting all zen’d out, listening to ambient music and drinking the free wine that was available (duh). My therapist was a couple of minutes late in coming to get me, but I enjoyed the wait so it was fine.
My treatment was excellent, and I continued to feel the benefits of my massage for the rest of the week. I didn’t feel stiff or sore, and my joints didn’t crack when I stretched in the morning. I could have honestly used a little more pressure, but since this wasn’t a deep tissue massage I can’t complain too much. This was my first experience with hot stones and I really enjoyed it. The heat from the stones made me feel like my therapist had 4 hands! Overall, at Beach Massage I certainly had a more competent therapist and a better massage than at $ 39/​hr places.
After the massage, I went back to the locker room. Since it was late on a weeknight I was the only one in there, so I took a long shower and fully availed myself of all the amenities and freebies. This was a huge plus for me cause I hate the feeling of going home all oily. I also got to stretch out my spa experience and savor it a bit more. The facilities were clean and tranquil.
Non-​promo prices are a little steep to where I can’t make this a regular visit, but I will definitely be back during Spa Week!

I’ve worked in this area for almost six years and only came here for my first massage last October. I’ve been missing out! Johan (spelling?) was my masseuse and at first was reluctant, it was my first time having a male masseuse. I had a Swedish massage and it was very soothing yet he knew how to relax all my tension spots. It was amazing. He recommended a deep tissue massage for my next visit.
The second time I came here was for a waxing. Shannon was my esthetician and she’s just awesome! I felt very comfortable and honestly it was the least painful waxing on my hoo-​hah ever! She has a great technique with breathing that makes you forget what you’re in there for.
The place is located in the strip mall where the Sizzler’s is, in the inside corner. Don’t be fooled by the outside because it’s nice and calm once you’re inside. They provide lockers, robes, and slippers for you. There’s also a couple of showers and the necessary toiletries inside as well.

What a fabulous surprise! This place is not at all what I expected. It looks somewhat unappealing sitting in a strip mall nestled between falafel and burger joints, but when you walk in, you’re transported to a luxurious spa with *really* reasonable prices. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
After sitting in a weekend-​long conference in L.A., I desperately needed a massage. Beach Message squeezed us in on a Saturday evening with no fuss — we got terribly lost and ended up 30 minutes late to the appointment. (TIP IF YOU’RE USING YOUR GPS: The city should be El Segundo, NOT Los Angeles. Because I sadly learned that there is a 630 N Sepulveda in L.A. that is NOT Beach Massage and Day Spa!)
They didn’t complain one bit, said that they understood L.A. traffic, and still gave us our 1-​hour massages. Wow, a lot nicer than I would have been!
The massage from Alma — all I can say is the woman is a goddess. Best massage I’ve ever received. The rooms are very comfortable and private, the waiting area is comfy and inviting, and the changing area with lockers and fluffy robes is a nice touch. If I’m ever back in the area, I will most definitely return.

Such a pleasant surprise. I had time to kill before a flight out of LAX, and Beach Massage scheduled me in at the last minute. I wasn’t expecting much b/​c the prices are low but it was great. Sort of a mini Burke Williams. It was really relaxing and Angie gave me an amazing massage. They even give you a punch card where you can earn a free massage. I’ll be recommending this place to my friends.

This place is awesome. It’s not at all what you would expect from the outside, but once you step inside it’s pure bliss.
The staff is incredible and the flexibility for scheduling appointments is so nice.
Silvia did one of the best hot stone massages I’ve ever had and I cannot wait to go back to her. I also had a facial from Shannon and I literally fell asleep it was so relaxing.

Although I have gone to this spa occasionally, I never seem to get around to reviewing it. Yes, Fiona was my favorite… and will hopefully be back soon. But this time I had a new lady — Daneesha! Kudos to whatever massage school she just graduated from because they did a WONDERFUL job (or she paid good attention in class) because she has great hands… such a gift for a young, new, massage therapist!
Ignore the strip mall façade, and even the ever so subtle sales pitch for their new product lines… and go straight to the heavenly Swedish massage.
Cons:
No makeup remover for my messy mascara (my own fault, I guess I should have brought my own facial products).
Employees and their friends sitting right outside the door smoking — as the smoke wafted in, I stood at the front desk for a couple of minutes before I could breathe again (allergic) which definitely conflicted with the light odor of incense. Smoke lingered which make the sales pitch for skin products even more ridiculous.
Only 2 showers, so go at a slow time if you don’t have the time to linger.

AMAZING hot stone massage from Lilly — best ever!
I didnt know what to expect my first time, but had bought the Groupon — and the fact that it’s in a «strip mall/​plaza» made me a little weary, but wow! It was incredible!
The décor and ambiance was perfect — serene, relaxing and comfortable. The staff was so nice, genuine and patient in walking me through everything and answering any questions.
Lilly did my massage, and checked in on her pressure and temperature of the rocks the perfect amount– which was always perfect! It was very relaxing and fully exceeded my expectations.
Even though I got a seriously discounted rate, the full price would be worth every penny — will definitely go back!

Great place! Enjoyed a couple’s massage with my boyfriend recently. The spa is hidden in the corner of a small plaza just off PCH in El Segundo, but, once inside, it’s set up nicely — serene & peaceful. Clean, spacious, separate male/​female locker rooms & showers with all the necessities. The waiting room/​lobby area provides comfortable seating, as well as refreshments (try their lemonade — tasty!.) The couple’s room was private, with low lighting, aromatherapy, & soothing music. Wish the tables were set up closer, but the massage therapists were top notch!
Good, private couple’s massage places are difficult to locate, and from Irvine, this one is a drive but well worth it, especially for a special occasion. A must try.

Well, I was kind of disappointed. I kind of had the same experience that ST. had. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival, but as time when on I was let down. After writing this, I went from 3 stars to 2.
*Main points: If you dont want to read my rant*
— Masseuse was 15 Minutes late
— Poor massage technique and pressure consistency
— Front desk girl was loudly chatting with her friend right next to the thin walls of the day spa lounge where I waited for 20 minutes– made it hard to relax
–Poor music. Went between relaxing spa music with chimes and piano to Dave Mathews Band and Third Eye Blind.(?)
— Walls too thin– I could hear the business next door operating– made it really hard to relax while listening to a guy on the phone arranging some kind of pick-​up of {an order} (?).
The spa is set up well and the girl at the counter was very nice when I arrived. She showed me through the waiting room with a faux fireplace and couches to the locker room where I changed into a robe and slippers. Nice for a 30 minute massage. I was 10 minutes early so I relaxed until my 11 o’clock appointment. It seemed like I was *waiting forever* and there were no clocks so I walked back to the locker room to check the time on my phone. 11:15. So… where was the masseuse that was supposed to come get me?
I was also disappointed that while I was in the waiting room before, the girl at the front desk was talking SO loudly with her friend– took away from the «day spa» feel and made me feel like I was listening to a gossip channel.
She forgot she had an appointment I guess. So my 30 minute deep tissue massage started at 11:25 and she gave me 45 minutes instead of 30 and added scented oil instead of regular oil. Smelled nice, but it didn’t make up for the massage that I thought was pretty poor quality. Technique was a bit off. There’s more…
When I walked in, she asked me what areas she’d like me to focus on… so I said «well my feet are a little sore from walking a lot and my neck and shoulders always hold a lot of tension, so I guess those areas». What I thought was weird was that for 45 minutes she ONLY worked on my neck, back and shoulders… no lotion or oil on my arms, hands, legs, feet– nothing. I thought that was REALLY weird. I’ve had 30 minute massages before– lots of times– and they have always balanced the time to massage my whole body. I mean, I could have left my jeans and shoes on and she probably wouldn’t have noticed.
Sure, my shoulders felt better. Albeit, still knotty. I was pretty disappointed when I left. Also kind of weird that the music went between spa music (piano balads and chimes to Dave Matthews Band). Threw me off big time.
Another qualm– MAN the walls are thin! During my massage, I could hear a guy in the business next door talking on the phone and maybe ringing people up. Made it hard to relax.
I know it wasn’t Burke Williams and that it wasn’t expensive, but I had hope for better.
Guess I’ll just have to treat myself to another Birthday massage!

Working for a beauty supply distributor, we get a lot of randoms coming in buying product for their station. I met this little gem named Shannon and she convinced me to go and get a brazilian from her. Yeah, she was cute and I only let cute people touch my vaj, so why not?!
Got to BMDS and was greeted cheerily which was cool cuz the weather was horrible that day! they had me wait in the waiting room which was AWESOME. Shannon came around less than a couple minutes later. I don’t really open up to people easily (lol no pun intended) but she was very comforting and told me when to breathe. She’s also very meticulous! She spent awhile down there and it started making me a little nervous. But she got every hair! She left me with some good tips and that was that!
I returned to her about a month later for my eyebrows and had the same experience! I love this place!
*added note: when she gave me the brazilian, she used hard wax. That was the best wax I’ve ever used on my vaj!

I played beach volleyball a couple of days ago and really stressed my back so I decided to get a massage today. I called a couple places and this one could fit me in an hour after I called, so I chose Beach Massage. Also, they are still having their Spa Week specials, so $ 50 for a 55 minute Swedish massage sounds perfect to me (I believe it’s normally $ 65).
They’re in the plaza with Sizzler and other eateries so during lunch time on weekdays (which is when I went), parking is pretty hard to find. Luckily, they have an underground parking lot so there’s really no big issues there. The receptionist was very nice and showed me around. Now, I’ve only gotten a couple of other massages but i usually tend to go for the cheaper ones so I was surprised by how much pampering this one offered. She led me to the locker room (they have a locker room!) where I got my own locker to put my stuff into, a robe already set up for me and sandals to wear. After getting undressed and putting on the robe, I went out to a lounge area (with a fireplace) to wait for my masseuse — drinking the complimentary water and lemonade.
My masseuse, Sylvia, was very nice. She asked me if I had any areas I wanted her to focus on and I told her the right side of my back was hurting a lot. The massage itself was very nice, she had great technique, really helped me relax and even used hot towels to help relax my muscles.
My only issue I had is that she didn’t seem to focus extra on my back, like I asked. Maybe I wasn’t as vocal as I should have been about this but I felt she should have spent more time in that area, especially if she asked me about it. Other than that, I have no complaints about Sylvia, or Beach Massage at all. So my main tip is — if you have an area you really want focused on, make sure to stress that at the beginning, don’t just mention it and let it go.
Overall, I loved my experience with Beach Massage. However, once the Spa Week specials are up, I’ll probably find a cheaper place as there are other massages in the area for $ 45 – 50 an hour. If you’re looking for something a little fancier than those other massage places, this is definitely the one to go to.

As others have said, would definitely recommend Sandy. Been there a couple of times and the place is very nice inside. I’m usually the only guy in the locker room so that’s nice because I get a lot of privacy. The massage is always very relaxing… I think I even fell asleep last time. This is my regular spot now since I live and work close by.

I’ve been there twice, but I won’t be going back there for another massage.
I first heard about the place at the Farmer’s Market. There was this lady who gave me a free trial massage, and I LOVED it. So, a few weeks later, I called the place and asked lots of questions about the different services and massage therapists. I booked an appointment with Mona (the large black lady) for a Swedish massage, and I LOVED it. After an hour with her, I felt totally relaxed and all my knots had loosened up.
My second visit was a HUGE disappointment though. Since I had already been there before, I did not plan as far in advance. I actually called the day of and asked for Mona again. I was told that she had an injury and was out for several weeks, but assured me that Fiona would be just as good. Okay, I agreed. However, when I got there, I was told that Fiona wasn’t feeling well that day and went home early. Okay… I wasn’t sure if I should go ahead with another masseuse, but I was already there and I really needed a massage. So, I agreed – again – to go with yet another masseuse. That was a big mistake.
I forget her name… It was this thin, white lady. I booked for a Swedish massage, and I told her that I liked it firm. She must’ve not liked my feedback. A few minutes into my session, she said that my muscles were too tight and I should really upgrade to the Deep Tissue Massage. Okay… I thought, why not? Since I was already there, I thought I might as well get it done right. As soon as I agreed, she did go deeper and firmer, but it HURT. She was SO bony that when she ran her elbows or knuckles on my muscles, it hurt a lot. It would’ve helped if she had put on more lotion/​oil, but she didn’t. My skin was dry and there was a lot of friction between her hands and my back. As I was screaming in pain, she lectured me about how tight my muscles were and how I should come in more often.
Long story short, I left the place feeling more tight than loose. I did not feel pampered or relaxed at all. The lady was not only a bit condescending but I did not think she really knew how to work the muscles. I was not happy about paying more for a service I did not enjoy at all.
Besides, they only have showers there, no hot tub or steam room. Oh, did I mention how COLD the locker room was?

So this is one of those reviews that you really hesitate to write because you don’t want to share the wealth but here it goes. Don’t be thrown by the exterior (the spa is located in a older strip mall) because once you walk through the door you will feel like you are in higher end spa. I’ve had two Swedish massages with Sandy and she’s wonderful. She can really identify muscle tension and help relieve any aches and pains. She was also really friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I had a facial with Koji and he’s very gentle and meticulous.
The overall facility is very clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is that the robes were a little damp (I heard a couple other customers say the same thing) but I think they just had so many customers and were trying to wash and dry as quickly as possible. The prices are reasonable and they have a customer program where after 5 treatments you receive a free massage.

The ULTIMATE way to relax and escape in the middle of the work week… I’ve experinced Koji for the first time… he is the best at what he does… I had the Vichy shower treatment for 30 minutes and the 55 minute Beach Smooth (Swedish) Massage. Where do I begin?
Koji has hands that feel like fine Japanese silk… he started the treatment with the shower and exfoliation process. The Sugar Plum scrub is delictable… there are several products used during this treatment, I don’t want to ruin the surprise for anyone, so I shall digress and allow you the induction of heaven if you ever choose this treatment… I will say its like a pre-​mini massage…
The massage session was the best massage that I’ve ever had from any spa and I do get around the spa circuit at times… The lighting was perfect (they allow the client to adjust to their preference), the aromatherapy was subtle but very soft in scent, the massage bed was warmed, Koji adjusted the bed to suit my comfort level and height, and it all began… Please request Koji if you ever get the chance to experience this particular spa.
Going on a Thursday during the mid-​morning hour is the best way to utilize time off from work… it was very serene and empty. There was only one other person at the spa, we had the entire place to ourselves and since there weren’t any other clients to be seen I was given a little extra time on my treatments. (Koji was compensated with a nice tip)…
